If your computer or laptop doesn't have a multimedia card center or simply cannot read SD cards but has a USB port this works perfectly.

I bought this reader with my full order that included an SD card standalone camera. The reader works well on my laptop and my PC. It just plugs into the USB port. I might have been able to fine one for a little less, but I figured as long as I was getting free shipping on my order I might as well just include it with it instead of ordering somewhere else. My laptop is Windows 7 and my PC is an older XP and it works well on both.

We have a wireless camera with an SD card as the DVR storage. I was kind of excited when I got the camera and then I realized my computer doesn't have a slot to plug the SD card into, although I do have plenty of open USB ports. This works great for reading the card, and no my daughter can give me the SD card out of her regular digital camera so I can download pictures of my grandson right to my computer. Works great, no problems so far!
