I have setup DynDns on the DVR (HD-CVI) and can access remotely from ipad (TSS lite)  and android (TSS lite) when I use the current IP address  but get "login failed" when I use the DynDns host name.

Make sure you follow the steps in this video.

Also take a look at this PDF

It seems that the DYNDNS account is not being updated with your current IP.

Thanks.

Reviewed video and pdf. I have an old DVR on my network using DynDns and port 80 ok. When I setup the new TechPro HD-CVI DVR networking I used port 88. There is no port number on the DynDns configuration in the DVR. From IE remotely I have accessed both DVR's using the respective port numbers so the router is OK.

Do I have to kill the old DVR and change the TechPro DVR to port 80?

I also need to use DynDns with remote Android, MacOS and iOS, what exactly goes into the address field in this software?

Oh i see the problem. Lets say your DYNDNS Domain is http://mydomainname.dyndns.org you need to add the port you do this by adding :88.

Final URL should be http://mydomainname.dyndns.org:88

Let me know how this works for you.

Another weird thing I noticed on my network, If I went outside my network to access my DVR or NVR and i used the same method i mention in my last post I would have to sometimes use the http://mydomainname.dyndns.org/ and let the Browser (IE) load and give me an error then adding the :88 in my case I used :82 to gain access.

It is something to do with how the browser handles cache.

Are you using a free dyndns account? If so, it may be gone. Dyndns is only paid now.

Have you checked to see if port 88 is open with canyouseeme.org, doing so within your home LAN network? What ports have you forwarded thus far for the cvi unit? Are you able to remote into the cvi unit if you take the other dvr off line?

For mobile android/iphone software, in the address field you put in just your dyndns name, nothing else. In the port field, you put in 37777 if that's the port the cvi unit uses

Hi,

to configure dyndns all you need to do is point your domain to your external IP address. The port in the configurations page should be 80. This is the port dyndns service use to update the IP when it changes. Each dvr in the network should have different IP addresses, ports tcp and UDP and http. To access the unit from a pc you need to be outside the network for this to work, then use the right port based on the application you are using, phone or IE. If accessing through phone the you use the tcp port in the port field not in the address field, or if using IE then it should start with http://yourdomainhere:88 or whatever port you set on each dvr for http.
