The IPBC-EL3MP is our brand new 3 Megapixel IP Network Box Security Camera. If you are seeking the absolute best resolution to capture the greatest amount of detail possible with your security cameras, then Megapixel Security Cameras are the way to go. These Ultra high resolution security cameras are capable of streaming 3 megapixel video at 15fps or 1080p (2 megapixel) video in real time (30fps). a 3 megapixel image has 34 times greater resolution than a standard DVR CIF image! Even a 1080p video will have 23 times greater resolution than a standard DVR CIF image. With images this large, these security cameras are ideal for large warehouses entrances, exits, driveways and parking lots. They can be used in the place of several standard security cameras. This Megapixel security camera is compatible with our new Hybrid Ultimate Series DVR and will allow for recording full 1080p video in realtime. Additionally, this security camera can be mounted and will record video in standalone mode with no DVR necessary when equipped with up to a 32gb SD card. There is also a BNC video output that can be used to connect to a standard DVR to integrate with your current security camera system while still recording up to 3 Megapixel Video on the SD card for reference when events occur. This security camera is dual voltage so you can use either a 12VDC or 24VAC power supply. It also has substream, motion detection, alarm inputs, alarm outputs, audio inputs and more. This is one of the most powerful Megapixel security cameras on the market. It is weatherproof, it features a Sony 1/2 inch CMOS sensor with a true day/night IR cut filter which performs incredibly well in low light, and is powered with the Texas Instrument DaVinci DSP. The lens is not included and you can use most C/CS mount lenses on the market, however we do recommend our MP IR Lenses for the best performance. Of course, this IP camera is compatible with all of our mobile applications including our IPhone, Android and Blackberry apps and integrates beautifully with our PSS Video management software.

Security Camera King's IPBC-EL3MP is a very good network camera. It was easy for me to install and configure, including the attachment of the lens and even setting up the OSD with the network settings. The camera can record from as high a resolution of 3.0 megapixels all the way down to VGA at various recording rates. It's loaded with electronic features and other options, some of which are very useful. It's a good camera overall, worth 5 stars in my opinion.
I don't think you can get much better than this. This camera records an incredible video picture with unbelievable detail. Our company purchased two of these cameras; one we use with our NVR at in one building and the other we use with our older DVR based system in another building. The camera connected to the network system records at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second while sending a D1 stream to the monitor screen. The other camera connected to the DVR system actually records at 3 megapixels at 15 frames per second to a 32 gig SD card that we insert in it. We monitor the camera using our DVR. The camera has the Sony Progressive Scan Exmor CMOS with the High Perfomarnce TI DaVinci digital signal processor and the do work very well together to produce not only a high resolution video but one that is color true too. Although the sensor produces great quality, it is not the strongest on low light sensitivity being rated at 0.2 Lux for color and 0.01 Lux for black and white. But it certainly doesn't lack on features. This camera has a myriad of options such as motion detection (thankfully especially for the SD card recording), alarm inputs, and audio. It's a very high quality camera and you shouldn't be disappointed with it should you choose to own one yourself.
I purchased three of these and they all work well. Since the 3 megapixel camera is only $20 more than Security Camera King's newer 2 megapixel box camera, I think it's worth the $20 just to have the option to go with 3 megapixels. Even thought the 3 megapixel resolution is at a 15 frame per second rate, that is plenty fast enough for our requirements. Besides, the clarity and realism of the video is amazing. There are not too many details you'll miss at 3.0 megapixels, you can count on that. For a megapixel camera, it has a pretty good low light sensitivity too. The specs rate it at 0.2 LUX in color and 0.01 LUX in black and white. The great thing about the black and white setting is that although you lose the color, the light sensitivity is greatly enhanced and the video picture is just as clear and viewable as the color during daylight. You can use this camera in a variety of ways so it is flexible too. NVR, Hybrid DVR/NVR, PC; there are several avenues to record the camera and you can slide an SD card in the slot in the back and record to it without even using another recording device. On the other hand, connect this camera to the network and you have darn near constant coverage. Anywhere you can gain access to a computer, tablet, or smart phone with Internet service and you can monitor this camera.

I really like my new Security Camera King 3 Megapixel IP Box camera! This resolution is simply incredible compared to the old analog systems. This camera alone can record in a full 3.0 megapixel resolution at 15 frames per second. If you prefer a faster recording rate of 30 frames per second, you can "drop" the resolution to 1080p or lower and record at a real time rate. The camera has a pretty good low light sensitivity, so you can get some decent night time shots. It's actually rated at 0.2 LUX minimum for color and 0.01 LUX minimum for black and white. It's dual stream encoded so no matter what type of high resolution you record at it will second a second stream at D1 resolution (or even CIF if you prefer) to conserve bandwidth on your network. The camera also offers audio ports for a microphone in and a speaker out, and it even has a BNC analog video output. Furthermore, you technically don't even need to own an NVR to record it. Using Security Camera King's free downloadable software and apps you can record this camera to your personal computer or view it as well, including from a smartphone. And, it will even go one step further. The camera provides for the insertion of an SD card (32 gigabyte maximum) so you can record using this camera as a standalone unit even. I can't see how anyone would be disappointed by it.
Nice operating IP megapixel network camera. We recently purchased 2 of the Security Camera King IPBC-EL3MP camera and added one to our existing IP camera and network video recorder system. The captured video is just outrageously good at 3 megapixels and very good at 2 megapixels. This camera can capture 3 megs at 15 frames per second and 2 megs (1080p) at 30 frames per second with no funky fisheye or bowed effect display. The other camera is set up in a remote location and is strictly a standalone mode camera. The distance is too far from us to bother to make it worth the effort of running a CAT5 Ethernet cable to it, and we really don't have any more room on our NVR anyway. We use the 32 Gigabyte SD card with it and have it capture during motion detection events. For our network connected camera, even the monitoring display is pretty good at D1 resolution. The camera has a lot of additional options such as alarm input and outputs, audio, etc. but we haven't used any of them so I can't say much about how they work. For a megapixel camera it has a pretty good low light sensitivity level that is down as load as 0.01 LUX in black and white and 0.2 LUX in color. By the time you add the cost of the megapixel lens to the camera, the cost becomes a little pricey but I think in the long run you will find it satisfactory.
If you are looking for the best in resolution and picture you've found it here. I don't know if they make a camera with a greater resolution than this one (I'm sure they do for special uses since we have 16 megapixel digital photography cameras now), but this incredibly impressive compared to an analog counterpart. You can record at 3 megapixel resolution with this camera at a frame rate of 15 frames per second or at lesser resolutions (1080p or 2 megapixels or lower) at real time rates of 30 frames per second. You don't have to own an NVR to utilize this box camera because it has a BNC connection to use with your DVR while at the dame time you can record up to the 3 megapixel resolution to a separate SD card with a maximum storage capacity of 32 gigabytes. The camera also transmits in dual streams so while the main stream is loaded with 3 megapixel resolution data the camera is also sending out a D1 (or CIF) stream to the monitor. The lower monitor resolution saves on bandwidth. The camera also has an audio out for a microphone for example and an audio in jack not to mention 1 input and 1 output alarm connection. It truly is a whole little powerhouse of 3 megapixel camera combined with its own little working DVR of sorts. I would recommend this camera to others.
It's not fair to the other box cameras to lump this 3 Megapixel IP box in with them -- it totally blows them away! You get anything higher than a 3 Megapixel resolution camera at this point and you're either doing something scientific or espionage like.....lol. This camera picks up fantastic detail. It can record 3 megs at 15 frames per second, which although it is not a real time rate, it is still vary applicable for security use. However, if you insist of a 30 frame per second rate, you can drop down to 2 megs on this camera (1080p) and you'll get it. You don't have to have an NVR for this camera. It has a BNC connector so you can use it on your regular DVR while still recording 3 Megs to an on board SD card (32 Gig max). It has some pretty good low light sensitivity to it rated at 0.2 LUX in color and 0.01 LUX in black and white. It utilizes ONVIF protocol so it should work on many different systems. I am totally satisfied beyond my expectations with this camera. I'm not sure how it works with other lenses because I didn't want to take the chance and not have it work correctly so I bought the 3.3 - 12mm 1/2.7 inch Megapixel IP camera Lens from Security Camera King. The lens is expensive but it works great!
Even though I didn't rate this camera at a full five stars I do like it a lot. The only thing about it is that I think the price is rather steep, although I am sure that will drop with time as technology improves. By the time you by the IP megapixel lens for this box camera you spent nearly $500 alone just on the camera. I guess if you really need it for some specific applications especially for business or commercial use it is worth it. However, you can by an ultra high resolution web cam these days ( you can buy a 1080p web cam at best buy for about $60.00) for a reasonable price. I'm not sure why it seems like the security cameras are still high. This camera like most 3 megapixel network cameras can only record the full 3 megapixel resolution at a less than real-time rate of 15 frames per second. It can however, record at 1080p at 30 frames per second. Although I made reference to the price of the lens earlier, there is one nice feature about it and that is you are not stuck with the typical 3.6 mm wide angle view. Of course like a lot of megapixel cameras these days you can plug this one into just about anything but your TV (you might even be able to do that, I don't know for sure.) It has a slot for an on board 32 gig SD card so you can even record to the camera itself. It also comes with all the other features that these types of cameras seem to have these days like alarm inputs and outputs, motion detection, and audio inputs. Since it is a network camera you can also access it using your smartphone or tablet as long as you have wireless Internet access.

When an on-line product has many reviews that are all perfect (in this case 5 stars) you sometimes wonder if the reviews are accurate or if the reviewer was just kind of "easy" on that product. We recently purchased four of these cameras at work but not till I had read all the reviews and done some research shopping on this type of camera. Once we received the cameras we were connecting them to our network via our 4 Channel NVR. I will tell you now that upon receiving the cameras I purposely went over the camera with a fine tooth comb to find something to complain about, and I couldn't. We received the cameras in just a couple of days after ordering them. They were packaged for shipping very well and none of the boxes, let alone any of the cameras were the slightest bit damaged. We went the "extra mile" with these cameras and we figured that as long as we were investing the money in an IP 3 megapixel camera, we might as well buy Security Camera King's 3.3 - 12 mm 1/2.7 inch Varifocal Megapixel IP Camera Lens for each camera as well. I will say the lenses seem a little expensive at $89.95 each, but once you see the video that these cameras produce I think like us, you'll have a tendency to agree that it is worth it. We run three of our cameras at 1080p at 30 frames per second with our Hybrid DVR/NVR and we use another one as a standalone camera that records in full 3 megapixels at 15 frames per minute. It is recording to a 32 gig SD card that fits on board in the camera's board. We use the BNC connection on the camera to hook it up to the DVR side of our recorder for the purpose of monitoring it. The camera is weatherproof and has a built in heater and blower. If there is anything negative I can say about it, it would be that you need to make sure if you mount it outdoors that, even though the camera is weatherproof, the lens is somewhat protected. The camera has several features that you are probably used to finding on average box cameras to enhance the quality of your video recordings including things like incredible low light performance, a separate sub stream than the main stream for monitoring with a lower resolution and using less bandwidth, motion detection, and it even has alarm functions. It's basically like having a camera and a mini DVR all in one. It's an excellent camera and I would guarantee that you won't be disappointed if you obtain one!
We love our Security Camera King IPBC-EL3MP 3 Megapixel IP box camera! When I have told other colleagues about this camera they sometimes ask me if this camera isn't a little bit of overkill. I can tell you that it's not for us, especially because we need to see fine detail. If there is anything strange at all about this camera, I would find it odd that someone would invest the money in it to record at VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution! (You can choose the image resolution from 3.0 Megapixels, 1080p, 720p, D1, CIF, or VGA). We record at a full 3.0 megs to the NVR and we stream at D1 for monitoring. It works great. The camera even comes with microphone and audio out connections for recording audio and also has an alarm input and output. It's really more like it is a DVR/camera combination than just a camera with these IP megapixels, especially this one. The camera has lots of video picture enhancement features that can be changed like the gain control, white balance and shutter speed, most of which are automatic but can be manually adjusted as well. The camera also has pretty good low light sensitivity for the excellent quality of the video, 0.2 LUX for color and 0.01 LUX for black and white. The camera also has a BNC video connection and it is dual voltage. It can also do POE (Power Over the Ethernet). We've actually only used one type of lens with our camera, the Security Camera King 3.3 -12 mm 1/2.7 inch Megapixel IP Camera Lens which works great. It's not cheap, but then again, neither is the camera and this is the lens I recommend you use. Don't shy away from this camera if you don't own an NVR! You can connect it to your DVR via the BNC connection for monitoring and record locally to a 32 gig SD card. Truly a five star camera!
