Can this camera be setup so that the default position would be zoomed in if the camera was rebooted?

Thanks,

Nick

Are you saying that it changes from your zoom position to another after a power cycle?

Hi NWulf,

Unfortunately there is no setting that will allow you to have your camera go back into a "Default" or set position.

You will have to log into the camera and select Camera/Zoom and Focus and clock on the Restore All Button and [+] Auto Focus button.

Well, that's no good.  I just ordered 2 from Amazon.

In the documentation I seen a Tour mode and figured that would allow a reset to auto zoom to a specified location...like some other brand camera's we have.

I guess I shouldn't assume.

This model does not have the PTZ section. If you would have it you would have to set up some type of relay that monitors the power and sets a preset. Now after reading your first post, I may have understood the question in a different manner. If you are referring to turning off the camera and the positioning of the lens still remain after a power outage or a manual shut off, then yes it will retain the position.

It will retain your set position when losing power.  Follow Jose's original instructions if you wish to default the camera to the factory zoom settings.
