Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Mini DVR Security Camera System

I'm one of those do it yourself guys, so I'll admit up front that I am not a security camera expert. In my area, I don't have a lot of choices for shopping for security camera systems besides Lowes or Walmart. I didn't care for what I saw at either, although if I had to choose between those two I would have probably gone with the four camera Samsung system from Walmart. So I decided to resort to on-line shopping. I checked several different sites out and I quickly learned, with all do respect to the security camera industry, that security camera systems today are analogous to the common transistor radio of yesteryear. That is, most of the products all seem to be made in Asia, for the most part anything that isn't electronic is usually made out of plastic, and their instruction manuals literally suck because of the bad translation that is used to convert them to English (Engrish). At any rate, after a lot of deliberation I settled on Security Camera King and their Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Mini DVR Security Camera System. I ordered it on line on a Sunday and received that following week. Everything was packaged well and was in good order. The components didn't outwardly appear much different to me in make up than what I was in stores although I must admit they did seem to have a bit better design. For example, after the dome cameras are mounted they have pretty good integrity with the mounting screws completely hidden from view. Externally, the DVR didn't appear much different from the others I had seen either. However, as far as the operation of the mechanics or electronics is concerned I didn't notice a few differences. Security Camera King's Ultimate DVR comes with a 3 full 3 year warranty. Most other brands are 1 year and on some on-line sites you can get 2 or 3 year warranties but you have to pay extra for them. The Security Camera King brand has alarm and audio input and output options while some of the others didn't and it also had more display options. The recording and monitor video displays on the Security Camera King system are very good. The resolution is pretty good and the pictures are clear and color correct. Finally, there was one other huge difference with Security Camera King that I didn't really get the chance to see or experience from the others. That is there support department. They spoke English (not Engrish) and they were very knowledgeable about installations and the products (I think they must be installers themselves) and were very patient and helpful. If every product had a technical support department as good as Security Camera King's, I'm sure there would be a lot less disgruntled customers.

I run a tire and vehicle repair service here in town and recently decided that with the up rise of vandalism and theft that I would install my own security camera system. I'm lucky because the way my shop is laid out, I can get away with full coverage that I need using a total of only two cameras. I have one at the front counter that covers the register area, one that covers the shop area in back (especially at night) and two outdoors (which were my main concern) to cover any cars that I may have to keep overnight that I can't fit inside my shop. My property has a chain linked fence with locking gates where I store my customers cars, but that didn't seem like good enough protection for me. If something unfortunate should happen, not only do I want to identify the perpetrator, but I'd like to be able to show the affected customer so they at least have faith that I do my best to take care of their property. The Security Camera King Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Mini DVR Security Camera System seems to be the perfect fit for me. I like this D1 resolution because it is large and clear and shows some pretty fine detail with the 700 TVL resolution cameras (I upgraded from the 600 to the 700 TVL resolution dome cameras). Installation wasn't too difficult. In fact, running the cables was probably the most difficult part of it. The cameras work great and I have two mounted on my outdoor eaves, one indoors on the ceiling, and another on the wall. I really don't have any need for sound or a lot of other fancy options so this system is just about right. I do have an HDMI monitor in my office where I keep the DVR right next to my business computer and I also have run a VGA connection outside to the counter. Truthfully, monitoring is hardly a concern; it's recording something that could happen when we are closed in the evening. I had a little difficulty with hooking the system up to the Internet, or rather with getting the apps on my smart phone and home computer so I could use the remote access features, but Security Camera King's technical support guys helped me with those things and we got it taken care of pretty quickly. Cars I know; data bits or whatever it's called I don't. But I can say that the support department was very willing to help and knew their systems very well so they could advise me about what to do without even looking anything up. I'm happy with my system and have recommended it twice already to my parts supplier and the business next door to me.

I the owner and operator of a small downtown newsstand/convenience store. There's been a lot of robberies going on throughout the city lately, especially in my section of town. So I decided it was time to get a security camera system. I decided to get one for a couple of reasons. I figured that having one might be a deterrent to shoplifting and potential robberies, and in the event of one I'll have it documented by the cameras. I upgraded my system with a 1 Terabyte hard drive and the 600 TVL 2.8 - 12 mm Indoor/Outdoor Domes cameras. When I first saw the listed price of the system I thought that it was a great deal but when I finished upgrading with what I thought I needed it was almost $800.00. Not really what I was expecting to spend, but after some thought I purchased the system anyway. The largest savings with this system is the fact that you made it so I could install it myself, saving me the cost of installation. Although I am not real familiar with different security camera systems, I did see many more for a lot cheaper price. However, a friend of mine that does know the security camera systems well ensures me that I have the best quality, low fail equipment. I am pleased with its performance thus far. I have hidden the DVR in the store so no one knows where it is at but me incase someone tries to rob the store and get the DVR. I have also posted signs inside and out that the store is protected by a "remote" security system. (No lie there, I use the Internet remote access feature). I'll try to come back in about a year after I have had this system and if it is still working like it is today, I will bump my rating up to five stars.

When you want an economical 4 channel security package but still need the larger resolution recording display at a real-time rate, this is exactly the package that can do it. Security Camera King's PACK-ULTIMATE-4MINI is a great package and it performs well too. I must admit, it didn't take long to install the security camera package, set it up, and get running. The 600TVL color cameras capture a high quality color video picture with their wide view 3.6 mm fixed lenses. And the best thing about it is that you can record D1 resolution on all four channels simultaneously at 30 frames per second! The HDMI video out put offers you monitoring displays at 1080p and it also has a VGA and BNC connection for a total of three simultaneous monitors. I've done some comparison shopping and I haven't really been able to find anything comparable. Anything that comes close usually gets blown away by Security Camera King's 3 year warranty on the DVR. Although this Ultimate Mini hasn't got enough room for a DVD burner you can use an external USB DVD burner or an external USB drive to copy the files to or simply a USB thumb drive. If you need one, you can always burn a DVD on your computer. There is plenty of internal hard drive storage capacity if you need it too. About the only thing that Security Camera King could do to make this package better is to create one that installs itself!

I am a do-it-yourselfer (DIY) not a CCTV professional. I purchased my 4 channel Ultimate Mini System on line from Security Camera King. I had no problems with ordering, that was simple, and the checkout process was easy (I was surprised at all the various payment options: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Pay with Amazon, Buy with Google, and Paypal!). I ordered the 500 GB hard drive that Security Camera Installed for me. I got free UPS ground shipping because my order was over $500 total. I received my package 3 days after I placed my order. Everything was intact and in perfect condition. All I had to do was purchase an HDMI video cable for connecting the DVR to my LCD TV and the cable and wire holders that I would use to hold them in place. (The DVR includes a USB mouse and a remote control for operations).
I did a lot of shopping before I settled on Security Camera King and I must say that you need to check these systems out closely to be certain they have what you are looking for. One significant difference that I noticed with Security Camera King compared to many other vendors is that Security Camera King will provide downloadable PDF formats of specs AND operating manuals so you can really dig and make sure you'll know how each feature works before you purchase the system. Many other sites just listed a few bulleted specs and didn't really tell you details about their systems. Also, I noticed that there was usually at least one difference when I compared them, so make sure you look carefully. For example, other vendors offered much cheaper packages but the cameras were 420 TVL or the cables were only 60 feet long and so on. All in all I am very satisfied with my Security Camera King product. I would rate this at about 4.5 stars but since there isn't any midway rating between the two I will go with four. My biggest reason for not going with a full 5 star rating is because even though this system is loaded with features and exhibits good quality, I think the price could be a tad cheaper.
I gave myself a Christmas present this year, Security Camera King's Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Mini DVR Security Camera System. I just recently installed it and I really like it. I have a small Cape Cod home and I use it for security and surveillance around the perimeter of the house. The 600 TVL cameras were easy to mount. It was also easy to adjust them once they were in place. My cameras are all mounted under my eaves so I was able to neatly attack the plug and play cables under the eaves as well using some clips that I bought at my local hardware store. After receiving the package and taking a good look at the DVR and manual I also decided to get some alarm triggers and hooked up the alarm on the DVR as well. The DVR has a nice feature for homeowners, the HDMI output. Using this video output method I can tap into my LCD TV and use it as a monitor. I don't record any audio but if I did I could here it through my TV too. I have the cameras and DVR set using motion detection triggering for recording and it works quite well. I get a lot of storage out of my hard drive this way. If I go away for an extended period I can use my Android to access my unit via the Internet. Very smart!
We purchased the Security Camera King Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Min DVR Security Camera System over a year and a half ago and it is still going strong! I use the four cameras for monitoring the outside of my home and property. When I first bought the system, I thought I would most likely use it mostly as a recording device to capture events when I wasn't home. But I have to admit that the smartphone applications have become somewhat addictive and now, more often than not, I use the system as a real time monitor with my iPhone. Specifically, the 600 TVL infrared cameras do an excellent job of capturing color video during the day and black and white video at night. The cameras were easy to install; all I had to do was mount them and aim them. The plug and play cables were easy to handle too. I didn't have to worry about attaching connectors as they are already there. I used some tie wraps and some small cable clamps to attach the wires to the house. The power supply works fine and is small and basically unnoticeable. The Ultimate DVR works great! I use all four channels of alarm inputs for our doors but do not use any audio. I have my big screen television connected to the DVR with an HDMI cable and I use the TV as my monitor. I haven't had any need for the other options outputs. Programming the DVR at first was a little challenging since I am not a professional installer but I contacted your support department and they helped me get up and running right away. The On Screen Display menu is easy to make adjustments to settings with, it just takes a bit of time to learn the screens. Overall, this has been a great system. I've never had any problems with the cameras or DVRs in the past year and a half and I am very satisfied.

I run a small "downtown" business and I wanted to install a security camera system primarily for the exterior of the store to cover the front and back of the store as well as the parking area. I did this because of a recent (bogus) liability claim from a "potential" customer that slipped and fell. I decided that from now on, I would have 24/7 video coverage of exactly what occurs so I wouldn't have to rely on just witness testimony anymore which I found out can be terribly subjective. The Security Camera King Complete 4 Channel Ultimate Mini DVR Security Camera System gives me everything I need to do the job. The 600 TVL infrared vandal dome cameras were very easy to install and combined with the D1 recording resolution of the DVR I really can't miss a thing! I even used the alarm inputs to set up an alarm system for the store. The DVR has several video output options but I only use one, the HDMI output. I use it to hook up to an LCD TV/Monitor I purchased at a local department store. The DVR is controlled with a USB mouse (or an infrared remote control like the kind a DVD player would have) and I surprised to find that Security Camera King includes both with the DVR. Finally, I connected my DVR to my store's Internet service (that was a piece of cake since I offer free WiFi) and now I can monitor the store when I am away. As a person new to security camera systems and as a self installer of this one, I can say that this does an excellent job and that just about anyone could install a system themselves.
This package system provides a full size Ultimate display of 704 X 480 pixels at 30 frames per second for each channel simultaneously, but it doesn't cost a lot of money to purchase. It has alarm inputs and even can record four channels of audio. The only thing it doesn't have is a DVD burner and a lot of internal space for additional internal hard drives. You can still max the hard disk drive out at up to 6 terabytes though. Also, you can use HDMI, VGA, or BNC video output options (there are no loop outs on this model). The HDMI connection is especially convenient for using a standard LCD TV as the monitor. Most LCD TV's these days have more than one input type and option so you can save money if you use this at home by using your standard TV as the monitor. If you use this for your business you can benefit by using the HDMI if you have or want a new LCD monitor with sound or you can use the VGA connection (with no sound) or if you have an older system monitor with just a BNC connector you can use it too. Make sure you have a broadband Internet connection nearby because you'll want to take advantage of the Security Camera King remote access apps and feature of the DVR. You can monitor your system on a Smartphone or an iPad from just about anywhere in the world that your device can get Internet service, or if you choose, you can also use a computer for remote access. The DVR can be programmed to send you e-mail alerts on event triggers as well. The DVR comes with a USB mouse and an infrared remote control for controlling the DVR.
