Unboxing of the OB-EL630IR150L922 IR Bullet Security Camera
This is an unboxing video of our OB-EL630IR150L922.
This is a bullet camera with a mission! It gets great long range infrared video! The built in infrared LEDs (there is a lot of them) do an excellent job at "invisibly" illuminating the area for 150 feet in total darkness. The varifocal lens ranges from 9 to 22 mm so it really lets you "narrow in" on the field of vision if you like. With a 630 TVL resolution this camera provides a nice, high quality video recording, even in infrared mode. Do yourself a favor if you have a Security Camera King DVR and run a pair of wires to the RS485 connection so you can control the on screen display menu system from the DVR. The OSD gives you access to a bunch of electronic features including headlight compensation, wide dynamic range, and back light compensation to name a few. The camera is dual voltage so it can run off of either a 12 VDC or 24 VAC power supply. The camera offers an excellent price, infrared total distance range, and overall performance quality and is a value purchase for a price of much less than $200. I'd give it a rating of about 4.75 (there's always room for a little improvement) but since the rating system is either 4 or 5 stars I'll gladly go with five.

I put this camera in an extremely dark area and it looks like someone is holding a flood light down the area. 630tvl in color and dual voltage! The RS485 is the best part, I can access my OSD from anywhere to adjust my settings. This camera is amazing!
630 TVL Varifocal Weather Proof Long Range Dual Voltage IR Security Camera
Review by Kevin Orr on Oct 29, 2012
Security Camera King has this camera (the OB-EL630IR150L922) listed under the license plate category of cameras. I imagine that is because of the headlight and backlight compensation features that the camera has. But it is also very good for a lot of other outdoor uses (and indoor uses too I guess). The lens is a 9 to 22mm varifocal lens so it lends itself to license plate capture because of the ability to zoom in and tighten the shot. Since its lower range on the lens is 9mm it doesn't offer a wide angle view like say a 3.6 mm. But regardless of the lens, the camera provides an excellent color video in daylight and one that is just as good in black and white under the infrared mode. Speaking of which, the camera is loaded with built in infrared LEDs that give it a working range in total darkness of about 150 feet! The 630 TVL resolution provides some pretty fine detail and some real clear video pictures. The camera has an adjustable sun visor on the top and on the back of the camera there are two caps that you remove to adjust the lens zoom and the focus. It's dual voltage too so it works with 12 VDC systems as well as 24 VAC systems. The camera has an on screen menu for adjusting settings and "tweaking" features that enhance the video. In addition to those already mentioned above, the OSD has wide dynamic range, day/night settings, back light compensation and more. The camera is easy to mount and rugged enough to withstand most weather. The price is not exorbitant and the quality is very good. I rate this camera at five stars and recommend it to others.
The 630 TVL Varifocal Weatherproof Long Range Dual Voltage IR Security Camera Has It All!
Review by F. D. on Oct 20, 2012
This 630 TVL resolution has got it all. It comes with a full 150 foot infrared mode range that displays a very clear black and white picture and a 9 - 22 mm varifocal lens that allows you to adjust the camera angle from medium to a tight shot. The lens is adjusted manually using a knob on the outside of the case (i.e. the lens is not an electric motorized lens). If you own a Security Camera King DVR or a compatible DVR with an RS485 input connection, you can run a pair of wires from the camera to your DVR and control everything on the camera from your DVR except the varifocal lens. The camera has an on screen display menu system that will pop up on your monitor that you can control from the DVR using the RS485 connection. This gives you access to adjusting the settings on features like wide dynamic range, white balance, day/night sensitivity, and even head light and back up light compensation if you intend to use it for capturing license plates. The camera is also dual voltage allowing for use on 12 VDC or 24 VAC systems although I have no need for the 24 V because I use a standard 12 VDC system. The camera produces a really good color shot during the day and a clear, sharp black and white shot as well at night. It a great camera and because of the infrared range, the varifocal lens, the resolution, and the electronic features I can easily rate this at five stars.

Your 630 TVL Varifocal Weather Proof Long Range Dual Voltage IR Security Camera, OB-EL630IR150L922, is an excellent camera. I have this mounted on my garage to cover my fairly long driveway and it does so very well. Even at night the long range of the infrared mode allows me to see who's coming before they ever stop the car. The camera offers a good resolution picture that captures clear, detailed video. I set the camera up to adjust the features from my DVR which is connected to my big screen LCD TV. The wide dynamic range helps keep shots clear during rising and setting sun, tree shadows, and other objects that would normally cast shadows or other lighting problems. The price is still fairly reasonable for home use too. I give this camera a five star rating and recommend it to others that are looking for a long infrared range bullet camera with good resolution and a varifocal lens.
The 630 TVL Varifocal Weather Proof Long Range Dual Voltage IR Security camera - well, the name pretty much says it all. Good video quality, easy to mount and hook up, nice long range lens, and a sound 150 foot infrared range distance. The on screen display menu makes set up easy. Once again, nice camera!
I received this camera just a few days after placing my on-line order. I installed the camera the same day. Installation was easy (just put in a few screws) and mounting the camera was too. This camera’s infrared range is incredibly long and its video picture is incredibly detailed. What makes it even better is that it has a fairly wide field of vision but with unbelievable high resolution. The varifocal lens permits zooming in and out also. This is a quality camera well worth the price; I would recommend this camera to others.
This camera produces a high resolution video image. 550 TVL is plenty enough detail for me. I like the fact that is has a varifocal lens so if I want a tight shot all I have to do adjust the lens. The 72 IR LEDs light up the night, at least as far as the camera's sensor chip is concerned. I can't see a thin when they are one. I must admit that the real thing that attracted me to this camera was the 200' IR range.
Great working camera. The IR range of 200 feet is remarkable. We use this to monitor our back yard. It has a great picture quality with high resolution. It was easy to mount and connect to our existing system.
This is a nice camera. The 550TVL resolution looks like high definition television, even under infrared conditions. The built in varifocal lens provides versatility in mounting options and works very well. If you are looking for a great, high resolution color camera and black and white infrared camera with a long range (I actually get a little more than 200 feet) I recommend you purchase this one. The features and quality is superb while the price is economical.
