When I discovered that I had to have this module to set up my two PTZ cameras, I thought, "Oh No, this will probably cost about $800!!" You can imagine my surprise when I found out the cost was only $29.95. In fact, I like it so much that I bought one more PTZ for the front of my building, but it is not connected to the DVR. Recording on this camera is not as important as full time monitoring. So I use this module to control my lone camera.

Although this device is used to set controls for multiple PTZ or PT cameras in the same surveillance system, I am writing to tell you that it also works great for controlling one camera. I have more than one PTZ camera in my store and I used it to set-up and program those cameras. But I also have one PTZ camera wired outside of this system (for various reasons) that I use for monitoring only. I don't have the need for this camera to record, but I do use the camera for live surveillance. This unit works great as a controller for that single camera as well.

We have a system with multiple PTZ units so I guess this unit is more of a requirement than a convenience for us. It works really well and it makes it really easy to program our PTZ-LX550L3x PTZ Cameras. Just plug in the power supply and the camera cables and you can begin adjusting the settings.

This tool makes programming my ptz's almost too easy.
