This CCTV video tester will make a big difference for you during the installation and configuration of your security camera system. With this unit, you will plug the security camera into the CCTV tester to help with focusing and configuring the OSD of the security camera. It can test and control PTZ cameras, test UDP cables, test RS485 and much more. It can be used for PAL or NTSC cameras. It can be powered by the DC9
v adapter or with two 3.6V rechargeable 3.6V batteries. The charge will last 5 hours and takes 5 hours to recharge.
I bought this tester from Security Camera King almost a year ago. It still works great and I've had no problems. I've told some of my buddies in the business about it and recommended it to them.

If you are a professional CCTV installer you've got to have a good LCD tester. Unless of course you like to add a tremendous amount of unnecessary time and effort to your installs. (Ever climb up and down a ladder and run to the DVR to adjust 32 different cameras--I don't think so.) If you are an installer, chances are you already have a tester and portable monitor, but if yours ever breaks or your looking to upgrade to a newer model, Security Camera King's CCTV LCD Tester is well worth the investment. You can use this to test zoom and focus settings, adjusting the camera OSD right during the install, test PTZ cameras and cables, wires, and connectors. In addition to being rechargeable it can also be powered by a DC 9 volt adapter if needed. I keep mine charged every night and carry the charger with me. If I should ever run out of juice (which I haven't yet) I can just put it on charge while I'm doing cable runs first then have enough energy to use it to complete the install.

Makes a nice portable monitor for setting the shot and setting camera OSDs. It holds its charge pretty well and test many other connections and types of connections as well as functions.

We recently installed two separate 32 channel security camera surveillance systems in our plant. The factory and yard area cover a significant amount of territory and installing a total of 64 cameras isn't done in just a day. Furthermore, I'd hate to think how long it would have taken to do the job if we had had to run back and forth from camera to DVR and monitor to set up each camera. This Security Camera King CCTV LCD tester saved us a tremendous amount of time and effort on the install. Now that the system is installed, we'll save it and use it in the future if we do additional installs or have any troubleshooting to run.

If you are a professional CCTV installer you can't do without this tester. It saves time and footsteps and holds its charge pretty well. If you're not a professional but you intend to install a multi camera system (i.e. 32 or 16) you may want to consider this to save you the hassle of running back and forth. Once you're finished if you think you'll never need it again, you can always resell it. This tester is pretty rugged too. I've dropped twice already and it still works fine.

I am an independent contractor that installs a variety of security systems from alarms to cameras. If you install security camera systems on a regular basis this is a necessary piece of equipment for you to do so accurately and efficiently. The LCD provides a quality picture of what the camera sees and allows you to access the on screen display to control the camera. I also like the fact that I can test out any PTZs with this tester. I use rechargeable batteries and get at least 4 1/2 to 5 hours run time with them.
