This DVR Hybrid has an admin password that is over 6 characters.  I can login via the web interface with it but I can not seem to change it as when I enter the old 7 character password it won't accept the 7th letter.  I've attempted to default the entire unit completely but still can't change this password.  What can I do?

You can give us a call and we can log into a PC and telnet to the unit.

I've tried that but it fails.  Is there an alternate port other than the standard 23?

No, in that case I would log in with the 888888 account and just create another admin user with admin rights. That would be the easiest way around it.

You can also use the bypass password for the admin account that only works at the local interface not the web. You will need to give us a call for us to provide this code. It only works for a day and only with the admin username regardless of the password you have setup at the moment. This code will allow you to bypass it and it will allow you to create a new password.

I am having a password issue with the same unit. The password has not been changed from the default password. I was able to login once remotely through the web service. Now I am receiving a login failed message, not an incorrect password message. Any ideas?
