From my point of view, I think this is the best Security Camera King bullet camera you can get for the price and the included features. It produces a great color picture (video) that is very accurate on color and is high quality with some pretty good detail at 700 TVL. Actually the camera records in even higher resolution, at 730 TVL in black and white. I never thought I would see an analog camera get over 700 TVL in resolution! There are several positive qualities about the camera. Some of them include that since it is a weatherproof bullet, you get the quality of a box camera without the added expense of the lens and outdoor casing you would other wise need for a box camera. Also, because of the construction of the mount, you have the freedom to move the camera in just about any position you want after mounting it unlike some of the more restrictive dome cameras. Another plus is the camera's varifocal lens. With a range of 2.8 to 12 mm you can go from very wide angle to zooming in a bit with a narrower field of view. This helps in deciding where to mount the cameras since the lens is varifocal it gives you a little more latitude in this respect. Even though this camera has an infrared mode, it is still rated for 0.001 lux without it, which is pretty darn sensitive. However if you do use the infrared mode, the on-board LED illuminators will give it a range of about 100 feet in total darkness and more if there are other infrared illumination sources around. The camera has a little joystick button that is built right into the camera cable so you can adjust the On Screen Display menu, or you can take advantage of its ability to connect to an RS485 port on your DVR for remote control of the OSD from your DVR. And of course the OSD has several electronic features that you can adjust to enhance your video, including wide dynamic range which helps to eliminate a lot of lighting problems that you may often encounter from outside installations. Good camera overall!

I ordered this camera from Security Camera King on line and received it before the end of the week. I was eager to see what the quality of the camera was like so I mounted the camera the same day I received it. Mounting the camera was easy. All you have to do is drill a hole for the cables and mount the bullet camera's mounting plate with three screws. As long as you can make the screws stick (i.e. using anchors in brick, block or concrete for example) it will mount just about anywhere. The camera has a 2.8 to 12 mm varifocal lens so there is some room for zooming after it is mounted. Also, since you can zoom you could potentially "zero in" on an area outside the range of most "average" infrared cameras (50 feet) but this camera has an infrared range of 100 feet so you can easily see things at a distance in the dark. The camera also has it's own On Screen Display menu that is controlled by a joystick type button device built right into the video cable. As for the recording quality, the recorded video is very clear, sharp, and detailed. The color even seems to be a good match. This camera is definitely a good buy.

I'm impressed! I think this is a nicely (conservative) priced bullet camera for having infrared, an On Screen Display, and a varifocal lens. We've purchased two of these and use them around our store. They work great. The 700 TVL high resolution display has the reputable quality that I would expect from the Sony HADII CCD and the Effio-E digital signal processor. The video is clear, sharp, and I must say that the color is spot on. The camera installs pretty easily and has a multiple direction mount so you can turn and twist it once it's mounted in just about any direction you need. The varifocal lens is a 2.8 to 12 mm lens that allows you some flexibility in where you mount the camera and how you want your video field of view to appear from wide angle to a narrower, zoomed approach. The OSD on this camera is built into the camera's cable and is controlled by moving a button-like joystick control. There are several features that may come in handy for you including white back light compensation, wide dynamic range (or Automatic Tone Reproduction), motion detection, and privacy masking to name a few. The camera is rated IP66 so there is no need to worry about using it outdoors, it can handle it. I'm happy with the performance of our cameras and I don't think that you would be disappointed either.

As an independent CCTV installer I have the freed to experiment with different types and brands of cameras based on my different customers requirements. However, I have to admit that I have been ordering a lot of items from Security Camera King for the past couple of years. I was on the phone with their sales department a few days ago telling them what I was looking for. They suggested that I give this camera a try. I like it! It's got a contemporary design look to it but not only does it look good but it works good too! The 700 TVL resolution color video doesn't leave much up to the imagination as it captures just about all the details. What I really like about this camera in addition to the other features is the 2.8 - 12 mm varifocal lens, at this low of a price. It adjusts easily and goes from the widest you can get to a pretty good zoom shot. The camera has an On Screen Display (OSD) that you control with a button joystick built right into the video cable line. There are a lot of things that can be adjusted but the wide dynamic range is the biggest plus. Also, I was surprised at the IR range of 100 feet for this camera since it is only a 12 VDC camera. But that works great too! Keep putting them out there Security Camera King!
