Our OB-Thermal Heat Imaging Thermal Security Camera can see where other cameras do not. This camera is ideal for use in areas of complete darkness where other security cameras simply cannot perform. We designed this camera ourselves using FLIR Thermal Imaging technology installed in our custom designed outdoor weatherproof box camera housing. Unlike other security cameras, this camera does not see light. It sees heat. It can detect heat signatures at distances much further than other cameras can see and in environments where other cameras are just not effective. This camera will see clearly in darkness, daylight, fog, in good weather or in bad. It is ideal to use as a motion detector trigger and when combined with our DVRs you can use it to send email notifications when motion is detected or to trigger another camera like a PTZ to swing in to a preset and take a closer look. Since this security camera detects heat, a person or other live being cannot pass without detection. If you use this camera in a marine application, you will be able to clearly see people and objects passing over the water. Other cameras cannot detect motion over water because of the movement of the water that will give false positive motion alerts. This camera will not see the water, only the heat signatures on the water. You will get realtime 30fps video at 320 x 240 resolution. Since we assemble this camera ourselves into a custom modified weatherproof fiberglass housing, there is a 5-7 day lead time before we will ship this camera. Make sure to watch our video to see the camera performing in complete darkness.

Heat Imaging Indoor/Outdoor Thermal Security Camera

This is a very good performing Forward Looking Infrared Radar camera. It does a very good job of detecting heat signatures in a wide range but is sensitive enough to easily detect the presence of humans and other animals. We use this camera as a perimeter alarm camera. It is connected to our DVR which is also connected to our network (and ultimately the Internet). When this camera detects motion created by a body mass, the DVR sends an e-mail to a general account that is monitored by our personnel in charge of security. In addition, our analog PTZ camera is then notified to execute a preset and capture the area on video in color (day) or black and white (night). Granted, this heat imaging can't do much for identification of an individual but that's not what we use it for, the PTZ takes care of that. What it does do is give us an advance warning and also notifies the system for the sake of the PTZ far in advance of someone approaching our property fence perimeter. Due to the nature of our business we must maintain this advance security and the camera does a great job and automating that task.

This is a very good thermal heat imaging camera for a security camera system. The forward looking infrared technology does a good job of detecting heat signatures even those that are not organic. It really works best in tandem with another camera, especially a programmable Pan Tilt Zoom camera. Use the true infrared FLIR camera to detect potential threats, trespassers, etc. as far as motion detection is concerned. When this camera detects a heat signature have it trigger a PTZ camera with a preset or smart imaging to track, follow, and/or zoom in on the cause of the heat signature.

We use this camera as an alert trigger for No Trespassing/Forbidden Areas. It peaks up heat signatures well, including animals, in almost any type of weather. Very good operation.

Great heat signature camera. This isn't something I'd use for my driveway, but when you have something very sensitive to protect like we do here at work, this is a great monitoring guard. It sees through almost anything. We do use this camera as an early warning and then we switch to our high resolution Pan Tilt Zoom IR camera. It does pretty well in water environments since it's looking at heat signatures and not light or IR LED provided light. If this is the sort of thing you need it will definitely fit the cause.
This is a nice working FLIR camera for the price. It detects heat signatures well and displays them rather clearly for a FLIR type camera. I've priced these out and have found comparable cameras that cost at least $5,000 to
$6,000 so the price is unbelievable. This camera has a good range and can be used for monitoring any entry into a perimeter area. The Low Wave Infra-Red spectrum that this camera operates at produces a clear, stable monocolor image. I am pleased with its performance.
