We purchased this camera for monitoring and recording an open field area behind our storage facility for both day and night. There is a fence at the border of the property, but it requires a zoom lens to really be able to identify who may be back that far. The property strip is narrow enough that a PTZ camera isn't needed for lateral movement. The 2.8 to 10 mm DC iris motorized zoom lens is just good enough to provide the zoom we need and the super low light sensitivity is sharp enough to give us an image with out the need for infrared illuminators, etc. We have this camera connected to our Security Camera King Ultimate DVR and the RS485 connection works fine for controlling the camera.

There is something about this camera just elicits high quality and performance. We received this camera about 5 days after we ordered it. Like most bullets, it was easy to mount; we had no problems there. The camera is connected to the mount on a system that allows you to place the camera in just about any position so that isn't an issue either. There are two fantastic features of this camera that make it so special. One is the varifocal 2.9 - 10mm varifocal motorized DC iris and auto focus lens. With this feature you can mount the camera and automatically zoom back and forth based on your needs. Unlike the high cost of a comparable PTZ camera, this camera has Zoom only so there is no pan and tilt function. The lens works great and can be controlled by either remote control or via an RS485 hook up. The second great feature is the true day/night adaptability of the camera. There are no infrared LEDs on this camera because it is rated to produce color video in 0 LUX lighting! That augments the zoom function all the more because you don't have to worry about the zoom function taking you out of range of any infrared LED illuminators that occur on other cameras. The combo works great, and if you have an application that this camera could fit, I would highly recommend it. As I mentioned earlier, it does come with an RS485 connection so you can access the OSD. The OSD has a lot of features that can enhance your shot including digital wide dynamic range, motion detection, gain control, white balance, and back light compensation. It's an excellent product and I certainly have no complaints.

As you must know if you are interested in this item, this isn't your average bullet camera. I'd say it offers more than just a convenience, more like a "special" use, what ever that may be for you. This camera has a 2.8 10 mm varifocal lens which really helps to narrow in on the shot you need or to make it wide and "grab everything" if that is what you want. It's got a 650 TVL resolution combined with 1/3 inch Sony High Resolution Superhad CCD and DSP to produce a video recording that is excellent in quality and darn near perfect in color correctness. Of course one of the most important parts to the camera is its automatic iris motorized zoom lens. And since this camera is a true day/night camera, you don't have to worry about "ranges" for infrared illumination. However, I will add that this camera picks up stray light from our other infrared cameras that may be in its field of view and that light actually enhances its night time recording. The camera comes with a remote control but we really don't use it, Instead we have run a pair of wires to the camera from our Security Camera King DVR and we use the RS485 connection to control the lens and the On Screen Display menu system. There are lots of features available on this camera including white balance, gain control, back light compensation, digital wide dynamic range, digital zoom, and motion detection. It has done an excellent job for us and we love it!

We had this camera installed about 6 months ago. We have a special application for which this camera fits the purpose exactly. We don't need a PTZ but we do need a quality zoom camera with a good day/night feature and this has both. We use the RS485 on our DVR to move the zoom lens even though the camera comes with it's own remote control (we figure there is less hassles and greater convenience using the RS485 method, plus we want to be able to control the OSD with our DVR too). In case you are curious, here's some of the features that are contained in the OSD: Digital wide dynamic range, motion detection, mirror, white balance, back light compensation, and gain control. The video quality is excellent color quality for us day or night. We'd recommend it.

Dig down deep in your pocket to buy this camera, but then again, you don't get a special camera like this for 50 bucks! First the obvious, it is a true day night camera so that means no infrared LEDs needed here and color shots down to the lowest available light. The next item that makes this camera so special is the lens. The 2.8 - 10 mm motorized lens with automatic zoom control, focus, and iris is controllable from the DVR using the RS485 connection. To Top things off this camera has an On Screen Display Menu system that can also be controlled from the DVR and offers a wealth of video enhancing features like variable shutter speeds, white balance, back light compensation, gain control, motion detection, digital wide dynamic range and it even has a 10X digital zoom! This is a good specialty camera that lives up to the expectations of its price.

This is a super quality, specialized camera that records fantastic color video during the day or night! The 650 TVL resolution provides nice detail in the shot and produces a clear, sharp picture. The color is very near if not right at life like even in with night time shots. The camera has a 2.8 to 10 mm varifocal zoom lens with an automatic iris. The nice thing about this camera is that unlike infrared cameras, this camera does not require infrared LED illumination in darkness because it is a true day night camera. This advantage is extended further because it also has a zoom lens. On infrared cameras with zoom lens your night time shots (especially when you zoom in on distant areas) are limited to the strength and coverage of your LEDs. Not so with the Security Camera King TPS-QLBAZ1 since it is a true day/night camera it can pick up the shot at night even when using the zoom and it produced the video in color. The zoom lens can be controlled with the included infrared remote control or for even greater convenience it can also be connected to the RS485 connection on your DVR and controlled from there. The camera comes with an on screen display menu system and several electronic video capturing enhancing features like shutter control, mirror function, gain control, and back light, and white balance. This is a very good quality camera that offers the uses a lot of options for recording video and I recommend it.

This is a premium camera. Actually it's not easy to find good bullet cameras with all the electronic features the TPS-QLBAZ1 has to offer including a 650 TVL video output and a auromatic zoom lens let alone be a true day/night camera that doesn't require infrared illumination. The TPS-QLBAZ1 camera has an automatic 2.9 to 10 mm zoom lens with auto iris and focus. Ours does an excellent job of creating a very accurate, crisp video recording that is true to color. The camera is easy to mount and includes the option of using an RS485 connection for control or the use of the included remote control. Good for special uses!

It's true that this isn't your average bullet camera but it is, however, a very good one with some special features. The 650 TVL resolution helps to produce a clear, detailed, color picture. I even like the design of this camera as it seems sleek and contemporary. The camera is easy to mount using just the four included screws. Probably the most prominent special feature of this camera is the automatic 2.8 to 10 mm zoom and iris lens. The second most prominent feature of this camera is that it is a true day/night camera. That means there are no LEDs needed; it produces true color video even in low light conditions! The camera has an on screen display menu that is used to adjust the settings on the many included electronic features that enhance your video recording experience. The OSD as well as the automatic zoom feature can be controlled using the enclosed remote control, or better yet, by running a pair of wires from the DVR to the camera via the RS485 connection. Then you can control the OSD and the lens from the DVR. The OSD gives you command over several feature controls such as shutter speed, white balance, back light compensation, digital wide dynamic range and more. This camera has worked out very nicely for us and I would recommend it to anyone that has a need for a true day/night camera with an automatic zoo/focus/iris lens.

As I said above, this camera is a great specialty camera. It has a black color and a sleek design for a bullet camera. The camera is easy to mount, set up, and use. It produces a great video with 650 TVL resolution and very true color. The 2.8 to 10 mm motorized zoom lens works extremely well; shots are smooth and focus is maintained throughout. This camera has no infrared LEDs as it is true infrared without the need for artificial illumination. Therefore the night shot is also in true color and is very sharp and clear. The camera has an on screen display menu system that can be used to adjust the settings on many features and allows you to make adjustments to the camera for different lighting environments and conditions. Some of the great features that I have used include white balance, gain control, back lighting, wide dynamic range, and motion detection. Once again, I have had no problems with this camera and it has demonstrated great performance. I'll rate it at 5 stars out of 5.

Love it. We recently purchased your 650 TVL Auto Zoom True Day/Night Color at Night Bullet camera to use outside our facility to monitor oncoming traffic. The auto zoom works great and allows us to get in tight when necessary to identify people and maintain a color perspective even at night. You would think that such a sensitive camera would have a difficult time with bright daylight but I guess the white balance and back light functions help to compensate for this as well. The on screen display is also a nice feature that allows us to make adjustments to the settings on the camera. We use the RS485 connection and/or the remote control to manipulate the zoom control when necessary. The 650 TVL resolution shows fine detail and creates a crystal clear video picture. This is not your average security video camera and its performance definitely demonstrates that.
