8 Channel 720pHD-CVI DVR Mini Realtime
This DVR has amazing picture quality considering the price. Better yet, this recorder does 720p high definition recordings at 30 frames per second and is still cheaper than the 8 channel D1 recorder and I used my original RG59 coaxial cable. Granted the cameras are more expensive but they are definitely worth the enhanced picture quality. Even though this mini can only hold 1 internal hard disk drive you can max that out at 4 TB. It may not be the best choice if you plan to record continuously, but if you use motion detection recording, the on drive can last a long time before it is full. The DVR is easy to operate and has an On Screen Display (OSD) menu system that you use to configure or make adjustments for an array of features on different pages. I think one of the best advancements in video security technology is the ability to remotely access your system via the Internet. I appreciate the fact that Security Camera King makes the apps and software available to users for free to do so. Good product.

This can offer you a cheap upgrade to your existing lower resolution analog transmission system such as a 600 or 700 TVL D1 recording system. Considering that the DVR runs about $400 with a half way decent hard drive installed and the camera cost about $120 each, you can replace your current 8 channel old system with a new high definition system for less than $1400 and you don't have run any new cables! You may want to run some new cables if you want to readjust the camera's view, which you may want tot do because of the higher resolution coverage. My father and I replaced our store's system with this DVR and the cameras on one Sunday without too many difficulties. The only snag to that is that Security Camera King has an excellent technical support team, but they are only available Monday through Friday and not on weekends. That was no big deal for our installation, we went ahead and followed through with completion and called them that Monday with our questions, which I must admit were addressed completely and right away. The 720p resolution is a huge jump up from our old system and we like it. The detail is impressive. The cameras work well and so does the recorder. if you are an amateur installer (a do-it-yourselfer I guess like us) you may find the DVRs instructions a little weak. They list one things do, but they don't really explain things to newbies. If that is an issue, Security Camera King has provided a lot of information on their website and their support staff is good.

Great recorder at a great price. Makes excellent quality video recordings with high resolution (definition) output. User menu is easy to navigate and the price is excellent!

All I can say is Wow! This HD-CVI DVR is affordable enough for me to be able to use high definition security video recording around my home. The 8 channel capacity gives my plenty of room for cameras to give me the complete coverage I need and the price for the cameras and DVR from Security Camera King are the most competitive that I have seen in the market (to be honest, I haven't seen a lot of HD-CVI equipment out yet).
I ordered my equipment on line using my VISA card and received everything within about 4 days. Everything was packaged properly and in perfect condition. No damage during transit. I installed everything myself (except I ordered the 3 TB internal hard drive from Security Camera King and they installed it for me for free). I run all the cameras at 720p resolution and the videos are great. I even used the two way audio for a sort of monitor at the front door. The large internal hard drive actually cost more than the unit itself but it is worth it to have plenty of storage space for the high resolution video footage. I just hope the drive lasts longer than what some of my computer hard drives have in the past. The remote access function using my Galaxy 4 works great. I downloaded the app and the computer software and can actually monitor my system at work on my computer or anywhere using my phone. What more could I ask for?
