The ACP-iEDC-Pack is your solution for controlling up to 8 doors. You might think that controlling 8 doors is a daunting task but we have made it simple and easy to use.
First off,for a limited time we are offering TECHPRO free ENTERPRISE Server 16Door Management Software. The software enables you to configure Access Control / Time & Attendance / Visitor Management / ID Badging / Video Surveillance & Elevator Control. The board can also be powered with PoE (Power Over Ethernet) and can connect directly into your network.
This 8 Door Access Control Package comes with 8 Reader Ports. You can connect either Smart Card Access Readers or Regular Proximity Readers. Smart cards are proximity cards that can also have data programmed into the card such as "debit" card to buy food in the School Cafeteria or Office Complex.
There are a total of 16 Relay Outputs to connect to your Door Strikes, Mag Locks, Alarms, Sirens etc.
There are a total of 16 Imports to receive Exit Buttons and Door Contact Sensors for example.
Two features of this Access Control Board that are beneficial for security are Anti-Passback and Duress Modes. Anti-Passback is a safeguard against people that are not supposed to have access to the premises and it only works when their is a reader on each side of a door. One example is if Person "A" scans his card at the reader and then holds the door open for Person "B" who does not scan a card. When Person "B" tries to leave, an alarm will go off and Exit Access will be denied.
Duress Mode is another great security feature. A Duress Mode example is when a woman feels she is being followed from the parking lot to the office. When she scans her card and presses a code on the keypad, the security room will be notified that she is under "duress".
There are a lot of powerful features and configurations for this 8-door Access Control package and they can be found in the downloadable manual. This package comes with the iEDC board and the power supply all connected inside of a Nema Box. It is suggested that an optional back-up power supply is purchased as shown in the picture.
