Our POE-8 is an 8 channel POE switch which can provide Power Over Ethernet for up to 7 POE IP cameras or other POE devices. Many competitors sell 8 port POE switches which only offer 4 ports of POE. The other 4 ports are just standard network ports. Our POE-8 is different because all 8 ports are able to provide POE. You will need to use one port to connect to your network, and you can use any of the remaining ports to power your POE ethernet devices. Each port can supply a full 15.4 Watts of power and the total power output will allow all 7 ports to supply full power. Many other POE switches cannot provide full power to all the POE ports at the same time. This 8 port POE switch can provide power over ethernet up to 328 feet away and will simplify your installation because you can run both the network and power over a single Ethernet cable.

It works good as is a good POE device, especially if you have an odd number of cameras on your system. It's kind of strange because although this POE switch has 8 ports, one of the ports is considered the input from your network so you really only have 7 working POE ports. So, if you have 8 cameras, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you have a system with an odd number of cameras like 5, 6, or 7 than this is the ticket for POE!
