This is a day/night type camera that can automatically switch from color daytime viewing to infrared night time viewing allowing you to see in total darkness. This camera is a vandal dome with an IP66 weather rating so it can be installed indoors or outdoors. It is backed by a one-year factory warranty.
This Vandal Dome Security Camera is by far our most popular security camera. It features a 3.6mm lens with up to 50ft of infrared distance at night. This security camera is very versitile because it can be mounted almost anywhere. It is very small, and once installed it would be difficult for someone to vandalize it. The price of this camera makes it a great choice for residential and small business security needs. It is a great overview security camera.

I haven't had any problems with any of my cameras failing, but the quality of the video could be a little better. I realize the price is very cheap, but I would advise potential buyers to upgrade to at least the 600 TVL model for finer, clearer resolution.

I purchased 7 of these in March 2011 and have already had 2 fail completely. The picture quality is poor and they do not last very long You should select at least a camera with 550 lines.

The 420 series looks good in the daylight but when the lights go out you would never know who was breaking in. The 600 is sharp and crisp...I am upgrading to the 600 series.
