i purchased items on the 8th of april it was delivered on the 9th the tec came on monday 15th to install my system one of the camera is broken,,dontyou guys test your equipment before selling them to the customers,my tech called on monday someone told him they was going to send a another camera to replaced the bad one,it has not gotten here yet,so i called today the 18th and asked about if it was shipped out i was told that i had to send the bad camera back before i got issued a new one..iam very angry with this if you had send me good merchandise then i wouldnt have to waste my money for shipping to send back your bad product,and no wonder sometime we buy stuff from china cause we support our american companies and got screwed..now tell me why do i have to pay to send back your merchandise to get a new one that is lousy customers service i will let all my veteran friends know not to buy any thing from this company,i spent most of my disability check from the va to pay for my system and i cant even enjoyed it cause it is missing a camera..now tell me is this fair.......

You are correct, you should not have to pay to ship it back. This is a pretty good camera. It is fairly well disguised; you really have to "study" the smoke detector casing to suspect that a camera is inside. But generally, I think this unit would be mounted high enough on the ceiling that close inspection would not be possible. The camera is very small and especially very light so you can mount it in material like floating ceiling tiles if you are careful. It's got a 3.6 mm lens that gives a real good overview shot from above and the recorded video is pretty good at 630 TVL resolution. The camera has good low light sensitivity being rated at 0.1 LUX in color and 0.001 LUX in black and white. It also has an On Screen Display (OSD) menu that allows you to adjust many additional features. The OSD can be set by using the camera's built in button joystick that is located on the camera's video/power cable. It's got a good wide dynamic range to eliminate lighting problems but if the room it is in normally is lit that probably won't even be an issue.

This camera works surprisingly well. It's light enough to mount to ceiling tiles although for added insurance I bought long bolts with washers to mount it with just to be on the safe side. When people see it they usually don't think twice about it being a smoke detector.

I bought this camera to install in our office supply store room. Too many items have been disappearing lately and I need to find out why. I installed this on a weekend when no one else was around and connected it to my Security Camera King DVR. I have the black out feature on the monitor enabled for this channel so if anyone should see it by accident they won't see this camera. I hate to have to this, but sometimes you have to resort to covert methods. The camera is working great, no one has detected it yet. The 630 TVL resolution is pretty surprising to me for a hidden type camera. I would recommend this to others.

When it comes to covert cameras, this is one of the better ones. The case on this camera looks exactly like a smoke detector so as far as disguise is concerned, there isn't even an issue. The camera itself is light, so light that it can easily be mounted steadfastly on floating ceiling tiles if you like. The camera has a 3.6 mm overview lens that can catch a good majority of a room for a great overview shot. In addition the camera records in 630 TVL color resolution so the picture is a high quality video besides. If you think this is one of those trick or toy cameras, think again. This camera comes loaded with all kinds of features to enhance the video recording picture and to make the most of a variety of difficult lighting conditions. The camera has an On Screen Display menu system that is used to control many of these settings and features. Some of these features include wide dynamic range, back light compensation, motion detection, sense up, and digital noise reduction. The quality of this camera is as good as any dome camera with an OSD. It works great for our purposes.

This is not a novelty camera. This is a serious, high quality security surveillance camera inside a smoke detector case. We needed to add a camera to our system for a particular room in our office but we did not want the camera's presence to be obvious. This camera definitely does the trick. The 630 TVL color resolution is a high quality detailed recording resolution that does a very good job but it can even be bumped up to 700 TVL if you want to record in black and white. The 3.6 mm lens provides a good wide angle or overview shot, which is good because you'll probably want to mount this camera toward the center of the room (you seldom see a smoke detector mounted on the side or in the corner of a room). Unlike many hidden cameras, this camera comes with a variety of electronic image enhancing features like digital wide dynamic range, backlight compensation, alarm display, auto tracking, and many others. This are all controlled or adjusted by using the camera's On Screen Display (OSD) menu system. Once again, this camera produces great video in a variety of lighting conditions and I highly recommend it.

The 630 TVL smoke detector hidden camera is an all around great camera. It is very easy to mount and to install and set up. The camera is so well hidden within the smoke detector housing that you would really have to study it or be an expert on such things to tell it was a camera. Since this camera has the wide dynamic range and light sensitivity adjustments you can use it in very little light. Having a hidden camera is one thing, but considering this camera has a resolution of 630 TVL is simply amazing. The video is clear, color correct, and very smooth. I would recommend this product to others!

This camera looks just like a smoke detector. No one notices that it's actually a camera.
