Most of our cameras do run on 12v but you will need to configure your setup properly in order for this to work. The amount of time the camera can run on a car battery will depend on the type of camera since some cameras use Infrared LEDs for nighttime viewing which draw more power. Also, PTZs will need more power to operate as well. We cannot support this type of setup, but it’s definitely doable if done right. You will more than likely get hours of use instead of weeks though.

can car battery use to power battery operated camera for extended time.if that is possible how long can it run on a fully charge battery?
