Complete 32 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package
Review by Charlie Gabbard on Jun 24, 2014
I recently purchased this 32 channel Ultimate package from Security Camera King for use at our facility. The following is a detailed account of the order and review of the product:

Ordering: It was easy to place the order. All I had to do was determine the total storage we needed and select the option in the drop down menu on the product page. Next I selected the DVD burner option the same way by choosing it on the drop down menu that is directly below the "Storage" menu in the box labeled "Options." Note that Security Camera King installed the internal hard drives and the DVD burner for free. The DVR arrived with the appropriate number of internal hard disk drives and the DVD burner ready to go. Next I just clicked "Add To Cart" and followed the steps to place my order using our company credit card.

Shipping: I was shocked when our order arrived in just three days time after placing it on line. Thirty two cameras is a lot of cameras and I figured that by the time Security Camera King had packed everything and finally shipped it we would receive it in about two weeks. I never expected to see it here in three days! Everything was packed nicely, the boxes used were sturdy, standard cardboard, and all of the equipment was in perfect shape.

Installation: Installation wasn't too difficult. There is nothing complex about installing this system yourself. That doesn't mean there isn't a ample amount of work involved, it just isn't complicated. The cables have to be run and attached to the wall ort objects for a nice, neat job. Thee is nothing in the package to attach the cables to walls and other structured so I had to make a trip to the hardware store for some cable fasteners and some tie wraps. The plug and play cables are actually rather thin but the BNC connector at the end is much bigger. So if you need to drill any holes in walls or ceilings to route the cable through them they will need to be large enough for the BNC plug to pass through. The power plug is smaller than the BNC plug so as long as the hole you make is big enough for BNC connector, the power ;plug will pass through it. Mounting the cameras is easy as long as you have a wall or ceiling to mount them to. Simply attach the camera mounts using the included screws. If you need to attach the camera to irregularly shaped structures you will need to make your own "adapter" mount. For example we had some poles and "I" beams that we wanted to attach the camera to so I created adapters with blocks of wood the size of the camera mount and then attached the blocks to the structures using tie wraps or adjustable metal worm drive clamps. Since all you have to adjust when mounting the cameras is their aim, you can get by with just using your smartphone or tablet as the monitor. If you don't have one of those, I suggest you purchase one of Security Camera King's cheaper wrist monitors for installation. If not you will soon get tired of trying to run back and forth to aim your cameras. Speaking of the DVR, all you have to do is plug it in and attach any cables/wires. Finally, you have to mount the power supply boxes and attach the power leads. To make things easy, I mounted our power supplies right next to where we keep our DVR.

Performance: The 800TVL resolution cameras produce a very nice video picture. The videos are clear, sharp, and color correct (no adjustments were necessary). The DVR records all 32 cameras simultaneously at D1 resolution for playback at 30 frames per second ("Realtime") and does so without dropping any frames. We experience no noise or interference on any of our channels. The On Screen Display of the DVR is pretty intuitive and easy to operate. It will take some time to learn where various setting that you need are located but other than that it makes using the DVR rather easy. (I should note the manual that comes with the DVR is ok, but not very informative.) There is an incredible amount of additional features and options that you can choose to adjust or add on to your system. If you have any problems with installation or configuring your system you can call their technical support people like I did and they will be more than happy to assist you.

My overall rating for this products is five stars. The ordering was easy, the shipping was fast, the product performs very well, and Security Camera King offers great technical support.

Well this IP network package system certainly isn't lacking when it comes to the equipment needed or the quality of the equipment included in the package. If you are looking for 32 camera coverage at megapixel quality this is about the best you'll get unless you try bumping up to the Duhua 128 channel NVR which I'm not even sure they make anymore. You are not getting anything fancy with these cameras but you are getting 32 1.3 megapixel cameras. When I say nothing fancy I mean like a varifocal lens, extensive OSD options or long range infrared. However, the video footage produced by these cameras is very good in quality. It is high definition resolution with a crisp, colorful image. The NVR is the real star of this package because it has a capacity for recording 32 cameras at 720p resolution at 15 frames per second simultaneously. It has a dual core but even for that, it is one heck of a load. Not to mention the fact that we are very impressed with the other features of the recorder as well. The POE switches (and cables) complete the set and allow for power to be sent over the CAT5 Ethernet. I had some issues getting everything configured and set up correctly so I gave Security Camera King a call fearing the worst from their technical support department (I was waiting for something like why would someone that's never installed a video security system try to install a 32 camera IP network system?). But that was totally unwarranted. Their tech support guys help me get everything, and I mean everything set up configured and working!

I’m sure there probably aren’t too many people rushing out to Security Camera King to purchase $8500 32 camera network systems, but I will say that if you need it, this is the one to have. Performance is superior for both the cameras and the NVR. The cameras capture a clear, high resolution color video and the same for its black and white recordings in infrared mode. If you have the time and resources to install this system yourself, you’ll probably save about $15,000 as well! It must be the dual core processor that makes the NVR run so efficiently because I know my computer could never handle the work load of recording 32 megapixel cameras at once. No longer is there an excuse for any business not to have a high definition security video recording to back up or document potential or active improper actions. I am very please with this system, and wor the price I think the quality of the products is simply amazing.
