As long as you have the correct adapter to connect it, and it’s powered, it should work for you to listen in nice and clear.

Hi, I just got a dvr system, it has 2 audio inputs, but I don’t have the required mic, I was wondering if I can adapt to the dvr a normal mic, a pc mic. thanks for reading.

You can wire the mic right back to the dvr and plug it into one of the audio inputs. What is the model number of the Mic you have purchased? This will give us a better idea of what kind of connectors it came with and what type of cables you will need in order to connect it to one of our systems.

just box eternal microphone in its own housing, little white box with 3 wires, now what? how does a simple woman like me get this wired up properly. All I want to do is connect it my dvr and put the little box outside nr my camera so I have sound too,

Desperately seeking some help or diagrams of what I need now to get this thing wired and working.
