Our OB-EL700IR150L922 offers the best value in long range infrared. This bullet features a 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD DSP with an outstanding Enhanced Effio-E DSP which results in a great 700TV lines of resolution for a clear, crisp image. There is a 9-22mm Varifocal lens so that you can zoom in tight on those distant entrances and assets. This security camera is weatherproof so you can feel confident to mount it in almost any environment and it has a built in OSD (On Screen Display) which can be controlled from the camera itself or using RS485 to the back of your DVR. Our customers love being able to use RS485 for control of the OSD because once connected, it allows them to make changes to the configuration of the camera without needing to get up on a ladder with a test monitor. Now all configuration can be done from the DVR or even remotely over the internet. This is a great convenience and is not found on many bullet cameras. Additionally, this surveillance camera is Dual Voltage so it can be powered with either 12V DC or 24V AC allowing true flexibility.

I’ve owned this camera for just shy of a year now and I must say that I am thoroughly pleased with the quality of the video it produces and the over all performance of the camera. It’s got to be one of the best analog bullet cameras out there. To begin with, it has a Sony chipset that captures and processes the video. It works very well, maintaining the integrity of the video capture and keeping colors as accurate as possible. Next this camera has a 700 TVL color resolution lens. It does a good job at picking up detail and being able to produce a picture high enough in quality that you can easily identify individuals. If you want something higher yet in resolution, I believe you’ll have to move up to the IP megapixel network camera types. Next the varifocal lens is a big plus. Although it doesn’t got to an incredibly wide angle setting (minimum focal length is 9mm) it does go up to a fairly decent maximum focal length of 22 mm making it capable of zooming in on the shot. This can often prevent some conflicts whit other cameras when operating in infrared mode because the camera is incapable of illuminating outside the focal range. Not so here. This camera has a large 150 infrared which provide ample illumination for most shots ranging from far to near. The camera also has its own On Screen Display menu that allows to adjust many features and settings. We use it with our Security Camera King DVR and it allows to remotely operate the OSD from the DVR and even online through our computer. Finally, if you have the need it is dual voltage so it will work for both 12 VDC or 24 VAC power supplies.

This is a very nice camera. Security Camera King's long range bullet not only stretches the limit on the infrared mode range for bullet cameras but the lens in this camera has a more than average power zoom too. I've noticed during my on-line shopping that many of Security Camera King Cameras are constructed with the Sony Super HAD II CCD with a corresponding Sony digital signal processor and I like that because I have a tendency to favor this Sony combination. I've installed many security cameras and from experience I can tell you right away that those electronic components are good. Getting back to this camera in particular, the camera does have some powerful infrared LEDs stacking up at 36 8mm LEDS at 850nm. Collectively they create a fairly decent concentrated beam that has a solid range in total darkness of about 150 feet. That's nice because generally speaking, this range adequately satisfies the potential zooming range customers may use with the maximum 22m varifocal lens length. However, once again, this Sony chipset has an excellent non LED low light rating of 0.01 LUX so it is pretty light sensitive as well. The camera is a "standard" bullet mount; three screws and an exit hole for the video cable gets it done. It also has an OSD menu that can be controled from the camera itself or by an RS485 pair of wires from the DVR.

I can't honestly say I can see where this camera was made specifically for license plate capture applications but the camera is so versatile and has so many features that it certainly makes a good camera for that purpose. The Security Camera King OB-EL700IR150922 Bullet camera (that was a lengthy description, from now on I'm just going to refer to it as "the camera") has all the assets to make it a very viable license plate capture camera. First its basically got the maximum or close to the maximum offered these days in analog resolution so video recordings are clear, and detailed at 700 TVL. Also, it has a nice 9 to 22mm varifocal lens that allows you to adjust the shot appropriately. Starting out at a 9mm focal length, already eliminates the wide angle shot of 3.6mm or lower cameras and even varifocals and that's the last thing you need for license plate capture so the zoom capabilities are good. (If you have a controlled enough situation like a gate entry of parking lot entry you can almost narrow your shot to fall between the headlights or tail lights of the vehicle.) The camera has a good built in infrared system that is very strong (150 foot range) which is great for dark situations of if someone tries to enter at night without using their lights. overall the camera works very well for us for license plate capture and comes at a relatively cheap price considering that other specialty license plate cameras can easily come with a price tag of $300 or more. I'm sure if you are familiar with using security cameras to capture license plates you already know this, but in case you are new, I can't stress enough how important it is to find a place to mount this camera at a height as close to that of the license plates as possible. Don't mount this thing on a ceiling 20 feet up and expect to get good quality license plate capture results. It's a good camera, and I would highly recommend it.

Not to brag, but I own several different pieces of property in the area and have been using Security Camera King products with them for about 4 years now. I've never had a problem with Security Camera King and I'll tell ya, their support staff is absolutely great. They are willing to help you, not just because that's their job, but because )at least I think) because that's what they like to do. However, sometimes I have to sit and wonder if Security Camera King doesn't do things just to get me to pay a little more. This camera's a good example. They 've got some really good reasonably priced bullet cameras, and I especially like the 700 TVL Weatherproof Varifocal Dual Voltage IR Bullet Security Camera (OB-EL700IR100L2812) that currently sells for $159.95. It's a great camera and it has an infrared range of about 100 feet. Just when I'm happy with using it, they come out with this one that is very similar for $20 more but also gets an additional 50 feet (total of 150) on the infrared range. So, I'm in. They got me. See what I mean? It's a great bullet camera. Easy to mount, aim, set up and the whole bit. It has an OSD and all the features you need for a good recording. The lens is loaded with infrared LEDs surrounding it and I'd say that you couldn't fit any more than this there are so many, but I know the moment I say it, they'll come out with one that does. I recommend it and I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed by it.

I must admit this is another good product that I have purchased from Security Camera King. The OB-EL700IR150L922 bullet camera is a classic in it's own right. The 700 TVL resolution creates a beautiful picture for an "analog" camera at a most reasonable price. Like many of their other bullet cameras it comes with it's own mount ready to go, a sun visor shield, and zoom and focus control knobs on the back panel of the camera. Other than those two lens knobs and the visor knob, there are no external buttons. That must mean it doesn't have an OSD you say? Wrong. The pigtail on the camera has a BNC video connector, a power connecter, and an RS485 connector for connection the camera to the DVR so you can run the On Screen Display from the comfort of the DVR where, if you have a monitor, you can see the changes take place instantly. (You can even operate the OSD from the Internet.) It's also dual voltage so it makes a great "add on" camera for any system whether it is 12 VDC or 24 VAC. But a lot of that stuff you could consider "standard" I suppose. So what really makes this camera different? Well the camera has a 0.01 LUX operating light minimum as it is but it is also infrared and in addition to being infrared, it has a total darkness range of about 150 feet without any separate LED illuminators! This camera's lens is surrounded by 36 infrared LEDs that pump out the invisible light up to 150 feet so you do get a good long range with this camera at night. The pictures are clear too, not only in color but in black and white when in infrared mode.

It's funny how if you can get a hold of the right camera with the right features to adapt it to be a good license plate capture camera. This is one of them. We use this camera for license plate capture and with its 700 TVL color resolution and its 150 foot infrared LED range we can even see them coming at night. The 9 - 22 mm varifocal lens makes it possible to zoom in on the plate area as cars enter our parking area even though the camera isn't mounted "right at their back bumper" so to speak. WE operate the On Screen Display with the RS485 connection so we can make changes while we are at the DVR and see them instantly on our system monitor. It does a good job for us and it saved us from the expense of a $300 plus license plate capture camera so we definitely like it. I think you will too.

I'll say it right off the bat so you know it up front. The Security Camera King )B-EL700IR150L922 bullet camera is an excellent camera. The camera costs $20 more than the Security Camera King OB-EL700IR100L2812 camera but it offers a longer range in infrared mode and a different focal length range on the varifocal lens. The camera produces videos at 700 TVL of color resolution or black and white when operating in infrared mode at a rate of 30 frames per second, or "real time." The images or videos, whether they are in color or black and white are very sharp and detailed and of the highest quality for a 700 TVL camera. The 9 - 22 mm varifocal lens range gives you more of a zoom than the OB-EL700IR100L2812 camera but it also starts out tighter too. On the other hand to compensate for the longer zoom capability the built in infrared LEDs have a range of about 150 feet so you can see farther in total darkness. Although I don't really need it, the camera has dual voltage capabilities too (I just use the 12 VDC option). With the RS485 connection completed you can remotely control the camera's OSD from the DVR or even over the Internet using the PSS video management software with your Security Camera King DVR or by down loading the free Security Camera King apps for smartphones and tablets. It's a nice camera and you can tell it is built with solid integrity. You won't be disappointed, I certainly am not.

Excellent camera! When we were looking to put together our security camera system, we never initially considered this camera as a license plate capture camera. But when we saw it again on Security Camera King's license plate camera page we decided that we would give it a try. Now we're glad we did! I am the current president of our gated community's home owner association, and it was time to purchase a camera to capture license plates of cameras on entry and exit for the purpose of the security of our homeowners and their guests. Unfortunately, we do not have an immediate close area to mount the camera but are forced to mount it away from our gate. However, the advantage that we enjoy to this is that we can mount the camera directly center and head on to the approaching vehicle to get a good license plate capture. We also use a dome camera with a 3.6 mm fixed lens on the eave of the entry office to obtain an "overall" picture of the vehicle when it arrives at the gate. We are very satisfied with the performance of this camera and are glad that we added to our security camera system.

I like this camera, it works well and creates a clear, high resolution picture. I bought it as an additional camera. I have a Security Camera King system so the camera integrates well with it and I was able to run another pair of wires for this camera to operate the On Screen Display from my DVR (my last camera didn't have an OSD). Security Camera King does an excellent job of providing product descriptions, product specifications, and product pictures but sometimes all of that just isn't enough to be able to see how the camera actually works. I don't think you would be disappointed by this camera at all, but what I'd like to know is what the actual picture looks like compared to the Security Camera King bullet camera that sells for $20 more and has about the same features.

This camera is kind of short or compact in length compared to most bullet cameras but that doesn't mean it has less power! The lens is surrounded by 36 infrared LEDs that give this camera an infrared range in total darkness of 150 feet! We actually get every bit of that and probably a little more. And, if you need to extend that reach you can always add an illuminator. The camera also has an RS485 for remote control of the OSD from the DVR. Good Camera.
