My IPC cams were changing their time and time zones no matter how many times I reset them. Plus the playback video was out of sync was usable with glitches in playback. If you have the same problem I found the solution online.
You default the time screen, turn off DST, turn off NTP, don’t worry what time zone it is anymore. Set the time on your NVR. Then do the same to each camera. Once you stop the IPC cameras from seeking time changes, the IPC has to get the time from your NVR.
Come Nov and March change the NVR time by one hour and the cameras will change automatically.
After you have IPCs synced with NVR time your vidoe playback will by in sync and smooth like it should be.
Hope this helps someone. I was perplexed for days and now my NVR is running smooth.
If anyone has a better “fix” let me know.
NVR is a 8 ch Pentabrid HDOC brand new last week. It does IPcams, HD-CVI, but I only have IP cams on it.

Well soon after I typed the previous message 4 out of 8 cameras jumped ahead 12 hours. The minutes and the seconds are synced but the hour is off by 12 hours and a day ahead.
The videos play but with 4 cams with wrong day and time.
I need help on keeping my cameras synced.
Some of my cameras are from 2014. I don’t want to upgrade cameras just to fix time glitch.

Hi Jer,
I see in your account that there are several systems purchased. Could you be more specific, and tell me what model recorder you have and cameras? Also, we may need to upgrade the firmware on the recorder and the cameras.

8 Channel Pentabrid 4K 1U DVR/NVR
Software system v3.218.0000001.1
Build date 2017-09-01
When I do manual check update on NVR it says “It is latest version”
Of 8 cameras 3 fail to keep time sync. So I need firmware updates for
IPC
Model IPOD-EL3MPIR50
Need asap please

Hi Jer,
Glad you got it working, and thank you for the updated information. I will say be careful downloading firmware for these cameras on the Internet. If you upload the incorrect one it is possible for the camera to become bricked.

I have 5 IPOD-ELE3MPIR50 IPC that have software version from 2014-09-30
I would love to have the latest firmware from the factory to fix my time/sync problem with DVR
See attached pictures for firmware date and other data that you may need.
