700 TVL Super High Resolution Day/Night Indoor Dome IR Security Camera

Security Camera King's ID-LX700IR50L2812-W is a great indoor dome that makes high quality video recordings and has lots of features that help you to get the best picture for your security application. I didn't think analog cameras went any higher than 700TVL but this camera actually created a color video at 700 TVL and a black and white video picture that tops off at 730TVL! The key to the great video quality is more than likely the Sony ExView HADII CCD with the Effio-E digital signal processor. Even though this chipset comes with an infrared camera mode and on board infrared LED illuminators that will give you a 50 to 60 foot range, it still has low light sensitivity of 0.001 Lux which I think helps reduce the presence of digital noise all the more. The camera has an On Screen Display menu system that offers quite an elaborate mix of video enhancement features including Adaptive Tone Reproduction. Adaptive Tone Reproduction is basically Sony's way of saying "wide dynamic range." There are many other useful features too. So far so good for us with this camera, and we hope it continues on this same performance path.
700TVL Super High Resolution Day/Night Indoor Dome IR Security Camera

This is a good offering from the folks at Security Camera King. The camera literally pushes the limits on analog camera resolution with its 700 TVL color and 730 TVL black and white resolutions. If you're looking for a camera that can provide a good color reproduction video recording, then a Sony ExView HAD II CCD with the Effio E digital signal processor is definitely a step in the right direction. The dome can be moved to just about any position once it is mounted so you can capture the precise area that you want. If that's not good enough, the camera also comes with a 2.8 to 12mm varifocal lens that will provide some limited zooming/narrowing capabilities. The camera has what I call a "standard" infrared mode operation, meaning that it can hit it's maximum range (based on the radiation provided by its on-board infrared LEDs) of approximately 50 feet. But it also comes with an extra feature. This extra feature is actually a dimmer switch that allows to either reduce the intensity of the infrared LEDs (preventing over exposure or wash out on very close objects) or it also give you the ability to turn of the IR LEDs altogether. Either way can work pretty well considering the camera has a minimum available light reading of 0.001 Lux! If that's not enough, you also get the benefit of an OSD menu that is controlled by an onboard button. The On Screen Display can provide you the means to adjust certain electronic features such as wide dynamic range, back light compensation Sense Up and more. I'd recommend it.
700 TVL Super High Resolution Day/Night Indoor Dome IR Security Camera

Nice camera! We get a great picture that is high quality and very clear. This Security Camera King camera is kind of like the "all around" dome camera. It comes with a lot of features for the price and they greatly enhance your ability to get the "perfect" shot. The 2.8 - 12mm varifocal lens is fairly easy to adjust and focus and does a great job. It allows you to go from a wide, overview shot to a tighter, zoom shot so you get just exactly what you want in the camera's field of view. The resolution, especially for an analog type camera, is impressive! I didn't think we'd ever see an analog type camera get any higher than 700 TVL (which is the resolution for this camera in color) but this camera can boost it a little further in black and white mode to a resolution of 730 TVL. And speaking of black and white, the infrared mode is actually as clear as or clearer than the color mode. The on-board infrared LEDs give you about a maximum of a 60 foot range (usually if you need more than that your in a concert hall or gymnasium or something) and it has manual "Smart" technology. Using the cameras dimmer control, you can decrease the intensity of the infrared LEDs so they don't wash out the subject with over illumination if it is too close. Or you can turn on the Sense Up and shut the LEDs off altogether. This will allow you to use the camera like a true day/night camera without the LEDs and maintaining color video recordings. The camera has pretty good minimum light sensitivity of only 0.001 LUX so you can get quite a bit of coverage with just a little ambient light. It also has an OSD that comes with Sony's Automatic Tone Reproduction (their way of saying Wide Dynamic Range), Digital Noise Reduction (important for those low-light shots), and back light compensation. About the only thing this camera is missing is an RS485 wire pair connection so you can work the OSD from your DVR.
