I have a Elite series DVR. Can access and view without issue on internal network. I can access remotely. The issue is when connected remotely, No Video in camera view panels? The view panels show connection ( IP Address-Camera # Kbps S2 ) but no video ?
Before this happened: ( Loss of remote video )
I checked the settings in Config and found the IP address had changed for some reason from 18.104.22.168 to 192.168.1.109
I corrected this aspect and checked connection on internal network, it worked without issues.
I am running WinXP/ IE-8 / Compatibility view on the remote computer. WEB Service = Webrec Control Version 22.214.171.124 NETSDK Version 126.96.36.199 PLYSDK Version 188.8.131.528 Any suggestions on what to check / change would be greatly appreciated
It sounds like the issue is due to the ports that you opened for network traffic to the DVR from outside are still pointing to the old IP address. You will need to go into your router and find your port forwarding option and change the open ports (if you used the default) for 37777 and 37778 to point to 192.168.1.109 . Also, in the DVR network settings, uncheck the DHCP option so that the IP does not change again.
