Our Elite Mini Economy Series is the best value we offer in high quality DVRs. Do not let the word economy fool you. Our Economy series is still ahead of most of our competitors in features and quality. This series can record realtime video on all channels at the same time in CIF resolution and can record the highest resolution setting (D1 resolution) at 7fps. All of our DVRs share the same menus, softwares and most features so if you know how to use one, you know them all. This DVR can hold one hard drive up to 3TB of internal storage. It has a VGA and BNC video output, RS485 for PTZ control and one audio input for microphone.
Our Elite Mini Economy Series DVR features embedded Linux OS, remote monitoring from anywhere in the world, audio recording and H.264 compression. This is NOT a PC based DVR which is subject to viruses and hacking. This is a standalone unit built for only one purpose - the best quality video surveillance in the world.
The Elite Mini Series DVR is the state-of-the-art in digital surveillance technology. This DVR features professional grade components and is manufactured to industrial standards. Its advanced functionality makes this one of the best standalone systems on the market today.
This unit is all about versatility. WithVGA and BNC Video outputs, you can operate several different monitors simultaneously. Hook up a big screen TV with ease.
The Elite Mini Economy Series utilizes H.264 hardware compression to bring you great quality video while maximizing your hard disk storage capacity. This DVR brings you the maximum in recording versatility by being able to record CIF resolution on all channels at 30fps.You can also record D1 resolution at 7fps on every channel.
The Elite Mini Economy Series DVR is amazingly simple to setup and operate. An intuitive mouse-driven interface provides very simple point-and-click control over all functions and settings. In addition, the unit also includes an IR remote control. Up to 16 channels can be played back at the same time at the DVR, and 4 channels can be played back via the web interface or client software.
The built-in Web server allows you to perform most every function of the DVR remotely with Internet Explorer. Client software is also included to allow you to centrally monitor multiple Elite Mini Series units simultaneously. Two-way audio over the network or Internet is also standard on the Elite Mini Series. So, not only can you hear what is going on, you can interact. This DVR supports up to 10 simultaneous network or Internet users. With Dynamic DNS support, it is not necessary to have a static IP address on your network in order to remotely access this DVR. This saves you money, as most ISPs charge extra for a static IP address.
Having the ability to remotely view your system is great, but what if you are on the road and just can't monitor your system all the time. This is no problem with the Elite Mini Series DVRs highly flexible email capability. Just set up a standard POP email account and have the system email you anywhere based on any criteria you choose. Many of our customers have emails sent to their cell phone for real time alerts. You choose email triggers that you want, and the DVR does the rest.
This unit only supports one SATA hard disk drive, but with up to 3TB SATA hard drives available, this is no longer a limitation. Also, due to the compact form factor of this unit, it is not capable of supporting a DVD burner internally. However, video can be backed up to a USB thumb drive for safe keeping or in the event that you must give the footage to the police. Video can also be saved right on your PC for easy access. FTP backup and recording functionality ensures your video is safe even if the DVR is destroyed.
This system runs on a rock solid Linux embedded OS, with embedded web server, and digital signal processors to bring you the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. This high end system will provide you with everything you need other than a monitor. If you tie the system into your network, you wont even need a monitor to view your DVR.
The Elite Mini Series DVR comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
And don't forget that we provide support for every step of your installation project.
***Please note: In most cases we will be able to remotely assist you in the configuration of your computer network for remote DVR viewing. However, we cannot be responsible for complex network configuration or the performance of your internet connection.***

16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR
Review by Chris Lafferty on Apr 09, 2013
I am really pleased with the Security Camera King 16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR. I purchased this DVR with a 2 TB maximum internal storage capacity and it works just fine. I get well over the time I need for recording all 16 channels continuously, 24/7. For my purposes it is not necessary to maintain archived footage or copies of all cameras recording continuously; I only need to reproduce video footage in the course of certain events. I do this easily by recording onto USB thumb drives. I've never encountered a situation where the footage was so long that it exceeded the capacity of my thumb drives. If so I guess I could record that footage by backing up the files to my computer's hard drive by using FTP but I have to admit, I've never done that. As for the DVR, it packs quite a "punch" for the price range that it is in. Not only does it record all 16 cameras simultaneously but it does so with a very high quality video display. Further, I've never had a systems crash or the video recordings freeze nor have I ever had to stop the DVR to reboot it. For me, that's pretty impressive for all the activity that is going on inside the unit simultaneously. This unit also works well for me because although it records up to 16 cameras I already have a VGA monitor to use and I have no need for audio recording so I am not paying for something that I don't use. I do have the unit connected to the Internet and make use of the remote accessing feature through the Internet. It works good and we have never encountered any problems there either. For the potential buyer, I would say that I would recommend this DVR to anyone that is looking for economy with quality, and has no use for some of the many other useful features of a full size unit.
16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR
Review by Roscoe Ellison on Mar 14, 2013
There's nothing extra here aside from the Security Camera King Techvision standard features on a DVR but then again, the price is just about as low as you will find for the high quality that is offered. If you think I'm wrong do some searching (I'll see you back here in about an hour or more...lol). There are a lot of Security Camera dealers these days, both on-line and off, including even places like Costco and Sam's club. However, I guarantee you that the quality of the electronics for security camera systems you may purchase at these "warehouses" are not even close to the Security Camera King 16 channel Elite Mini Economy DVR. In addition, few sell the DVR alone; they are usually sold as packaged systems with cameras included.
This Security Camera King 16 Channel Elite Economy model is trimmed down to afford quality CIF resolution recording at 30 frames per second at a low-cost price but without including a bunch of features that you don't need. It's a "Mini" unit so it can't hold a lot of internal hard disk drives for storage but you can still max it out at 3 full Terabytes which is good enough for full time recording if you don't feel you need to archive your files for weeks to months at a time. If you are on a timed schedule, or record only during motion detection, you've got plenty of hard space if you purchase the full 3 Terabytes. The DVR is easy to hook up and pretty easy to use. You can use the older BNC type monitor or even a VGA monitor (I use an old VGA computer monitor). The displays, though at one of the lowest resolutions, are very clear and colorful. (Actually if you don't mind dropping the frame rate from 30 down to 7 frames per second you can even record in D1 resolution.)
The Internet functions work great! You can set the DVR to monitor the camera for motion detection, and then have the DVR send you an e-mail when motion is detected, alarming you to the presence of a moving person, animal, or object. If you have a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer near by, you can than access your system remotely and view your camera live to see what's actually happening.
Finally, although there may not be a lot of room for storage or a DVD burner for that matter, there are still work arounds. Video can be backed up directly to your personal computer, a USB thumb drive, or via FTP. After your computer gets the data, you can then burn CDs or DVDs from it.
16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR Good For Short Storage
Review by Hank Terry on Feb 21, 2013
Before I begin my review, I need to rant a bit about my rating. I like this DVR; absolutely, please don't get me wrong. However, the design behind it is directed a little bit toward the "specialty" side. I say this because to record 16 cameras at CIF continuously at 30 frames per second (at their highest quality) will easily use almost 1.5 Terabytes of storage space in 7 days so with a total maximum of 3 Terabytes you can only get 2 weeks of total recording before you have to rewrite. On the other hand, if you are only recording during motion detection for example, then this DVR can definitely suit your needs as the storage capacity will last much longer. The unfortunate side of the storage issue is that this model does not support eSATA storage where you could at least add external hard disk drives if needed. On the other hand this DVR records 16 cameras simultaneously for a "bare bones" price of less than $250 which is amazing. There's not a lot of video display options (just VGA and BNC) but for recording CIF resolution, VGA certainly suffices. Actually, you do have the option of recording all 16 channels at a maximum of D1 resolution but the frame rate will be reduced to 7 frames per second. The interesting thing here is that 16 channels at D1 and 7 fps actually uses less total storage than 16 channels at CIF and 30 fps. I guess what I'm trying to say is to make sure you know what your needs will be upfront, before purchasing your DVR. I like this one vary much and I am very impressed with the fact that it can still handle remote access through the Internet for such a "Mini Economy" machine. There is a lot of potential here. Use it wisely.

I had a few vandalism cases over the past several months, and I'm getting a little tired of it. I'm not sure if the person (people) creating these events are just looking to vandalize or are trying to break into the vehicles on my lot and steal them, but aren't succeeding. At any rate, I decided it was time to install a security camera surveillance system. I didn't really need anything fancy like audio recording, I just wanted to get video that would cover my building and all the units on my lot. I had a couple of local security and alarm companies come over and give me estimates to install a 16 camera system and wooo! were they high. Since no one had stolen anything or caused any major damage or even tried to brake into the dealership, it didn't seem very cost effective to pay that kind of money to install a security system. One day while at an auto auction I was speaking with another dealer and close friend and told him about my security situation. He recommended that I try Security Camera King, so I did. Security Camera King's 16 channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR is exactly what I needed. No muss, no fuss, no extra stuff! It took me about a week, but I installed the security system myself, figuring that it would be a good change from being in the office all the time. It was easy to install and the DVR works great. The DVR records on all 16 channels simultaneously at CIF resolution and at 30 frames per second real-time (listen to me, I sound like a pro..haha).We don't record during regular business hours but we do record when we are closed and most of our cameras are on motion detection to conserve video storage. I can even "pop in" and take a look at things from my Android when I am away from the premises using the DVRs remote access function via the Internet. I also have the DVR set to send me an e-mail in the evening if a camera detects a motion event as I don't live far from my business. The DVR records a crisp, high quality, color picture in daylight and just as clear a recording in black and white at night under infrared recording. I appreciate it when someone gives us comprehensive feedback on our products, especially if they are favorable, and I thought I would return the favor here.
16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR
Review by Luke Daniels on Jan 27, 2013
This is a very impressive product from Security Camera King. We need a DVR with more than 8 channels and one that we can use more for real-time monitoring that for video recording. The 16 Channel Elite Mini Economy series fit the ticket for us. Actually, I feel like we are getting a steal here. Not only do we benefit from this Mini series DVR in price because of our monitoring requirements taking president over our video recording needs but we can certainly get by at recording at a frame rate of 7 frames per second when we do record. That means we can bump the video recording resolution UP to D1 for all channels. In other words, since we can live with the slower frame rate, we save even more money by not having to purchase and Ultimate Series DVR at a higher price. But it's not like this DVR doesn't have any features either. As I said before we DO need it more fore monitoring than recording therefore we use both the VGA and the BNC full monitor outputs. We also use the Internet capabilities to operate and monitor the DVR from our personal computers and our smartphones. We've never had the need to archive or back up video files, but should the need occur, we'll make use of the USB options, especially the use of a USB thumb drive, to transfer the files to our computers where we can burn a DVD or CD if necessary. This DVR is an excellent alternative to the more expensive 16 channel DVRs out there on the market and we love it!
Makes A 16 Channel System Affordable For Home Use!

There are a lot of reviews on here that talk about the 16 channel DVRs being good for business applications. Well, 16 cameras may seem like a lot for home use, but if you have an irregularly shaped house, have a lot of property including a long driveway, and detached buildings like garages and shops, a 16 channel DVR is great for home use too! Security Camera King's 16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Real-time Security DVR makes especially makes this possible with its low price. Many times, an 8 channel system suffices for residential use, but there are also many instances when a residential application needs more than 8 channels but no more than 16. It makes sense to purchase this DVR and any of the cameras you need without purchasing an entire package as you may have no use for the extra cameras and supplies. This DVR may come with a low price tag, but Security Camera King ensures it's built to high quality standards. You can get a maximum display resolution at D1 (at 7 frames per second) on every channel simultaneously or CIF (at 30 frames per second or "real-time"). The small case doesn't have room for a DVD burner (which is seldom needed for home use anyway) but should the need arise to make a copy of some footage there are many ways to access it such as a USB thumb drive, USB hard drives, or even sending the data by FTP to your home computer. Also, I've found the storage capacity to be more than adequate, especially when I set the cameras to motion detection. It's a good unit with lots of features but don't count it out for residential as well as commercial use!
A Great Way to Get 16 Camera Recording While Maintaining a Conservative Price!

I'm writing to tell how pleased we are with the Security Camera King 16 Channel Elite Mini Economy Series H.264 Realtime Security DVR. We purchased this DVR with the maximum internal storage capacity (3 Terabytes) and it works just fine for us. We get well over a week of recording time on all 16 channels continuously, 24/7. For our purposes it is not necessary for us to maintain archived footage or copies of all cameras recording continuously; we only need to reproduce video footage in the course of certain events. We do this easily by recording onto our USB thumb drives. If the footage is lengthy enough however, that it exceeds the capacity of our thumb drives we record that footage by backing up the files to our computers' hard drives by using FTP. Needless to say, this doesn't happen very often. As for the DVR, it packs quite a "punch" for the price range that it is in. Not only does it record all 16 cameras simultaneously but it does so with a very high quality video display. Further, we've never had a systems crash or the video recordings freeze nor have we ever had to stop the DVR to reboot it. That's pretty impressive for all the activity that is going on inside the unit simultaneously. This unit also fits us well because although it records up to 16 cameras he have plenty of VGA monitors and we have no need for audio recording so we are not paying for something that we don't use. We do have the unit connected to our network and make use of the remote accessing feature through the network for several of our employees. It works well and we have never encountered any problems there either. Should you have potential customers that inquire about opinions from previous users, I would be glad to say that I would recommend this DVR to anyone that is looking for economy with quality, and has no use for some of the many other useful features of a full size unit.
16 Channel Elite Economy DVR - Hard on Performance, Soft on Price!

This is a great DVR. This unit makes a 16 channel system very affordable for the average residential family while still performing with a high degree of quality. Of course, this unit would be just as practical for commercial or business use too, but I personally bought this DVR for my home. I know many residential installations easily get by with just 4 or 8 channels DVR that primarily covers the exterior perimeter of the house and property. However, my property has a detached garage/workshop area and some irregular shaped areas to record, plus we wanted to install a couple of cameras inside the house and especially use one as a baby monitor. This DVR does all this vary nicely, and without costing an unaffordable price! The unit does have an audio channel and even two way audio if you need it. We use this on the baby monitor so we can hear and see the room when we monitor it. The DVR connects easily to our LCD TV using the VGA port and we run the audio separately to our bedroom. The DVR records CIF resolution on all 16 channels simultaneously and at 30 frames per second. That's what I call "Hard Performance!" Although it does not have a DVD writer or lots of room for internal storage we don't really need those options for our application at least, anyway. The DVR was easy to set up and to operate and Security Camera King even ships a USB mouse and an infrared remote control with the unit to control its On Screen Display menu system. The OSD is what basically sets up and controls everything and it is pretty easy to use - it only takes a few minutes to get used to learning what menus are where. We also like the remote access feature on this DVR. When I am on travel or we are away from the house we can "check in" on it using just our iPhone. It is a very good economy DVR and I highly recommend it.
Good economy unit! This 16 channel Elite mini economy series H.264 DVR really does the trick, and it does it with quality. This is a trimmed down model of Security Camera King's full 16 Channel Elite DVR. A lot of the extra features of the full model have been removed to provide inexpensive CIF 16 channel simultaneous 30 frames per second recording. At this price I think it makes the DVR affordable for residential as well as commercial applications. There are two display output options, standard security camera BNC connectors and a VGA connector. Most LCD TV/Monitors come with VGA connectors so it is relatively easy to fit this unit with a monitor. I've made copies of some of my recordings using a USB thumb drive and it works quickly and accurately. I just tranfer the files to my computer and burn a DVD, no special player for the computer and it is compatible with DVD players. One of the things I like the most about this unit is that even though it is an Economy series DVR it still offers remote accessibility via the Internet.
