Our Elite Series DVR features embedded Linux OS, remote monitoring from anywhere in the world, audio recording on all channels and H.264 compression. This is NOT a PC based DVR which is subject to viruses and hacking. This is a standalone unit built for only one purpose - the best quality video surveillance in the world.
The Elite Series DVR is the state-of-the-art in digital surveillance technology. This DVR features professional grade components and is manufactured to industrial standards. Its advanced functionality makes this one of the best standalone systems on the market today.
This unit is all about versatility. With HDMI, VGA and BNC Video outputs, you can operate several different monitors simultaneously. And, with the included Matrix output, you can also run a separate monitor that can be programmed to display a completely different series of cameras! Need to output a single camera to its own monitor? This is not a problem with our built-in loop connectors. Every channel has its own BNC output that can be used to provide video to a monitor, a multiplexer, or anywhere you need it!
The Elite Series utilizes H.264 hardware compression to bring you great quality video while maximizing your hard disk storage capacity. This DVR is capable of recording CIF resolution on all channels at 30fps and D1 resolution on all channels at 7fps simultaneously.
The Elite Series DVR is amazingly simple to setup and operate. An intuitive mouse-driven interface provides very simple point-and-click control over all functions and settings. In addition, the unit also includes an IR remote control. The jog shuttle control can be used to easily fast forward, rewind, and advance frame by frame. Up to 8 channels can be played back at the same time at the DVR, and 4 channels can be played back via the web interface or client software.
The built-in Web server allows you to perform most every function of the DVR remotely with Internet Explorer. Client software is also included to allow you to centrally monitor multiple Elite Series units simultaneously. Two-way audio over the network or Internet is also standard on the Elite Series. So, not only can you hear what is going on, you can interact. This DVR supports up to 10 simultaneous network or Internet users. With Dynamic DNS support, it is not necessary to have a static IP address on your network in order to remotely access this DVR. This saves you money, as most ISPs charge extra for a static IP address.
Having the ability to remotely view your system is great, but what if you are on the road and just can't monitor your system all the time. This is no problem with the Elite Series DVRs highly flexible email capability. Just set up a standard POP email account and have the system email you anywhere based on any criteria you choose. Many of our customers have emails sent to their cell phone for real time alerts. You choose email triggers that you want, and the DVR does the rest.
Storage capacity will never be a problem with the Elite Series DVR. Up to 4 SATA hard disk drives can be installed if no burner is mounted, and up to 3 SATA drives can be installed if you choose to use the DVD-RW drive. In addition, the DVR supports eSATA to allow you to use removable external eSATA drives to store your footage. RAID hard disk management keeps your data safe from hard drive failures, while FTP backup and recording functionality ensures your video is safe even if the DVR is destroyed.
Video can be backed up to a DVD-RW or a USB thumb drive for safe keeping or in the event that you must give the footage to the police. Video can also be saved right on your PC for easy access.
The easy 3D mouse operated PTZ control allows you to control any PTZ camera. Just click on the screen and drag your mouse around. The PTZ camera follows the mouse pointer so you can smoothly and accurately follow any objects of interest.
This system runs on a rock solid Linux embedded OS, with embedded web server, and digital signal processors to bring you the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. This high end system will provide you with everything you need other than a monitor. If you tie the system into your network, you wont even need a monitor to view your DVR.
The Elite Series DVR comes with an industry leading FULL 3 YEAR WARRANTY !!
And don't forget that we provide support for every step of your installation project.
***Please note: In most cases we will be able to remotely assist you in the configuration of your computer network for remote DVR viewing. However, we cannot be responsible for complex network configuration or the performance of your internet connection.***

Complete 8 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package

I needed more than four cameras to cover the front, back and inside of my place but I didn't want to pay a lot of money, especially for installation or for electronic items I didn't really need. This package system fit all my requirements nicely and at a reasonable price. Not only that, but after purchasing the unit and calling Security Camera King for help, I found out that they have excellent follow up support staff that are willing to take the time to help you with just about anything related to the security camera system from installation to set up to continued operation! I actually installed this system myself and it wasn't very difficult at all. I ran the cables at night after closing so I would not have to disturb my customers by moving ceiling panels or drilling exit holes for the cables. We have the DVR connected full time to a VGA monitor so we can monitor the cameras and record them. The system gives me a little better feeling of security especially for employees that enter/exit through the back entrance when they arrive for work or make runs to our dumpster area. The system works very good and CIF display per camera is good enough for our use. I don't anticipate the need to make many copies so I don't really need a DVD burner and if an event should occur where I will need to provide the authorities with a copy I can use the USB flash drive to copy the files and burn the DVD on my computer. I love the remote access via my Droid or my home personal computer! This is a nicely priced, good quality economy system.

I purchased this system from Security Camera King about 4 months ago for my business. Installed it myself and I am definitely satisfied with the way the system works. I'm probably a little unique compared to many of Security Camera King's customers for this 8 Channel Elite System because I use all the available audio inputs and outputs, alarm inputs and outputs, and two different monitor displays. (I have to admit the back of my DVR looks like a rats nest with all those wires coming out of it, but I've tried to keep everything as neat as possible.) With all the connections I have going in and out of my DVR I made self sticking labels and wrapped them on the wires/cables with a short description so I could keep track of everything. My point is however, that with all of this going on, plus all 8 cameras recording at D1 resolution (7 frames per second is a fast enough rate for my application) and using the networking options, the DVR doesn't seem to be bogged down in the slightest. Amazing! I'm impressed. The DVR works well and I have had no reboots or crashes, no missed frames or other quirks. The video recordings are sharp and color true and the cameras work well too. Security Camera King's support department was a great help setting up the DVR both for using it on the Internet and with all the "peripherals" I'm using with it. Can't complain!

If you are satisfied with a CIF resolution recording and display for your cameras and DVR I don't thing you can go wrong with this system. A lot of my commercial customers have been very happy with this package and are satisfied with the CIF resolution. The DVR provides a lot of internal space for a built-in DVD burner or extra internal hard drives for storage or both. I think moist of my customers that go with this system do so because of the extra features as well. Many use the audio input option (up to 8 channels) and most, believe it or not, use the alarm option once I point out to them how it can be utilized. If you have a retail store with an office and you would like to keep the DVR in the office along with a monitor but also provide one by the cash register or counter (bars like to do this too) this is also nice because the DVR can handle multiple simultaneous displays. For example, the office can use the HDMI connection and get audio if used while a VGA connection can be run to the counter for monitoring there as well. There's also options for video matrixing (viewing a certain combination of cameras) and loop outs for spot monitors. Some of my customers have used these options as well. Even though it seems like most brands of DVRs these days come with some sort of Internet integration, this seems to be one of the most popular features of the system. Customers love the ability to access their system remotely from their smartphones (I guess just about everyone has one these days, right?) or the e-mail notification alarm service. I've spoke with Security Camera King's support department a couple of times about some highly technical issues and they have been very helpful and knowledgeable so I can imagine how useful they would be for the non-professional Great group of people from sales to support.

We are very satisfied with this excellent system. Our manufacturing process contains 8 critical control points. Our key motivation in sales is inexcusable excellent quality. We actually use this system for monitoring those control points, which may or may not contain gauges, meters, LED displays, or simply important steps in the manufacturing process. We like to be able to archive our recording of the points so we can offer them to prospective clients as proof that are process is rigid and exact and held to tighter guidelines than that provided for by ISO standards. Not only do we use it for this purpose, but we also consider it as a company "safeguard" that can be used to prove the manufacturing process was not changed or adulterated in any way. Security Camera King's Complete 8 Channel Elite Mini Economy DVR Security Camera Surveillance System serves us very well in that regard. I understand that this may not be the intended function of the system (i.e. non-security) however it does an excellent job and feel that it is a high quality, reliable system. I should mention that for our purpose we have employ the full 12 Terabytes of internal storage and back up the entire system when it is beginning to reach capacity to our own server hard drives. For this reason, we didn't see the need for a DVD burner, especially since we could definitely benefit by the extra internal storage drive space. We did however, upgrade all eight of our cameras to the 700 TVL 2.8 - 12mm Indoor/Outdoor dome cameras so we had the liberty to narrow our shots if needed. Although we currently do not use the audio or alarm options, I believe our engineers are working on a system they believe they could create that may use these features. We also utilize 3 full time displays using the HDMI, VGA, and BNC options but quite regularly we use are smartphones for monitoring. The irony of our situation is that we have never had a security camera surveillance system for the purpose of security, but I believe that is going to change soon too. I will also say the Security Camera King's sales and support staff have been very helpful to us from the point of considering the purchase through the installation and set up and even its current use.

The president of our company decided that we should have a security camera system set up on the business offices area up front. He said that if that works out satisfactorily he will consider another security camera system for the shop and the yard out back. I'm glad he went with this one because I am not real jazzed about the small CIF resolution that it records. Since he bought a separate unit (instead of one 16 channel system per se) he'll have to purchase another system for out back and we can upgrade to the Ultimate system for only about $113 more. That, by the way, is the only reason I rated this system with four stars. I like the bigger resolution and the CIF is a little small. Otherwise, I would have gone with five. We also ordered a hard drive installed and a DVD burner installed but didn't upgrade the cameras. I think with the next system I will try to convince him to upgrade to the varifocal cameras, maybe even the 700 TVLs. Well, since I am the "go to" guy for the building they "got to" me and asked me to install the system. Installing the cameras, running the cables and wire, and connecting everything to the DVR was the easy part for me. As I am not much of a computer buff, things got a little technical for me during the set up of the system. When I finally realized that I might need some help I called Security Camera King's support people. Boy were they a big help! They walked me through the set up menus on the DVR, they went over all my cable connections with me and what everything on the front and back of the DVR meant. We even hooked the system up to our network, connected it to the Internet and set up remote access for the boss. Great bunch of people and some very good products!

I'm a do-it-yourselfer (DIYer) and I decided I wanted to install an alarm system and a security camera system in my home and my neighboring insurance office. Before I talk about the camera system I do want to mention one thing about the alarm system. Although this Security Camera King DVR system comes with a DVR that can accept 16 channels of alarm inputs and 6 channels of alarm outputs, Security Camera King themselves really don't offer much on their website to support this. They do offer a couple of alarm system triggers but they are generally designed for a different systems. So if you need door and/or window sensors or PIRs you probably have to get them elsewhere. That includes any electronic siren/horn mechanisms, lights, or relays to operate other voltage items. That being said, make sure any of your output devices are for 12 VDC. External relays can switch on/off regular voltage house current but the relay switch from the DVR must be 12 VDC.
Now for the cameras and DVR. The cameras are solid, easy to mount and work well. I easily get a 50 foot range at night, outdoors, for infrared mode recording. And, incidentally, the infrared mode is just as sharp as the daytime color mode, the only major difference being that the IR mode is in black and white. I installed my own DVD burner and 3 STAT drives (by the way, Security Camera King will provide you with SATA cables for this purpose). I am an electronics builder by hobby and I build radios, computers, and other things so installation of the drives and burner was easy for me. One thing about the hard drive for DIYers, if you decide to purchase yours separately make sure it meets the minimum RPM and data write/read speeds to function properly. When I took the DVR case apart, I had the opportunity to see how the DVR is actually built, and I was impressed. The circuit board is mounted using plenty of screws in the right places, not the cheap plastic clips they often use in electronic appliances these days that can easily snap or break. Of course the DVR has a built in process cooling fan but unlike many computers even, Security Camera King has installed theirs correctly. The circuit board and processor aren't fixed right to the floor of the case, there is plenty of room underneath the board to allow for ample cooling air flow. This can definitely promote longevity of the electronic components and is a "quality indicating" move on their behalf. The DVR has so many features that I doubt anyone would actually use them all. So along those lines, it would be difficult for me to imagine that it would not have a specific feature that someone is looking for. The electronic features are all set using the OSD and it is controlled in three ways; either by using the buttons on the front of the DVR, the USB mouse, or the remote control. The cameras' video recordings as well as the DVR's displays are incredibly clear, sharp, and color correct. Also, the remote access features using the Internet are so convenient and amazing I couldn't believe it could do all of that at first. I did speak with Security Camera King's support staff, and they are absolutely great too; very cordial, knowledgeable, and willing to help. You get five stars from me.
Complete 8 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package -- Very Nice!

I bought the Security Camera King Complete 8 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package several months ago. I did a lot shopping before I made my purchase and I asked a few friends and neighbors that have security systems what they use. The name "Security Camera King" came up more than once in those conversations. I also read the majority of on-line reviews on Security Camera King's website. After deliberating for several weeks I placed my order with Security Camera King. I received my entire order within just a couple of days. Installed the system myself at my store on a Saturday and I have been up and running ever since without any problems. The 600 TVL cameras work well and so does the DVR. I noticed a lot of the reviews here mention the hardware quality and features but not many say much about the electronic features of the DVR so I thought I would address some of them for the benefit of someone considering a purchase. For example, when you playback video in one window you can select a zone on that play back window and actually activate the partial enlargement function. You can use certain USB EXTERNAL DVD burners. You can operate PTZ cameras through the NETWORK. You can set up for up to 396 detection zones with various sensitivity levels for motions detection and the alarm can activate record, a screen message prompt, or even an external alarm. If there is video loss an external alarm can be activated. External alarms can initiate recording of cameras. You can use up to 6 different levels of image quality (to save on drive storage capacity for example). You can actually black out a camera from monitoring view while the camera still records. There is a screen-lock function to prevent unauthorized user seeing the recording. And you can control the hue, brightness, contrast, saturation, and gain setup for each channel to name a few. So, as you can see there really is a lot to these systems and you'll be amazed at what you can do with them once you have one.
I mean that. The Security Camera King Complete 8 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package has everything I needed to install and use it, with the exception of some cable/wire attachments to hold my cables in place. It doesn't come with a monitor, but I don't use one, I use my smartphone. This unit also is bigger than the "Mini" model so it can hold more internal hard drives for storage and/or a DVD burner for making copies. All of my doors and windows, including the storage and office areas are connected to the alarm inputs on the DVR. These go to an audio speaker siren system and also a central monitoring service. I record audio on the camera at the cash register area. Should the need arise (which other than initially setting up the system) I can disconnect my computer's VGA monitor and use it temporarily on the DVR. Besides the audio and alarm functions one of the biggest differences with this unit as compared to the "Mini" is that it can hold much more internal hard drive space (and it can have a DVD burner). Constant 24/7 recording at CIF resolution at 30 frames per second or D1 at 15 frames per second roughly takes no more than 600 Gigs per week. You can also back up footage with a USB thumb drive or other storage device. There are a lot more features but I think by now I should have convinced you that this system really does have everything I need and it may for you too.

This is a popular system for my residential and commercial customers alike. It's very easy to install and is ready to perform. Cameras are good and upgrade options are reasonable. The DVR is truly outstanding and is easy to set up and install. Both types of customers are "floored" by the ability to access the system remotely via Internet. This is a good buy with top quality components.
This is a great 8 camera package system. Just about everything is included except the installation tools and about the only thing you need there is a screwdriver (preferable electric) and a drill, depending on your situation. I installed this system in my home. Once I received the package I decided to install the DVR next to my LCD television so I could use my TV as a monitor. However, after installing the system, I decided to also take advantage of the alarm functions and set triggers on my doors and windows. I use a siren/speaker system for local alarm and a relay to notify a local full time monitoring company. I realized after I did all this that my DVR sitting next to the TV was vulnerable should someone break in the house, so I ended up moving it to the lockable closet behind the room and running just the HDMI video cable to the TV. I have a USB extension cord that runs through the wall so I can still control the DVR with the USB mouse while looking at the monitor when I have the mouse plugged in. The moral of the story is to think carefully about your installation BEFORE you install it. As for this system, the cameras produce a good, color video especially with a 600 TVL recording resolution. The cameras automatically switch to infrared mode when there isn't enough light and the LEDs do a great job of illuminating the area. I can't say enough about the DVR and I will provide a review under the DVR listing for it. Trust me, it works great!
