If you are going to invest over $13,000 in a camera, I highly doubt my review will give you much credence but just the same we have a particular contract specification that requires this camera so I am vary familiar with it and thought I would write a review. First of all this camera is a complete dynamo. It solid, and it damn well better be for the price tag. The entire camera weighs over 60 pounds and is made of 316L stainless steel. I can only think of two possible areas of vulnerability on this camera. They would be wither the lens cover areas or the point of attachment of the mount (and I don't mean where the camera attaches to the mount I mean where the mount attached to the building structure, pole, etc.) In other words as the old saying goes, the structure will give before the camera does. The unit actually carries an IP rating of 68 (which isn't surprising). As far as the actual video is concerned it's not bad. The resolution is 480 TVL which considering today's security camera standards and the price of this one I would think they could have done a little better than that. It's got a fair pan and tilt speed topping out at about 25 degrees per second. I am surprised at the light sensitivity considering it is infrared; it is rated at 0.7 LUX in color and 0.01 LUX in black and white, which considering the combined Fstop of the lens and thick lens cover is pretty good. And while we are on that subject the auto focus lens has an optical zoom factor of 18X. The PTZ has 128 presets including pan, tilt, and lens focus position. It's my recommendation, and of course you would any way with a purchase like this, that you contact the Security Camera King sales department for information specific to your needs. Other than the resolution being a little low at 480 TVL, I think the camera is an excellent functioning unit and produces a good video picture.

You don't buy a camera like this everyday, so when you do buy it, you expect a lot and with this camera you get it. This camera has a 480 TVL resolution in color but that can be bumped up to 600 TVL if you record in black and white. It's capable of 360 degree continuous panning rotation with a plus or minus tilt of 90 degrees. It accepts multiple protocols and offers preset positioning (128 presets) and auto tour monitoring. It has an 18X optical zoom lens with an integrated housing and infrared headlight. Our camera is mounted on Security Camera King's SVEX-M25 100 Kg stainless steel wall mounting bracket and works great. This camera is designed by Veilux and that brand name alone imparts quality to us in addition to Security Camera King. When you need a dependable camera to monitor a volatile environment that you cannot humanly monitor, this camera does the job.

I'm the security supervisor and collateral safety officer for a major chemical manufacturer. Our company uses some extremely volatile HAZMATS in our synthesis processes. We also produce some flammable organic based volatiles. This camera is used in areas where our employees are unable to go as log as the plant is operational. If this camera shuts down, the only way to check it is to shut down our operation, so we needed something that could handle the environment and continually produce without any hassles. This thing has got to be the Porsche of cameras! If it wasn't for the heat, I think you could use it to film the blast-off of a rocket from the launch pad!
