Nice camera with excellent high resolution and low-light sensitivity for the price! I like the design of this camera too. The camera is sleek and modern looking and it doesn't stick out as much as older box cameras when you use it in an indoor setting (without a case). On the technical side, the camera has a Sony ExView HAD II CCD and Effio-E digital signal processor chip set which characteristically has a history of good quality video reproduction. The CCD is sensitive to low light conditions, down to 0.001LUX so it really is good enough for most applications without the need for external illumination ( it works well in my store around the clock). The camera comes with an On Screen Display that allows the control of many useful features including, motion detection, image brightness, and backlight compensation. I use a 2.8 to 12 mm varifocal lens and right now have it set at about half or to the lower half of the vocal length range. With the high resolution, it still grabs some pretty good details.
700 TVL Dual Voltage Day/Night Box Security Camera
Review by Fairdale Machinery, Inc. on Apr 16, 2013
Great camera! We have had no problems at all with this camera (we use all of them indoors) and it produces a pretty high detailed, sharp, color correct video. To me one of the biggest versatilities about box cameras in the lens choice and the varifocal lens we are using with our cameras is a perfect fit. That, combined with the Sony ExView HAD II CCD and Effio digital signal processor combination yields a great picture (yes, I'm biased but only because I feel that it is a good quality combination of electronic manufacturing). This camera has great low light sensitivity (with our lights on in the shop--we run 24 hours real low light sensitivity really isn't even an issue for us). The OSD has back light compensation, brightness, motion detection, privacy zones, and other adjustable features that also enhance the picture and add to the versatility of the camera. We are happy with it and would recommend it to others.
I don't think you'll be disappointed by this camera at all. It has a Sony ExView HAD II CCD with a Sony Effio-E disgital signal processor chip and it produces a very nice, clean, colorful video not to mention the high 700 TVL resolution. Minimum LUX rating for this camera is at about 0.001 so it is pretty darn light sensitive too. The camera comes with an OSD that includes adjustments for privacy zones, motion detection, brightness, white balance, and backlight compensation to name a few. It also has dual voltage so if you need it for long cable runs it can handle 24 VAC. This camera though, is particularly good to use inside. It seems to be suited best for that and I like the contemporary seek design that it has so it doesn't really stick out like a sore thumb.

Security Camera Kings 700 TVL Dual Voltage Day/Night Box Security Camera, product# BC-EF700, is a nice camera. Excellent quality picture reproduction with good color tone, clarity, and detail at a 700 TVL resolution. This camera has an On Screen Display (OSD) but doesn't have an RS485 connection for remote operation of the OSD. Buttons for operating the OSD are on the side of the camera right behind the lens cord plug. I don't have a tendency to do a lot of adjustments to the OSD on my cameras once they are set. I set them up and then run with it. So that being the case, the remote RS485 connection isn't that important to me. However, the 700 TVL resolution and color correct video picture this camera creates is great. Personally, I'd spend the $10 bucks over the Security Camera King 630 TVL Camera, product# BC-EL630 just for the extra resolution.

This is a great working box camera. There no way you can be disappointed with it. Security Camera King has done a good job with this one. For some reason (and this may sound a little weird I suppose) I am even attracted to the shape/design more so than regular box cameras. This one is thinner, sleek, and looks more contemporary. Not that that has anything to do with functionality I guess, but I do like the design. Security Camera King's BC-EF700 takes very high quality video pictures at a color resolution of 700 TVL. We especially like Security Camera Kings 5-100 Varifocal Auto Iris Lens for Professional CCD Cameras, it gives you a lot of zoom capability and produces a very sharp, clear, beautiful color video. The camera has great low light sensitivity; it is rated at as low as 0.0001 LUX! It comes with up to 8 privacy zones and 4 areas for motion detection as well as white balance and back light compensation. The chipset in this camera has to be good and Sony is pretty reputable for that anyways because the captured video is excellent.

I needed to install a security camera system for my business and I wasn't exactly sure what I needed. I called Security Camera King's toll free number and spoke to my representative. I explained my layout, what I wanted to achieve, want I would LIKE to have and what I could AFFORD. Security Camera King recommended this 700 TVL box camera and I wasn't really sure I was going to like it. Yet the price was within my range and I figured if it didn't work out I could always return it. I've got to say that I am VERY impressed! This turned out to be a great camera, especially for a price tag of just under $100! The quality of the video is amazing, the recording displays are sharp, clear, and color balanced. I use this with a Security Camera King 6 -60 mm lens at I can do some pretty good zooming. Its got all the OSD features you'd expect from more expensive cameras like white balance, mirror, wide dynamic range, and even motion detection and privacy zones. Definitely a recommendable camera!

I bought two of these cameras from Security Camera King to cover the front and back of my store (my other 6 cameras are domes that are inside). They work great. The front camera has a fairly wide angle on the lens and allows me to catch every bit of the storefront plus the entrance. I've tighten up the shot a bit for the back and it covers the back door and our dumpster very well. There's always some light in the front of the store, and the back has a nearby telephone pole with a streetlight on it so the camera has absolutely no problem capturing pictures at night time. In fact my video recordings are all strictly in color.

The salesman recommended this camera based on my needs. I. was a litle reluctant to try a box cam, but I am SO glad I did. The performance of this camera blown me away! It's by far my favorite camera, the chipset in this camera is unbelieveable. You will NOT be disapppinted. The setup was a breeze. I plan to buy a few more.

Security Camera King's BC-EF700 is quite a box camera. At 700 TVL resolution, you can't get more detail in the video capture without moving up to an IP megapixel camera. It doesn't have infrared LEDs because it is sensitive enough to operate as a true day/night camera and at the proper settings works in low light conditions as low as 0.001 LUX (and using the OSD you can configure this camera to stay in color mode at night too). For added convenience, it can handle dual voltage as well. It's a very good camera. The only other thing I can add is to make sure you get a good quality lens, the camera deserves it.
