The camera built into this unit utilizes a 380TVL high resolution 1/4 inch CCD with a 3.7mm wide angle lens. This will provide great coverage of any room in fairly low light. This camera works really well. The previous owners of our home had a burglar alarm and there are motion detectors that look exactly like this in just about every room. I've installed a new 8 Channel Elite Series video system in the house and replaced the motion detector in my office with this camera. Works great and with very little light required.
