I recently installed a Security Camera King security camera system in my home, including a bullet camera to cover my long driveway. I was really disappointed by the fact that the camera's infrared range didn't cover all the way to the end of the driveway which I was really needing it to do. So I contacted Security Camera King and complained about it. They asked me to measure the distance I need to cover with a tape measure because they insisted that their camera would cover the range it stated. Well, I measured the distance and they were right, it did. But I was still short of covering the end of my drive way. So the support department suggested I try one of their infrared illuminators, specifically this model. I was hesitant at first but I figured since I had invested the money I already put into the entire system I would try this but I was insistent that I would return it if it didn't work. How do the kids say it these days?....My bad. It worked and it works fine. In fact I now get more of a range than what I needed and that's okay too. Thanks to the Security Camera King support staff. This illuminator works very well.

This illuminator is a high quality infrared light source. It's convenient because it is dual voltage so you can use either a 12 VDC or a 24 VAC power supply. The range stated for this illuminator is 250 feet but depending on how you use, mount, and aim it, you can probably even tweak a little more range out of it. One thing that is a little different with this model than others is that the area it covers is about a 60 degree area so it has a bit wider illumination beam than most infrared illuminators. Plus with all those LEDs (I think there is about 83 or so) the light seems more uniformly distributed as well, giving you better quality infrared video recording. I'd recommend it.

This illuminator works great to extend the range of my security camera at night when operating in infrared mode. If you have an extremely long drive way or simply just a large area that you want to monitor and protect at night, this illuminator can light it up for your infrared camera extremely well without anyone being able to see the infrared light with the naked eye. Careful placement of your illuminator can really extend the range of your camera. Great Product!

This illuminator really works well. I have used it to extend my camera's range down our driveway. It lights things up for the camera but of course we can't see a thing. If you have an infrared camera and you need to extend your range I highly recommend this illuminator.

This really lights a path! This illuminator works great at extending the range of my current camera. With 83 IR LEDs I thought the power usage would be out of sight, but with an output of less than 10 watts there's not much to worry about considering the peace of mind it provides. I would highly recommend this.

This illuminator is incredible. This is basically a flood light for infrared cameras. As soon as I received this I mounted it on the exterior of my garage to help extend the range of my outdoor IR camera so I could see down our driveway. I never expected it to illuminate the entire length of the driveway but it did so with ease. I not only feel even more secure with my digital video security system but I now know what's been getting into my trash on garbage night!

This illuminator works really well and drastically extends the nighttime IR operating range of my camera. It's hard to believe that humans can't see the IR light when you view the recorded video made possible by this illuminator. Also, I knew I needed the illuminator, but I never bothered to think about it's power supply requirements when I purchased it. So when I received it, I thought that with my luck, it would be a problem. Thankfully it can use either 24V AC or 12V DC power. I would suggest this to anyone wanting to extend the range of their IR camera for sure.

This makes it possible to have my parking lot fully lit for my cameras and you can't tell with the naked eye.

This illuminator made a drastic extension in range for my night vision cameras.
