Our Elite Series DVR features embedded Linux OS, remote monitoring from anywhere in the world, audio recording on all channels and H.264 compression. This is NOT a PC based DVR which is subject to viruses and hacking. This is a standalone unit built for only one purpose - the best quality video surveillance in the world.
The Elite Series DVR is the state-of-the-art in digital surveillance technology. This DVR features professional grade components and is manufactured to industrial standards. Its advanced functionality makes this one of the best standalone systems on the market today.
This unit is all about versatility. With HDMI, VGA and BNC Video outputs, you can operate several different monitors simultaneously. And, with the included Matrix output, you can also run a separate monitor that can be programmed to display a completely different series of cameras! Need to output a single camera to its own monitor? This is not a problem with our built-in loop connectors. Every channel has its own BNC output that can be used to provide video to a monitor, a multiplexer, or anywhere you need it!
The Elite Series utilizes H.264 hardware compression to bring you great quality video while maximizing your hard disk storage capacity. This DVR is capable of recording CIF resolution on all channels at 30fps and D1 resolution on all channels at 7fps simultaneously.
The Elite Series DVR is amazingly simple to setup and operate. An intuitive mouse-driven interface provides very simple point-and-click control over all functions and settings. In addition, the unit also includes an IR remote control. The jog shuttle control can be used to easily fast forward, rewind, and advance frame by frame. Up to 8 channels can be played back at the same time at the DVR, and 4 channels can be played back via the web interface or client software.
The built-in Web server allows you to perform most every function of the DVR remotely with Internet Explorer. Client software is also included to allow you to centrally monitor multiple Elite Series units simultaneously. Two-way audio over the network or Internet is also standard on the Elite Series. So, not only can you hear what is going on, you can interact. This DVR supports up to 10 simultaneous network or Internet users. With Dynamic DNS support, it is not necessary to have a static IP address on your network in order to remotely access this DVR. This saves you money, as most ISPs charge extra for a static IP address.
Having the ability to remotely view your system is great, but what if you are on the road and just can't monitor your system all the time. This is no problem with the Elite Series DVRs highly flexible email capability. Just set up a standard POP email account and have the system email you anywhere based on any criteria you choose. Many of our customers have emails sent to their cell phone for real time alerts. You choose email triggers that you want, and the DVR does the rest.
Storage capacity will never be a problem with the Elite Series DVR. Up to 4 SATA hard disk drives can be installed if no burner is mounted, and up to 3 SATA drives can be installed if you choose to use the DVD-RW drive. In addition, the DVR supports eSATA to allow you to use removable external eSATA drives to store your footage. RAID hard disk management keeps your data safe from hard drive failures, while FTP backup and recording functionality ensures your video is safe even if the DVR is destroyed.
Video can be backed up to a DVD-RW or a USB thumb drive for safe keeping or in the event that you must give the footage to the police. Video can also be saved right on your PC for easy access.
The easy 3D mouse operated PTZ control allows you to control any PTZ camera. Just click on the screen and drag your mouse around. The PTZ camera follows the mouse pointer so you can smoothly and accurately follow any objects of interest.
This system runs on a rock solid Linux embedded OS, with embedded web server, and digital signal processors to bring you the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. This high end system will provide you with everything you need other than a monitor. If you tie the system into your network, you wont even need a monitor to view your DVR.
The Elite Series DVR comes with an industry leading FULL 3 YEAR WARRANTY !!
And don't forget that we provide support for every step of your installation project.
***Please note: In most cases we will be able to remotely assist you in the configuration of your computer network for remote DVR viewing. However, we cannot be responsible for complex network configuration or the performance of your internet connection.***

Complete 8 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package
Review by Martin Meeder on Apr 30, 2013
I operate a large retail and convenience store in a major tourist location. We get over a hundred customers a day and it can really be difficult to keep track of merchandise thefts. I installed Security Camera Kings 8 channel Ultimate system myself and it has been really beneficial to preventing shop lifting occurrences and when they do occur we have the video documentation to back up any claim we may pursue. We are open late at night and I believe the security camera system has also helped to prevent unwieldy occurrences then too. Quite often the local police will visit our shop knowing that we record all of our cameras to see if we have any footage of a potential suspect. With D1 resolution at 30 frames per second recording on every channel at once, there's not much that our system misses. In addition to the video security, I have also installed an alarm system that is connected to the DVR as well. I also purchased microphones and we record audio at all our check out counters too. The DVR is kept in the main office in a Security Camera King lockbox and mounted securely to the building structure in the event someone would try to take it or somehow tamper with it as well. We run an HDMI cable out of the DVR/lockbox to a standing large monitor with speakers and control the DVR with the included USB mouse. In addition I have connected our broadband Internet to the DVR so I can remotely monitor the system anytime I want from just about anywhere that has Internet service. This is the "Ultimate" 8 camera package system alright and I would highly recommend it to anyone that would require a dependable, high quality, 8 channel (or potential for 8 channels) system.\

If you are looking for a Complete 8 camera and DVR system that can record in D1 resolution at 30 frames per second and has all the bells and whistles (in this case sound, video, and alarm hookups) this package system will certainly do the job. I installed this system myself and saved a ton of money. Installation was fairly easy, especially if you can get away with using the 100 ft Easy Plug and Play cables (no connectors to twist or crimp on). I had to make a change to a couple of my cameras but that was easy. The DVR records a nice quality video and the On Screen Display (OSD) menu offers many additional features that allow you to tailor your security system to your particular needs. I needed a little help with setting my system up. Since I ordered my system on line and didn't speak with anyone, I was a little hesitant to call Security Camera King's support service. I had visions of their support staff being like my Internet provider's technical support department which is disastrous. However, I'm happy to say it was nothing like that. Their support staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. They didn't have the "stock" answers that you get from a lot of technical support people, they specifically addressed my issues and did a good job.

If you are looking for a system that can record in D1 resolution at 30 frames per second, this could be the one for you. It does exactly what the description and the specifications say it does, nothing more or nothing less. If you asked me to review and rate Security Camera King's support staff, there would be no doubt a rating of five stars from me. They helped me with this unit and I think they went above and beyond what a typical technical support team would do. However, to get back to the video security system, the cameras are pretty good at 600 TVL resolution but this is what I would call a "professional" series system and I would think that that would either included 700 TVL cameras or varifocal lens cameras without charging and extra price. At any rate, these "automatic" 600 TVL are sufficient, but they all have a 3.6 mm wide angle lens. As far as the DVR is concerned, it doesn't just record video. That's where I think the real justification for the price comes in. This DVR is professional all the way with audio inputs, alarm inputs and outputs (12 VDC on output devices), multiple and simultaneous monitor display options, and even the ability to kick the resolution down to CIF if you want or need to. The Graphical User Interface or GUI or the On Screen Display or OSD, whichever term you prefer to use, is pretty intuitive and easy to operate. It takes a little while to get used to it, but it's nothing more complicated than getting a new piece of software for your computer. The Internet remote functions work without a hitch and are very convenient. We also purchased our DVR with a DVD burner and it works well. The one thing I noticed that seems different with this system than most others I compared it to before purchasing it was the 3 year warranty on the DVR. Most other dealers had a 1 year warranty or would charge extra for longer than that.

I love this Security Camera King Ultimate 8 Channel security system! I own a 4,500 sq. foot house on several acres of property and I have recently retried. The house has become too large for us now that we are in retirement and that includes keeping an eye on things outside. I decided it was time to install a security camera system to provide us with added protection and figure that this will also increase the value of the house. (We hope to sell within the next couple of years.) I purchased the system with a 2 Terrabyte hard drive, the DVD burner installed, and upgraded all 8 cameras to the 700 TVL Indoor/Outdoor 2.8 - 12 mm domes. I also purchased a couple of illuminators to extend the night time range of the cameras that cover our entrance. The cameras work great, were easy to mount and set up too. (I installed the system myself since I have plenty of time. I have to admit I kind of enjoyed the process.) I even decided to mount a microphone with the camera at the front door. The D1 resolution is large enough to make it easy to identify people, cars, delivery people and so forth. You don't really think much about it until you look at the sizes side by side, but the D1 resolution display is far larger than the smaller CIF. The DVR records and displays high quality vibrant color video pictures and has all kinds of features that you can use to either supplement or improve your security and surveillance experience. We do travel across the country quite a bit now to visit with our children and grand children and I have both mine an my wife's iPhone set up to be able to monitor the system remotely. (Gives you something to do while waiting for planes to board in an airport.) I also have the e-mail notification function on so if something should "pop up" while we are away I'll be alerted right away. Thanks much to your support staff for helping me out during the installation and set up of my system. They were very cordial and knowledgeable and very eager to help. Don't worry, if anyone asks I'll make sure I tell them that I got my system from Security Camera King.com!
I actually purchased this security camera system for my 64 foot Voyager. My son installed the system for me and it works absolutely great! We've permanently mounted the DVR and the monitor in the Fly bridge for easy access, but with some control to who has access to it. My kids often bring their friends over to use the yacht and I trust them completely, but it's nice to have the system aboard in case an event should occur that would otherwise indicate a liability on my behalf. As they say "seeing is believing." When were are docked the system make for an excellent protection system when we are way from the boat and I have connected the DVR to the ships mobile WiFi system so that we can monitor the system when we are away, on land. I did upgrade the cameras to the 700 TVL varifocal lens cameras because we use motion detection and alarm function on the DVR and if the shot is too wide, it will pick up moving water which can cause a false trip for the motion detection function. The 700 TVL varifocal cameras allow us to tighten the shot down to just exactly where we want it. We do have cameras inside and we do not have that situation with them. When we are in port I can transfer the ships generated power usage over to dockside provided source and that continues to power the unit and cameras. We also have a monitor in the master bedroom. My son is a pretty crafty electrician and by using external relays and such, was able to set up quite an alarm and notification system with this unit as well. I bought the DVD burner just in case we ever need to make a copy, we don't really have an on board personal computer as we often use our laptops but we may not always have them with us either. Excellent protection device that we can use whether we are home or abroad!

If you want high resolution video recordings, than this is the way to go. This system will record at D1 resolution on all eight channels at the same time at 30 frames per second each. And if you really want to enhance that upgrade the cameras to the 700 TVL varifocal cameras like I did. Installation was easy for me; just a matter of screwing down the camera mounts and running the cables. The varifocal cameras work like a charm especially at 700 TVL but I'm not sure that I am totally satisfied with the $410.40 increase in price. Especially since I ordered the 8 TB drive and DVD burner with the whole system costing $2521.77. A business probably wouldn't think twice about the price but if you use it for your home that is a bit pricey. However, in all fairness to Security Camera King the quality is fantastic. Other than a cheaper price, I'm not sure there is anything more you could expect from an 8 channel system. We use several of the audio input channels with our cameras and they work well. When I originally installed the system I had no plans for using the alarm functions, but now that it is up and running I am in the process of getting some sensors and other accessories to go ahead and take advantage of that. I use the HDMI video output. Theoretically you can use three monitors at once, a BNC, an HDMI, and a VGA. However, if you did use three monitors I would suspect they may be located in different rooms or even farther away from the DVR and I'm not sure about signal degradation for these video outputs. I read one review where a gentleman bought another brand system and bugs and rain affected the motion detection system giving him almost 100 e-mail notifications overnight. I have no problem with that here. The On Screen Display of the DVR is pretty easy to use, if not you'll soon get used to it after a fairly short amount of time invested. All of the Internet options are great (check the manual or the specs for all the features). Finally, although this may seem minor, I like the two USB ports on the front of the unit so if you are using the USB mouse and some other USB device, you don't have to try to twist the DVR around or reach in back to access another port (although there is a third one back there if you need it.)
The Complete 8 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package Is An Excellent Package!

I recently bought the above Security Camera King 8 channel Ultimate package deal and I am writing this review to tell you how impressed I am with it. My son installed the system in my store for me and it is working great! I really like the large recording resolution of 704 X 480 pixels. (It comes in handy for an old guy like me who has to put his darn reading glasses on for anything on a monitor.) I don't bother with a "smartphone" for that exact same reason, but if I did, I would check it on that. Instead, I "pop in" on the system from time to time from my home computer. Good product!
I purchased the Security Camera King Complete 8 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package for my bail bonding business, located in a major metropolitan area, not too far from the courthouse. Needless to say, self protection and security is tantamount in my line of work. My building is actually relatively small but it surrounded by a parking lot and I like to keep track of approaching customers as well as protect my property. I have two desks and offices so therefore I have two varifocal dome cameras that are focused directly in this area with the shot zoomed and tightened to easily identify the individual(s) on the other side of the desk. The D1 resolution with audio works extremely well for this purpose. I am able to document many things if needed. I skipped the DVD burner on my unit and packed it with all the internal hard disk drive storage it could hold because keeping these records are vital for my business. I've never had any problems with the DVR or the cameras. I haven't had to reboot the DVR nor have I had any crashes (unlike the old video tape recorders, DVRs are more like specialized computers and they can freeze up, crash, and require rebooting). I've gotten great service from the Security Camera King/TechPro Support team and they have been very helpful. I'll be back for more items again.

Very good package system. I installed this in my store and it works great. Now I feel much better about having some security coverage that record events. The recordings are nice and large at D1 resolution and the 600 TVL cameras go a good job of creating high quality visible videos. The DVR has lot's of room for internal storage so you can run D1 continuously on all cameras if you want and you can increase that capacity even more by using eSATA drives. I also like the fact that the DVR has a full 3 year warranty!
The 8 Channel Ultimate System is One Heck of a Package!

I purchased Security Camera King's complete 8 channel DVR Ultimate security camera package this past summer at I have loved it from the point I installed it. Installation is pretty easy and if your physically able and have the tools it doesn't really require a professional to install it. The Ultimate DVR records a resolution of D1 (that's 704 X 480 pixels) in real time (that's 30 frames per second) for each of the eight cameras simultaneously. My personal opinion is that if you've already gone the distance to choose this particular system with the DVR recording in D1, it is worth the extra money to upgrade the cameras to the 700 TVL on screed display vandal cameras. They have a 3.6 mm overview lens so if you need something tighter you may want to think about going with the 600 TVL or 700 TVL varifocal lens cameras. In addition to video, the DVR will also record audio (you'll need to purchase microphones for this) and it can be used as a control board center for an alarm system. The DVR must have been designed with convenience and quality in mind because there are several video display options including HDMI, VGA, and BNC. I prefer the HDMI because I record audio on two channels; with the HDMI connection I can see the video and listen to the audio on my LCD monitor at the same time. The DVR records with ease, I've never had to reboot nor have I ever had any crashes since my purchase. The quality is outstanding the features are numerous and the price is reasonable. Like I said above, this is one heck of a package!
