Actually, disregard my auto iris comment. That doesn't apply, I don't believe. A further question- does the color change hues throughout the day, looking normal most times and then an odd hue others?

Perhaps I am being too particular. Yes it shifts during the day between a very warm color temperature to a more neutral tone.

Like the difference between 5000 kelvin and 6500 kelvin.

When I first got this camera, the image on the monitor matched what I saw outside by eye.

Also, when I pan the camera the image wouldn't break up and then settle down when I stopped panning as it does now..

Here is the Setup menu settings:Setup.jpgImage Enlarger

You have the bit rate a bit low on main stream. Any reason you have it set at that? Have you tried it at higher resolutions?

Hi,

No to both questions. I'll turn them up a notch and see what it looks like.

I jumped into CCTV on a whim and have been learning as I go.

i have no idea what the recommended bit rate should be.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks again Shockwave. I went to the default setting and the both the frame rate

and fps were (by default) set much higher. The image looks much better now.

I don't know when it changed but anyway it looks as it should now.

Btw, that's a 1080p camera yeah, keep main stream at the resolutions and frame rates up for best recorded image. If you need to ptz the camera remotely, be sure to do that with sub stream so you have fluid motion.
