Our OB-LX700IR50-W is the weatherproof bullet version of our OD-LX700IR50-W. This is a very small bullet camera that can fit in the palm of your hand. But do not let the size fool you. Inside that little bullet housing is a Sony Super HAD II CCD with Enhanced Effio-E DSP and a 3.6mm fixed lens. This camera offers outstanding and wide angled overviews. The color reproduction of the Sony Effio DSP is unsurpassed and this camera is able to see up to 60'ft in complete darkness with the built in infrared LEDs. The LEDs will turn on automatically in low light. This camera also has an OSD that will allow you to configure a multitude of settings including Wide Dynamic Range, BLC, White Balance, night time sensitivity and much more.

I'm not sure you can beat this camera for the price. It mounts easy and produces a great, high resolution high quality recording. At a recording resolution of 700 TVL you can pick up some pretty good details. And, for a bullet camera, this camera is also pretty small and unnoticeable. The color reproduction is also excellent. The 3.6 mm fixed wide angle lens works well (although I wished it had a varifocal) and it works well in infrared mode too. I get the full 60 foot infrared range that is listed for this camera under my conditions. For a "basic" type camera at such an inexpensive price I was delighted to see that it has an On Screen Display menu that allows you to control many features, especially the wide dynamic range feature. Not a bad little bullet camera at all!
I don't want to say this camera is "cheap" because I think that can have a negative connotation, so I am going to say that this camera is a good "inexpensive" bullet camera. The camera is low in price and is pretty basic. For example it has a fixed 3.6mm wide angle lens and has an infrared range in total darkness of about 60 feet. But the most important thing for me is that the camera offers two great features for its low price. The first is the 700 TVL color resolution (black and white too for that matter). The camera captures a very impressive quality video that is fine in detail, clear, and color correct. The second is the fact that even though the price tag isn't that high on the camera, it still has an On Screen Display menu with several electronic features including wide dynamic range and back light compensation. If you are reading this because you are considering purchasing this Security Camera King bullet camera, you have a recommendation from me.
The picture on this camera is far better than the one that I bought it to replace and that's why I am returning to order 3 more. This is a great little bullet camera for the price. In fact, I don't think you could ask much more from a camera in this price range. The picture it captures is very high detail, clear and crisp, and the color looks about right. Although it has a fixed 3.6 mm lens, the picture is still pretty clear and undistorted. It's got that Sony Super Had II CCD sensor with the Effio-E digital signal processor which is a pretty high quality combination for such a low priced camera. I get about a 50 to 60 foot range in infrared mode in total darkness and the clarity of the video in this mode is just as good as day time except for the lack of color. This camera even has an On Screen Display (OSD) that can allow you to adjust the settings for several features. Some those features include shutter speed, white balance, back light compensation, motion detection, privacy regions, and even wide dynamic range (Sony calls it ATR I think). Overall, considering the price category that this camera is in, I'm impressed!

This is a great camera! I can't believe the quality of the picture for the low price! Then again, I should know better because it's hard to beat the quality of these Sony Super HAD II CCD sensors with the Effio-E digital signal processor (that was a mouthful, but they are a good combination that produces a quality video). The 3.6mm fixed lens isn't bad, I wouldn't expect a varifocal at this low of a price. The 700 TVL resolution really brings out the detail and even in infrared mode the black and white video is just as clear and detailed as the daytime color. I'm getting every bit of the 60 foot infrared range outdoors. The On Screen Display (OSD) is nice for setting the camera up. The wide dynamic range feature is pretty responsive and does a pretty good job of preventing foreshadowing from interfering. I'll keep buying these as I need them, can't beat the value!
