I just bought a 720p HD-CVI Vandal Resistant IR Dome Camera with 2.8 mm Lens [#CVIOD-EL1MPIR50L28E]  and installed it.  The image during the day is great but just a blank black screen at night.  I have porch lights and turning them on or off makes no difference.  The DVR is the 16 Channel Mini Series HD-CVI / IP / CCTV DVR [#DVR-CVI16480M-DH-V2] purchased 6/2015 from you.

Do you know if the IRs turn on when its dark. Can you see them on? Is your DVR setup for remote access, maybe you can give us access and we can take a look at the recorded footage.

So I just watched the playback and noticed as dusk approaches the image flashes black and then back to a good picture for quite a while.  Then once it is dark enough the image goes completely black. It appears when the IR comes on the image goes black.

I will need your remote IP and login info and I don't want you to put it on the forum so please go to our web-site, SecurityCameraKing.com and start a chat with us. Ask to talk to Art and we will try to help you out.

Hi,

we need to know exactly the cable you are using and if you got it from us. Also you need to test at the camera side what you are getting for voltage. The easy way to verify cable and power are good is to swap that camera out with a known good camera and see what happens.
