This E-SATA external storage device is compatible with any device that has an E-SATA port. Currently, our Elite Series, Ultimate Series, Ultimate Hybrid Series DVRs and NVRs have an E-SATA port and can use this storage unit. This unit can reach transmission speeds of up to 3GB per seconf and has a 40mb/s write speed and a 70mb/s read speed. It is in a 1.5U case and is very easy to operate and very stable. This device can be used to back up your video footage, or it can be used as a designated storage device for your DVRs / NVRs or for specific cameras.

This is great for any DVR or NVR that has an eSATA port on the back panel. You can add this, fill it up with disk drives and extend your storage with up to 4 additional internal hard drives. The unit does a good job of managing the hard drives and helps to maintain a healthy transmission speed with fairly quick read/write speeds.

If your DVR supports eSATA devices this unit is great for extending your hard disk storage space potential. It has fast transmission rates and if you load it up to the max you can add an additional 8 Tbs of hard drive space. Rack mounts easily too.

When one of our administrators wanted to know exactly what the NAS storage device was I told them to think of it as a USB hub but instead of plugging more USB devices into it, you plug in hard drives to extend your storage capability on your security camera system. We actually designate specific cameras to record to the drives and they hold a long time of footage this way. It is a great way to extend the storage capacity of your DVR and installing it is easy.

This is a great way of turning one SATA port (which you would normally think of using one drive on) into four. We mounted the SATA drives inside the E-SATA NAS Storage Device and mounted the device to our rack. Strapped it up to our DVR and it works great!

I'm using this E-Sata storage unit on my Ultimate series DVR to backup my video. I operate a small video slots cafe and I really like the ability to backup my footage before I re-record over it. Even though I have a large hard drive in my DVR I have maxed out my E-Sata with 4 large hard drives. This has given me the maximum duration in storage of video so I can go back and view something from quite a long time ago. Copy speeds are quick and I have had absolutely no problems with the unit.
