Protect your valuable investment by installing lightning surge protectors at each end of your coax cable.
Works great. I have to do a couple of outdoor long cable runs and I have protected them with these surge protectors and have never had a complaint from a customer.

We have a Security Camera King security camera and surveillance system with 4 cameras mounted outdoors in our parking lot in wide open space. Recently we had quite a thunderstorm with lots of cloud to ground lightning and two of our cameras' internal boards were fried. When we replaced the cameras we bought these as well. One for each end of the cable run. I don't know if we've had any more hits, but so far so good. A short note of information: These ONLY work if you purchase them and install them BEFORE you need them. :)

I doubt these could handle a direct hit, but I put them on my outside line to my garage for protection anyway. So far so good. I guess the only way I'll no if they don't work is if they fail...lol.

I have had one too many things be destroyed in the past by lightening (apparently we are in some sort of vulnerable location), so I purchased two of these for each camera cable run and installed one at each end of the cable. I haven't had a hit yet, and I hope I won't ever, but just in case, I now feel like my digital video security system is protected.

We own a large outdoor parking lot and we have several camera that blanket the area. These camera are attached to light poles which are fairly high in the air. We've had other items destroyed by the frequent lightning we get here, so I purchased two of these for each of the parking lots 4 cameras. Though I can't say exactly how good their performance is (I haven't seen the poles they're on get hit by lightning yet) I can say that they do not interfere with the signal and seem to be able to work when the time comes, especially with one on each end of the cable.

We installed these on our new outdoor cameras on our barn and tool sheds after lightning took out some of our other electrical equipment. They're definitely worth the investment. The only problem is, you don't realize how important they are until you need them. Then it's too late.

I really wish that I had this before I had a lightning strike my camera lines.
