This Passive Balun will allow you to transmit power and video and AUDIO over CAT5 cable up to 1,000ft. Just use standard RJ-45 connectors on the ends of the CAT5 cable. These baluns have RJ-45 plugs built right in!
- Transmit CCTV power, audio and video over 1,000ft using CAT5 Cable
- Built-in Linearity, sharpness and chroma control
- Enable unparalleled common interferences rejection
- Built-in transient protection
- Improve the picture definition when connected to DVR or Quad, and reduce noise
This is definitely the way to maximize the use of CAT5 cable for an analog camera run. This balun puts everything in one CAT5 cable and saves a lot of hassle.

So you've got one of those installs that's lengthy, uses CAT5 and you want to throw power, video, and audio all in one? Don't ask for much do you? Ha! This works great. It'll pump up your video signal but it can't do anything for the power so if you're running real long you may want to consider AC.

And you thought POE (Power over the Ethernet) was only for IP megapixel cameras....lol. These baluns work great when you need to run power, video, and audio over a CAT5 cable. They are relatively cheap and certainly easy to use. Run one cable and you've got all three services available to your camera and DVR and the best thing is that you don't have to connect individual CAT5 wires, just use a regular RJ45 plug.

The title just about says it all. These work great. If you have a job that requires you to run power, video, and audio all through a CAT5 cable these are the connectors that will hook you up. Just plug the CAT5 RJ45 into each balun and connect the rest of the cables. I've installed some pretty long runs with these baluns and I've never had a problem.

If you are looking for an easy way out to running three different sets of cables or wires (video, audio, and power) these single channel passive video baluns will work. I had plenty of surplus Cat 5 cable from another project and when I went to set up my security system I thought that maybe there was a way I could do it using the surplus cable to save a little money. I spoke with Security Camera King's support department and they suggested I try using these. They work great! Everything is in one cable not three and it's a lot easier to drill holes in the wall to feed on Cat 5 than it is for an RG59, an RCA audio, and the power wires.

I ran CAT5 UTP cable to a couple of my cameras and I really didn't think that these baluns would make much of a difference but they did. They really work to stabilize the signal while enabling RJ45 connections to be used with BNC, RCA, and power plug connectors.

These do a good job of maintaining the integrity of the signals. I use these on most jobs where CAT5 already exists and it is not being used. It offers a much less expensive installation because you don't have to run any cable.

These little guys can save you a lot of time and work if you are installing a digital video security system where there was once a computer Ethernet CAT5 cable. All we had to do was plug these baluns into the camera and DVR and then plug the CAT5 into the baluns. Sweet!
