I'm interested in moving up from my analog system to higher res cameras such as 1080p. I currently have 700/1000TVL cameras... will these work with your Tribrid DVR-CVI16480M-DH-V2 model? Does it work with all resolution Analog cameras? What is the maximum resolution camera that will work with this DVR?

Also, it's currently out of stock... any idea when you'll have them in?

Thanks!

cbaker2k,

The unit you are interested in should work with you current cameras as long as they are an analog camera.  The resolution for analog maxes out at 960h, but in HD it can do up to 1080P at 15fps or 720P at 30fps.  The unit you are interested in is currently out of stock until roughly the beginning of next month.  We do have a larger version of the unit that adds more HDD space that is in stock and it is the TRIDVR-ELE16C.  This unit is a 1.5u rack mountable unit and hold up to 4 HDDs.  Both units have identical specs outside of these changes.

cbaker2k,

Short answer is yes the old Analog cameras will work with this recorder, they would need to have a BNC connection.

The DVR-CVI16480M-DH-V2 is Currently out of stock until roughly the beginning of next month, Be sure to give us a call for stock checks, you can also subscribe to get notifications when they become available.

The DVR-CVI16480M-DH-V2 will allow the connection of 16 cameras. You can mix and match from Analog cameras to CVI cameras the only limitation is when adding IP/Network cameras as they cannot be greater than 2mp and the unit will only handle 2 IP/Network cameras, For third party IP cameras they have to be OnVif Cameras version 2.4 or greater. When it comes to CVI and Analog cameras there is no minimum requirement.
It can record 1080p (1920x1080) / 720p (1280x720) / 960H (960x480) / D1 (704x480), Recording speeds 1080P (15fps) / 720P/960H/D1 (30fps).

Thanks for the help guys... I think I'll wait for this one to come in as I don't need the extras offered on the other model. Can you confirm that the DVRs software/mobile client is the same as shown in the videos listed on the unit's page? I've owned a few DVRs and the software shown is a nice improvement over what I've been using and is worth the wait.
