This unit can record up to 704 x 480 at 30fps on all channels simultaneously.
Our Ultimate Series DVR features embedded Linux OS, remote monitoring from anywhere in the world, audio recording on all channels and H.264 compression. This is NOT a PC based DVR which is subject to viruses and hacking. This is a standalone unit built for only one purpose - the best quality video surveillance in the world.
The Ultimate Series DVR is the state-of-the-art in digital surveillance technology. This DVR features professional grade components and is manufactured to industrial standards. Its advanced functionality makes this one of the best standalone systems on the market today.
This unit is all about versatility. With HDMI, VGA and BNC Video outputs, you can operate several different monitors simultaneously. And, with the included Matrix output, you can also run a separate monitor that can be programmed to display a completely different series of cameras! Need to output a single camera to its own monitor? This is not a problem with our built-in loop connectors. Every channel has its own BNC output that can be used to provide video to a monitor, a multiplexer, or anywhere you need it!
The Ultimate Series records real-time video and audio at either CIF (360 x 240) or 4CIF (704 x 480) resolution on every channel. That's right! This unit can record up to 704 x 480 at 30fps on all channels simultaneously. Match this capability against any other DVR on the market today and you will see why this is truly the Ultimate DVR! It is ideal for use in casinos, for license plate capture, facial detection or anywhere that high resolution images are paramount.
The Ultimate Series DVR is amazingly simple to setup and operate. An intuitive mouse-driven interface provides very simple point-and-click control over all functions and settings. In addition, the unit also includes an IR remote control. The jog shuttle control can be used to easily fast forward, rewind, and advance frame by frame. Up to 16 channels can be played back at the same time at the DVR, and 4 channels can be played back via the web interface or client software.
The built-in Web server allows you to perform most every function of the DVR remotely with Internet Explorer. Client software is also included to allow you to centrally monitor multiple Ultimate Series units simultaneously. Two-way audio over the network or Internet is also standard on the Ultimate Series. So, not only can you hear what is going on, you can interact. This DVR supports up to 20 simultaneous network or Internet users. With Dynamic DNS support, it is not necessary to have a static IP address on your network in order to remotely access this DVR. This saves you money, as most ISPs charge extra for a static IP address.
Having the ability to remotely view your system is great, but what if you are on the road and just can't monitor your system all the time. This is no problem with the Ultimate Series DVRs highly flexible email capability. Just set up a standard POP email account and have the system email you anywhere based on any criteria you choose. Many of our customers have emails sent to their cell phone for real time alerts. You choose email triggers that you want, and the DVR does the rest.
Storage capacity will never be a problem with the Ultimate Series DVR. Up to 8 SATA hard disk drives can be installed if no burner is mounted, and up to 7 SATA drives can be installed if you choose to use the DVD-RW drive. In addition, the DVR supports eSATA to allow you to use removable external eSATA drives to store your footage. RAID hard disk management keeps your data safe from hard drive failures, while FTP backup and recording functionality ensures your video is safe even if the DVR is destroyed.
Video can be backed up to a DVD-RW or a USB thumb drive for safe keeping or in the event that you must give the footage to the police. Video can also be saved right on your PC for easy access.
The easy 3D mouse operated PTZ control allows you to control any PTZ camera. Just click on the screen and drag your mouse around. The PTZ camera follows the mouse pointer so you can smoothly and accurately follow any objects of interest.
This system runs on a rock solid Linux embedded OS, with embedded web server, and digital signal processors to bring you the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. This high end system will provide you with everything you need other than a monitor. If you tie the system into your network, you wont even need a monitor to view your DVR.
The Ultimate Series DVR comes with an industry leading FULL 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!
And don't forget that we provide support for every step of your installation project.

First let me say that we manage projects in 9 different states, and we have credit lines with the major suppliers in the security business, so we don’t really need just another equipment vendor to buy from especially one without terms.
When we started buying from your company, I was just looking to add a vendor to our growing list, and test out a few products, and then I got something I didn’t really expect, GREAT tech support.
I know that I am supposed to be writing a review for equipment, but I am writing this review because of the service that I have received during the short time we have been buying from Tech Pro. Michael Gallardo, has been nothing short of “Amanzing” it’s a phrase I’ve coined just for him, it means half man & half amazing.
After dealing with inadequate support people from various tech companies I just happened to get Mike as a support person at your company. I am totally & completely results driven, which is just another way of saying, you had better know your product when you talk to me, and be able to get to it quickly, he knows the products intimately and has a broad command across several different product lines, and he goes beyond the call of duty,” like a dog with a bone” I have such confidence in his knowledge that I now call him with other techs on the line just so I can confirm that they fully understand how install your products.
If he is not the standard for support at your company HE SHOULD BE, if I am ever in the need for an in house project manager, I will make him an offer he can’t refuse. Someone who actually knows what he’s doing, how refreshing…………….like a hug from nana! Thank you Michael, keep up the good work.
Large Size Resolution Recording Display, Great Quality
Review by Dean Vitale on Apr 09, 2013
This is a good bargain and an excellent DVR. It really isn't difficult to install the DVR yourself, and if you do, and you need help, Security Camera King is always there, at least Monday through Friday. They really do have an excellent support staff that is more than willing to help with just about any issue concerning your security camera system from purchasing to installation and operation. I can honestly say that they seemed genuinely interested in helping me and with their help I had everything taken care of within a few hours. Considering the large display of the Ultimate DVR (D1 or 704 X 480 pixels on each channel simultaneously) you may want to consider using the 700 TVL cameras available out there for the finest picture. The DVR is simply amazing and comes loaded with a bunch of features too numerous to mention all of them. It allows for up to 16 alarm inputs and 6 outputs (all alarm outputs are relays with 12 VDC output) and up to 16 channels of audio input. Likewise, there are a multiple number of display options including HDMI, VGA, and BNC video outputs and video matrixing and video loop outs if you need spot monitors. This full size version not only offers a bigger display but the unit itself has room for additional internal hard drives and/or a DVD burner. With this many cameras and the display as large as it is, if you run the unit continuously you'll want the maximum storage capacity that you can easily afford. Finally, you can remotely access your DVR and cameras using a computer connected to the Internet or an iPhone, iPad, Android or similar device. This system really has it all for a 16 channel DVR and I highly recommend it.
16 Channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 Realtime Security DVR
Review by Shockingly Good Electric, LLC. on Mar 14, 2013
You know, in the "old days" you usually had to worry about thefts occurring with regard to money or equipment. However, burglars have "expanded their horizons" to now include wire, especially copper core wire. With the rising cost of metals these days, it is not uncommon to find copper wire being pilfered, and in great quantities from electrical supply warehouses and even public utilities. So, we decided it was time to purchase the Security Camera King 16 Channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 realtime security DVR (actually we bought the DVR and some cameras). Apparently our fence is not longer a good enough deterrent to copper wire theft. This 16 channel unit has given us the ability to cover our entire supply yard as well as our office building and interior supply warehouse. The DVR works great and I like the D1 resolution because it is big enough that you can easily capture and identify someone's face. We have posted signs all over the place (on our building, our fence, etc.) that we now use video surveillance recording protection and we make some of our outdoor cameras obviously visible. So far we haven't had a theft since the system has been in place. The DVR records D1 resolution at 30 frames per second on all 16 channels simultaneously and the recordings are top notch quality. As I said before I like the larger D1 resolution too. The DVR comes with a lot of features that are useful too. For example we actually use all 3 simultaneous display monitors (HDMI, VGA, and BNC) and we record audio on 4 channels. The two way (bidirectional) audio lets us monitor are yard gate entrance. Each foreman is assigned a night or series of nights to "be on call" and carry an iPhone. The exterior cameras are set on motion detection with an e-mail notification to the iPhone. If they get notified, they can then use the iPhone to view the individual cameras. Ingenious!

To be honest, I wasn't that familiar with Security Camera King.com or their 16 channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 Realtime Security DVR and I actually stumbled across them when I "Googled" security cameras. I read a lot of their reviews and looked at a lot of their products, products that I was considering for my new restaurant's security camera system. Yes, I am a chef, not a security camera professional but to save money I thought I could at east try to install the system myself (saving money is an understatement, more like saving thousands to be accurate). I thought that if I can follow a recipe, I should be able to follow directions on how to install the DVR and cameras. After talking to several people, some of which were familiar with Security Camera King and recommended them to me, I decided to go with their products. Keep in mind they I found systems on the Internet for less than half the price of a Security Camera King system, but something made me leery of those sites and I have heard and seen good things about Security Camera King. Now I'm glad I did purchase my products through them. This 16 channel DVR is amazing! It records in a large resolution (D1) and at a speed that is real and lifelike. After checking out the DVR thoroughly I even managed to set up and alarm system through the DVR. Not only can I use the system for security but I can also use it to keep track of my customer's reactions and my staff. I'm not much of a security camera buff, so I hope this review still helps someone. What I can say is that their products are high quality and their support staff is beyond comparison when it comes to helping you in times of need. I'm sure if you are reading this you are considering making your own purchase and I am equally sure you will be as satisfied with your DVR as I am with mine.

I just recently started my own business, an Independent Grocers Association grocery store, and decided before I would open up the store I would get a security camera surveillance system installed. I got some estimates from three different local security companies and decide I couldn't afford it. I was complaining about it to my old college room mate and best friend and he said, "Try going on-line. Check out Security Camera King." So I did. I ended up purchasing a custom "tailored for my store" security system with the Security Camera King 16 Channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 Realtime Security DVR. The idea here was that I could afford it because this price was soooo much cheaper than the estimates and I thought I would install the system myself. I'll spare you all the details, but I did install the system and it wasn't really difficult. Further, I enlisted the help of the Security Camera King support department for help with first operating the DVR and getting it set up and they were more than willing to help, very knowledgeable, and were clearly understood. I've bot cameras that cover the grocery aisles and each check out register as well as the back and front exterior of the store. I've printed some large and colorful window decals to notify customers of the surveillance system in hope that it will prevent any shop lifting or robberies. I can honestly say that without Security Camera King's great prices and high quality products AND their wonderful support staff, I wouldn't have been able to afford a security camera surveillance system at this time. Great Product!

As a business owner myself, I encourage our patrons to generate reviews on our resort and as I believe in "practicing what you preach," the following is my review of a recent purchase we made at Security Camera King.com.
We had a 16 channel DVR that was originally installed by the security company that installed our security camera system a few years back but apparently after just a couple of years (and just outside of its warranty period) the original DVR we owned expired. Instead of wasting the money to ship it off and get it repaired, this time I decided to take matters into my own hands and purchase the DVR myself. We use all 16 video channels and one uses a PTZ camera for our parking lot. We also record audio at our counter, pool, and gym locations so we needed a DVR that handle all of this activity, record without fail, and not die on us in 2 years. A very close and trusted business associate and friend suggest I check out Security Camera King for replacement DVRs. All I can say is that I am totally satisfied with this 16 Channel Ultimate series DVR! It does an excellent job of recording the audio and video and it appears to be very reliable. I'm still learning and discovering the features that this unit has to offer. It integrated with all of our cameras perfectly, including the PTZ camera (Pelco-D protocol). We've taken advantage of the multiple display options by placing an LCD monitor in the office behind the front desk next to the telephone control board. This monitor is connected using the HDMI port so we can also hear the audio in the office. I have also placed a second full monitor behind the counter where only are staff can see it. This monitor is connected to the VGA port. The DVR does a great job of recording D1 resolution display video at 30 frames per second and I can honestly say the video quality is far better than the one the we had to replace. We purchased the DVD burner and have used it many times to back up footage and it works very well. When I discovered this DVR had alarm inputs and outputs I wired some doors at the resort, including the pool and gym, with sensors that are set through the DVR to turn on different colored LED displays in the office to alert the staff that someone has entered those areas. I really like the Internet connectability of the DVR. Once a connection to the Internet was established I was able to monitor and control the DVR and cameras from my computer as well as "look in" on the property as often as I like when I am away using my iPhone. What I particularly like about this DVR is the 3 year full warranty! At least I know I'm good for a minimum of three years with this unit. We've only had this DVR for a short period so I can't address the longevity of it. Because of that I will rate it at four stars. Once the DVR has outrun its warrant period I'll be back to write a new review or comment on this one and if it keeps operating like it has so far the rating will go up to five stars.

This is an excellent DVR that operate more like a central security system than just a DVR. I shopped around quite a bit in my quest for a DVR for my business both on line and off and I haven't been able to find any 16 channel D1 DVRs that offer everything the Security Camera King 16 Channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 Real-time Security DVR does for a cheaper price. In fact I found one web site that had a DVR that I thought was very close to this one except it didn't have alarm input and outputs and didn't mentioned that it recorded audio either, and the listed retail price was about $500 more at $1444. I didn't know what to expect with an on-line order but I will tell you there were a few things that influenced me. Your name usually came up first when I would do Google searches for security camera systems; you have several reviews from previous customers; your descriptions give some pretty good detail about your products, and when I contacted your support staff for help in making my decision they were more than happy to oblige. Good product plus good customer relations equals a five star rating from me!

I've dealt locally with TechPro Security for years when I lived in Southern Florida and now that I have moved to the West coast it's like they never left with the Security Camera King website. I've trusted this company with quality products and installation for years and I have no reason to stop now, so now I order all of my security camera surveillance products from them on the Internet. The most recent item my company has purchased from Security Camera King is the 16 Channel Ultimate Series H.264 D1 Realtime Security DVR. What a beauty this unit is. 16 Channels of D1 resolution at 30 frames per second recording time and it's hard to miss anything. As a matter of fact, I would suggest right off the bat that if you are going to use this DVR get yourself some 700 TVL cameras as well because when you combine 700 TVL cameras with D1 recordings your get some really great video footage. Since this DVR has alarm inputs and outputs that operate on 12 VDC output, you can use a relay for the output device and do just about whatever you want it to do if the alarm is triggered. Needless to say, our guys have done that and it works like a charm. It's hard to conceive that this unit is recording video in 16 channels at the rate it does and still performing alarm functions, audio, and Internet functions. Somebody put a lot of though into this DVR before they designed it and that's what I count on from Tech Pro. If you are looking for a great security camera video recording unit, I can definitely vouch for this one and I can also say I have never had any problems with it.
Security Camera King's 16 channel Ultimate series H.264 D1 realtime security DVR comes with just about everything a DVR needs (at least as far as I can think of) - it truly has all the bells and whistles. The quality and performance is premium too! This is a DVR that can record D1 on 16 channels simultaneously and all at 30 frames per second. I'd like someone to show me a PC or a MAC that can do that plus all the other functions it can handle. As a point of reference, I paid over $2000 for my PC with a large hard drive, lots of memory, and dual i7 processors and it still can't do it! Some of the additional features and options include 16 channel audio input, 16 channel alarm input and 6 channels of alarm outputs. HDMI, VGA, and BNC are all options for your monitor or you can hook a monitor of each type up to each one. The HDMI also delivers any audio recorded by the DVR and can display on your monitor or LCD/LED TV in 1080p resolution. The DVR has full Internet capability and has its own web server technology and is network capable too. It can easily control PTZ cameras with standard RS485 connections or if they are Security Camera King PTZs they can even be controlled using the USB mouse 3D positioning control. The DVR also includes its own USB mouse and infrared remote control. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that needs professional DVR recording results in D1 resolution display!

This DVR is for the "big boys." Sixteen channel D1 30 frames per second simultaneous recording would have been totally unheard of in as little as just a few years ago. So would the digital video storage potential that this unit has. No DVD burner and you can load it with 8 SATA hard drives and it still offers the ability to take on additional eSATA drives so storage space is not an issue if you have the drives. Sixteen channel audio and 16 channel alarm capabilities combined with three different display output connections, HDMI, VGA, and BNC make this unit incredibly versatile. I also like the on screen display menus for controlling everything. It takes a little bit of time to get used to the location of items on the menus but other than that the interface is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Security Camera King includes an infrared remote control and a USB mouse with the DVR to control the OSD. Another feature that you get with this DVR that is often overlooked and shouldn't be is Security Camera King's support options. The support staff is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable and will help you to install, set up, and operate your unit even if you are a complete novice! Every now and then you come across a quality product that has great performance and good dependability and I believe this is one of those products.
