For a true day/night camera this vandal dome does a pretty good job. The varifocal lens lets you adjust your shot to get exactly what you want within the frame. No LEDs are needed for this camera and it's got a built on screen display for setting features to get the best recording. The quality of the recorded video is really very impressive.

The picture quality of this camera is very good, even in low light situations. The price is conservative for most commercial applications and is certainly affordable even for residential applications. The best place to use this camera though is somewhere there is at least a little bit of ambient light (such as retail stores, store display windows, front offices, etc) because that's where the low light sensitivity color video recording really shines for this camera without the need for infrared illuminating LEDs. Another "plus" that adds to the video recording quality is the 700 TVL color resolution and the color is hue is very accurate. This camera adds to its versatility with a 2.8 to 12 mm varifocal lens. This is another reason why it's great for use in store fronts; the varifocal lens allows you to mount the camera just about anywhere and tighten in the shot with the zoom wherever you mount the camera. If you have an existing system with a 24 VAC power supply (like for PTZs) this camera is dual voltage so it can adapt to that as well. Finally the camera has an On Screen Display system that can be used to adjust many features of the camera to enhance the video recording. I've used several of these cameras in a variety of places (like those listed above) and it works great.

This camera is great for use indoors where there is always a little light. It is so light sensitive that it can produce great color video even in low light conditions. Some good places for using this would be in building lobbies, malls, department stores, and other areas where security is important but infrared is not necessarily required and you want to maintain a good color video recording. The 700 TVL resolution is just great; it shows some really good detail and helps to produce a sharp, clear video that is color correct. The lens is a 2.8 to 12 mm varifocal lens so you can go wide or zoom in, which really helps if you have limited places for mounting. It's also dual voltage although I use a Security Camera King 12 VDC system so I've never tried the 24 VAC option. On top of all this the camera also has an on screen display menu system that allows you to adjust settings on several features to make your video shot even better. You really have to see the video quality produced by this camera to appreciate it! I'll give it five stars out of five.

Great video produced by a great camera! This camera has 700 TVL resolution which is the finest you can get without going megapixel and a 2.8 to 12 mm varifocal lens to vary the angle of the shot. There is no infrared mode, it stays in true color all the way and although the camera can operate in low light it is only rated to .1 lux (many can go to .0001). Still, it's a great camera with a lot of features that can be controlled by an on screen display menu. Works great, installs easy, produces a high quality video!

This camera works great on my 24 VAC system. Excellent quality video picture with extremely fine detail and sharp, color correct display. The built in intensifier must do a good job because I can see things clearly in very low light with this camera. The varifocal lens is a plus too.

This camera has great resolution. I saw cameras boasting similar specifications that ranged from $88 to $354! I consulted with a friend that is a CCTV installer and he suggested I take a look at yours. I did, and I bought it. As I said before this camera has great resolution. The varifocal lens gives you the ability to adjust the width of your shot and the dual voltage let's me hook it up to my older system without a hitch. It does a pretty darn good job at producing true color video in low light conditions as well.
