Not only is this highly visible EXIT sign a great safety feature for your office, it is also a high quality, high resolution camera system!
The camera built into this unit utilizes a 380TVL high resolution 1/4 inch CCD with a 3.7mm wide angle lens. This will provide great coverage of any room in fairly low light. Some lighting will be required, but a TV or a night light should be sufficient to achieve great video recordings.
This unit includes an integrated DVR for complete standalone operation. Video is conveniently stored on the included 8GB SD card for easy retrieval. This DVR will record at 320x240 resolution at 30 frames per second, or 640x480 resolution at 12 frames per second. The hidden camera in this Exit sign works well. In order to detect it, you would have to be looking for it specifically. We get about 4 days of monitoring at 320 x 240 resolution and medium quality. The wide angle lens picks up just about everything, but I did have to do a little adjusting to the sign to get the camera to center on the filed of vision I wanted.
