The camera built into this unit utilizes a 380TVL high resolution 1/4 inch CCD with a 3.7mm wide angle lens. This will provide great coverage of any room in fairly low light. This Exit sign wireless camera works really well. Not only does it produce a clear, detailed black and white video but it is darn near impossible to determine that there is a camera in this sign. The camera seems to be pretty sensitive to light as well, meaning that it can produce decent video without the need for lots of illumination. It works well for us and I would recommend it to others.
