This beats the heck out of using some big bulky "portable" monitor to use to adjust the cameras. My company recently purchased a 32 camera system from Security Camera King and asked me to install and set it up. I refused to do it unless they would allow in that purchase, enough money to purchase at least this wrist strap monitor. A laptop is too awkward and I knew they wouldn't part with the money for the more expensive testers either, but I'll be darn if I was going to be running back between cameras and the DVR monitor like some sort of mad hen. It worked really well and saved a lot of time. As a matter of fact, when I was ready to finish with the setup, I turned the main DVR monitor on and the cameras were awfully dark. But I remembered that when I set the cameras up using the LCD wrist monitor they appeared fine there. I was just beginning to look through the manual and the GUI on the DVR to find a way to lighten the DVR's output display when I realized that it wasn't the DVR at all. The monitor's brightness setting was down low for some reason. This little LCD gadget helped me figure that out and saved me even more time and hassle.

Inexpensive tool for adjusting cameras, without using a laptop

This is a nice rugged little LCD monitor. (I've inadvertently dropped mine a few times and it keeps on working). It's nice to have this whether you are a CCTV installer or even a do it yourselfer. You really need a portable monitor like this one if you are installing multiple camera systems, especially 16 and 32 camera or more systems. Try mounting a camera on a 30 foot pole, on a roof top, or some other challenging place without one of these. You'll mount the camera alright I'm sure, but you'll be guessing at positioning, focus, etc. Either that or it would be fun to watch you run back and forth to your DVR and monitor setup with each adjustment. Even if you are not a professional installer, if you buy a large system from Security Camera King and are installing it yourself, you'll be saving a lot of money so the money spent on this device will be well worth it. Remember though that power needs to be active to the camera when you use it.

Works great for aiming your camera. If your camera has an on screen display menu and its own controller joystick you can do that too.

If you install many CCTV security cameras you can't live without this thing. It works great, holds a charge for quite a while (time is based on use) and is pretty solid. I've dropped it a couple of time by mistake and it still keeps on working well. Having one of these monitors sure beats running back and forth to the DVR to check on your camera install. Try installing 32 cameras without one of these and you'll see what I mean.

I do various electrical work including installing digital video security systems. I decided to purchase this to see how it would work. The answer is Great! If you have a fairly long cable run, this can save you time running back and forth to the DVR or needing an assistant to set the camera up. If you have a lot of cameras to deal with or you frequently install systems this monitor is a must.

I actually own three different multi-camera digital video security systems myself. So I decided to purchase this to help me with installation and set up of all of my cameras. It works great! It's very convenient and time saving to have this strapped to your wrist to aim and setup your cameras. I would recommend this for anyone that has multiple systems or cameras. This could make 16 or 32 camera systems a lot easier to set-up and install.

This is very handy after running 450' of cable out to a camera.

This is an invaluable tool for camera installation.

With this, we're able to make sure our cameras are working and that our shots are right before we leave the field. Incredibly helpful.
