700 TVL Dual Power Wide Dynamic Range Box Surveillance Camera

In my way of thinking, if you need a high quality security camera system, then you'll want to use a high quality camera. This one will certainly do the job. I just installed three of these cameras and they work great! The camera's resolution is pretty much the max these days for analog cameras and creates a high quality video with surprising detail. The camera has an On Screen Display that will allow you to adjust many different features, one of those features, wide dynamic range, is almost a requirement for my outdoor placements. If you are familiar with using security cameras you know that the wide dynamic range is such a useful feature that once you use a camera that has it, you're addicted and don't ever want to use a camera without it again. It compensates for challenging lighting situations, especially shadows created by rising and setting suns that might other wise black out on the video. And speaking of light, if you crank up the Sense Up option in the OSD you can even get this thing to pickup video in light as low as 0.0002 lux which is totally amazing.

I purchased this camera to use for an especially long cable run that I have on my system. In addition to the 24 VAC feature which provides for use of AC voltage that helps to prevent the voltage degradation I could suffer using DC, this camera has a lot of other features that are controlled by the On Screen Display (OSD) menu. It's got very good low light sensitivity and produces an excellent quality color video pictures. Specifically, the back light compensation and motion detection features work extremely well. I would definitely purchase another one if I ever need it.

Let me tell you right up front; you will pay a little more for this camera but the quality of the recorded video is worth every bit of it. I work for the security division at a large department store but I purchased this camera for my own home use. The camera shot is set up for the length of my driveway continuing out into the street. I can easily see individuals in the passing cars and identify a good majority of them, that's how good the video is with this camera. In addition to the 700 TVL if you turn the Sens Up function on you can get great night time video since the camera only requires 0.0002 LUX of light. The camera does have an On Screen Display (OSD) menu and it can be operated remotely via the RS485 connection. The wide dynamic range, especially during sunrise and sunset hours during the daytime works extremely well. Other features that can be controlled by the OSD include back light compensation, motion detection, privacy regions, and automatic gain control. There's more than that and if you need are interested or need to more download Security Camera King's specifications sheet or call them and talk to their sales staff. The bottom line is that this is a very nice camera and I would recommend it to others because I know they will find it as impressive as I do.

Security Camera King's 700 TVL dual power wide dynamic range box surveillance camera is not a bad camera at all. It's a little pricey by the time you add the cost of a good lens (total cost will be over $200 for the lens and camera) but in my opinion the camera has a lot of features, two which really stick out. You can usually count on Veilux camera as being pretty high quality pieces of equipment, nothing different with that here. However this camera has a particularly good wide dynamic range feature that really helps to compensate for shadows and other lighting problems. If you've ever mounted a camera that shoots in a direction of the setting sun and tried to get clear details of the object that's in front, you'll know what I mean. The other feature that sticks out to me is the low light sensitivity. You can "goose" out a minimum low light working capability of 0.0002 LUX by turning on the Sense Up and making some fine tune adjustments. I think the 700 TVL resolution pretty well goes without saying that it creates a dynamic, sharp, color true video picture. Other features include 3D Digital noise reduction (handy when using Sense Up), motion detection, privacy mask and back light compensation (used in conjunction with WDR helps to establish a very good picture regardless of poor lighting situations.
700 TVL Dual Power WideDynamic Range Box Surveillance Camera Has No Competition!

The Security Camera King TPS-70DNRD 700 TVL box camera really doesn't have any competition, at least in my mind. No with other analog box cameras, at least, it truly is that good. It produces and excellent, high quality color video image at 30 frames per second that is incredibly clear and colorful. The camera is a true day/night camera so no infrared illuminators are necessary for operation. Of course that means it does have a mechanical infrared filter. If you adjust the Sens Up feature you can easily get a low light sensitivity of 0.0002 LUX which is very little light. (Moon lit nights provide far more than enough light. Indoors, such as in retails stores, the residual lighting usually left on at night is far more than enough light to produce an excellent video recording. Even with the Sens Up off it can handle only 0.14 LUX which is great. The camera has an RS485 connection for a pair of wires to connect to the RS485 connection on your DVR. Using the RS485 you can control the camera's On Screen Display (OSD) menu from the comfort of your seat at the DVR (versus climbing a ladder for example and pushing buttons on the camera every time you need to adjust or readjust its settings). The OSD is easy to navigate and operates like any camera's typical OSD menu. There are many settings and features available to enhance your video coverage via the OSD including Lens control, E-shutter, backlight, wide dynamic range, automatic gain control, white balance, motion detection, privacy zones, and digital noise reduction to name a few. Many of these features work automatically but can also be overridden by manual control through the OSD. With all of these features, a 700 TVL color resolution capture, and a high quality lens, I'd venture to say that this camera has no competition at its level. I don't think anything can beat it.
Great Camera - and because of that make sure you get a good lens that will suit your purpose. It produces a really nice, high quality video recording with 700 TVL resolution so its good for DVRs that record in D1 too. The camera has a pretty extensive wide dynamic range that improves the quality of a lot of shots, especially with those with a lot of back lighting. The camera has an OSD that you can use to tweak the settings. According to the specs its got a minimum lighting requirement of only 0.0002 which sounds about right, It does an excellent job of night time capture.

This is an excellent box camera. Security Camera King's "Description" section doesn't do this camera justice because it doesn't list the many features this camera has. First off, the resolution is 700 TVL which is about the highest resolution you can get right now in color for a non-megapixel camera. The screen displays are very clear, very fine, and color correct. The camera has a minimum light source of 0.0002 LUX with the Sens-Up feature on. Speaking of which, it has an On Screen Display menu that allows you to adjust things like E-shutter, backlight, wide dynamic range, automatic gain control, Sens-Up, White balance, day and night motion, mirror, sharpness, and many, many more. All I can say is that we are using them and we are very satisfied with the results.

I bought two of these to use on a job with driveways on each side of the building. They work great and with the wide dynamic range they eliminate a lot of lighting problems that other "automatic" cameras wouldn't.
If you are looking for a camera that will deliver professional looking digital video recordings Security Camera King's TPS-70DNRD box camera does the job at a realtively modest price. The camera produces a 700 TVL image which is just about as good as you can get right now without going to a megapixel camera. This box camera has a mechanical infrared filter that allows the camera to be a true day/night camera producing color images in very low light conditions (down to .0002 LUX with the filter off and the Sense Up on). Also the camera comes with an On Screen Display menu system that can be used to adjust many video enhancing features including wide dynamic range and back light compensation. Good camera, easy to install, works very well. I'd recommend it.

We've got a large warehouse that requires some good security camera coverage. We've analyzed our needs and decided that three of these cameras would sufficiently cover the warehouse. They are working great! The cameras have pretty long power and video cable runs so we decided to go with the 24 VAC option in hope that we wouldn't experience any serious voltage drops and it worked great. Not only that, but the warehouse has windows that that adjoin each other all along the top of the warehouse. The wide dynamic range of this camera does a good job of compensating for light changes (for example when the sun shines through these windows) and since there is always a minimal amount of light on in the warehouse, these cameras do an excellent job of recording around the clock even with the Sens Up off. We tried using the preset profiles for the cameras but because of our unique situation and the placement of each camera, each camera required different on screen display adjustments. They all work great. I'd recommend this camera if your looking for a nice high resolution box camera with a reasonable wide dynamic range function.
