This system includes everything you will need to install this 16 Channel Elite Series Surveillance System. This system doesn't come with a VGA monitor, although you will need a monitor during the initial install of the system, once the install is complete the monitor can be removed, as it's not required for normal operation of the system.
If you need to purchase a monitor, we offer a wide assortment of monitors. Click Here
Our Elite Series DVR comes embedded with a version of Linux OS and also features H.264 compression, remote monitoring from anywhere in world via Internet Explorer and audio recording on all channels. This isn't a PC based DVR, which could be hacked or could be infected with computer viruses. This is a standalone DVR; built for one purpose only; to provide you with the best quality video surveillance possible..
Our Elite Series DVR comes equipped with BNC, HDMI and VGA video outputs, which allows you to operate several monitors at the same time. The DVR also features a Matrix Output, which allows you to program a different monitor to display a different set of cameras. Our Elite Series DVR also features at built-in loop, which gives you the ability to view a single camera on its own monitor. Also, every channel has its own BNC output.
The Elite Series utilizes H.264 hardware compression to bring you great quality video while maximizing your hard disk storage capacity. This DVR is capable of recording CIF resolution on all channels at 30fps and D1 resolution on all channels at 7fps simultaneously.
Our Elite Series DVR is very easy to setup and operate. Our DVR comes with a very easy mouse-driven interface, which give you a very simple point-and-click control of every feature and setting within the DVR. The DVR also comes with an IR remote. The Elite Series DVR features a Jog Dial, which gives you the ability to rewind, fast forward and advance footage frame by frame. You have the ability to playback up to 16 channels at the same time at the DVR and you can playback up to 4 channels at the DVR with our client software or smart phone application.
The Elite Series DVR features a built-in Web Server, which allows you to remotely access your DVR from anywhere in the world via the internet or with our smart phone application. Our included client software allows you to monitor several Elite Series DVRs all at the same time. The DVR also features Two-Way audio, which allows you to not only hear everything that's going on, but you can also communicate and interact with everyone as well! The DVR also supports Dynamic DNS support, which means you don't need a static IP address to connect to your DVR remotely. This feature saves you money, because most ISPs (Internet Service Providers) charge an additional fee for static IP addresses. The Elite Series DVR can support up to 10 internet or network users simultaneously.
If you're always on the go and not around a computer, or you just don't have the time to sit down and login into your DVR remotely, then this next features for you. You can configure your DVR to send you e-mail updates! All you need is a standard POP e-mail and then configure the DVR to send you updates directly to the e-mail. Since most people have their e-mail sent directly to their smart phones, you will always be in contact with your DVR.
You will never run into storage issues with the Elite Series DVR. The Elite Series DVR can hold up to 4 SATA hard drives with no DVD burner or the DVR can hold up to 3 hard drives and one DVD burner. Either way you chose to set it up, you will have plenty of storage space for all of your footage. The DVR also supports eSATA, which means you can connect an external eSATA hard drive and backup your footage. The Elite Series DVR also supports RAID hard drive management, which is an excellent way to keep your data safe in case you experience hard drive failure. You can also perform FTP backup and recording as well.
Video can be backed up to a DVD-RW or a USB thumb drive for safe keeping or in the event that you must give the footage to the police. Video can also be saved right on your PC for easy access.
The easy 3D mouse operated PTZ control allows you to control any PTZ camera. Just click on the screen and drag your mouse around. The PTZ camera follows the mouse pointer so you can smoothly and accurately follow any objects of interest.
This system runs on a rock solid Linux embedded OS, with embedded web server, and digital signal processors to bring you the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. This high end system will provide you with everything you need other than a monitor. If you tie the system into your network, you wont even need a monitor to view your DVR.

Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package
Review by Paul L. on Apr 30, 2013
This is an excellent full size CIF real-time security camera package. However we did upgrade the package to include the 8 Terabyte hard disk drive and a DVD burner plus we upgrade the cameras to the 700 TVL Varifocal (OD-LX700IR100L2812) cameras. For do-it-yourselfers like us, this system was easy to install. The cameras mount easily with the four included screws (which also contain anchors if you need them). The cameras' zoom and focus are easily adjusted once they are mounted by using a small screwdriver to turn the recessed screws on the outside of the camera case. There is one screw on one side for the zoom adjustments and another on the opposite side for the focus adjustment. The camera comes with an On Screen Display (OS) menu system that allows you to adjust many electronic features using the built in joystick button located on the camera's video cable. The camera features alone are amazing. This is not a comprehensive list, but here are just some of the items that can be adjusted using the OSD: Exposure, including back light compensation, wide dynamic range, automatic gain control digital noise reduction, color including different hue ranges, day/night mode, mirror, sharpness, monitor, gama, an LSC functions, motion detection with sensitivity settings ranging from 1 -30, 4 areas of selection, hold time, an alarm, privacy masks, choice of actual color display of the OSD, camera ID from 0 -255, communication baud rate from 2400 to 19200 bps, and several different display languages. Finally, the camera has built in infrared LEDs that give the camera an infrared range of about 100 feet in total darkness.
As for the DVR it is even more amazing than the camera. It comes with 3 simultaneous display options, in other words you can use three full display monitors at the same time using HDMI, VGA, and BNC connections plus you make use of the video matrix output that allows you to designate a specific monitor to display a specific set of cameras. If that's not enough, each camera has a BNC loop out connection so you can hook up a spot monitor if needed. This DVR records all channels at CIF at 30 frames per second and can record channels 1 and 9 at D1 at 30 frames per second. The VR also has an OSD which can be controlled by the buttons of the front panel, the included USB mouse or the included infrared remote control. The DVR can also record up to 16 channels of audio and except up to 16 channels of alarm inputs. It can be programmed so that motion detection of a camera can set off and external alarm device or and external alarm sensor can initiate the recording of a camera. There is also privacy masking, a one channel lock out where you can black out one channel from monitoring view but still record it and so many other useful features. This unit also has full Internet remote capability. You can actually control it remotely or monitor the cameras using a personal computer, iPad, or smartphone. In addition, you can have the DVR send you e-mails to alert you when recording for a camera with motion detection has been initiated. If you need to make copies or back up files you can purchase a DVD burner (we had ours installed at the time of purchase by Security Camera King). Our rating for this package as we configure it is definitely five stars.
Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package

Security Camera King, I've got to go with a five star rating on your (mine now) Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package. I'm a small business owner but have a moderately sized retail store and I need the protection of a security camera system both for periods when I am open and when I am not. I got a couple estimates on having a 16 camera system installed by a professional security camera company (both of them are national) and I couldn't believe the numbers they gave me. I talked to my son one weekend when he and his wife came over to visit, and he said he had one at home that he purchased from you and installed himself and would be willing to help me install one for my business. So he became my advisor and we looked at the systems on your website and I settled on this one. When I placed the order I received it within just a few days; I really didn't expect it to arrive that fast. If anyone were to ask me if I would recommend your system my answer would be a definite "Yes" especially considering the prices I was quoted to have systems installed by others. Although the DVR records all channels in this system at a CIF resolution at 30 frames per second, I am perfectly satisfied with the 7 frame per second rate for my use and I use the D1 setting instead. (At my age the way my eyes are, the bigger the better and the more detail the better). It took my son and I a few days to get the system completely installed and to get all the cameras set exactly the way I wanted them. Probably the longest amount of time was spent on running the cables and aiming the cameras (when two people do this, you can do it rather quickly and easily by using two-way radios). The On Screen Display was totally foreign to me as I am not much of a computer person, but my sun said it was almost exactly like his and walked me through using it. By the time I finished adjusting the settings for the 16th camera, I knew how to use the system well myself. It seems as if you thought of just about everything in your design of the DVR. I've never owned a "smartphone" but after my son showed me how you could remotely view the cameras on his, I've decided to get one so I can monitor my system when I am not at the store. It's a good product and I like the ay everything works.

This is one of the better CIF resolution realtime display security systems on the market. The dome cameras work well, including during their infrared modes. I don't always quite get the full 50 feet range they are listed at, but it is very close. The cameras are all 3.6 mm lens wide angle cameras and everything on them is automatic (no OSD). But, their displays are very clear, detailed, and color true. I think the biggest advantage with this system over the smaller "Mini Economy" system is that it had more space for additional internal hard drive storage, you can have a DVD burner installed, and it can record up to 16 channels of audio. If you want to, you can even use the alarm hookups that the DVR has. It can turn on alarm devices that use 12 VDC. The video options are very good too. You can actually have three full monitors working simultaneously if you like by using the HDMI, VGA, and BNC connections. The DVR also gives you the option of video matrixing and loopouts for spot monitors. This system produces good quality video recordings and it does have a very good remote access and Internet e-mail notification options. The cameras, power supply, DVR and other components were easy to install. Two things you may need if you are a do it your self kind of person and that is a portable monitor for setting up the cameras and some cable clips or clamps to attach the cables to walls and ceilings.

Well I've owned the Security Camera King 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Package for about 6 months now, and after getting over some initial hurdles everything seems to be running smoothly. It's not easy to write a review on a product like this when you are not an experienced security camera professional because you really don't have much to compare it to (unless you've owned other systems in the past). I don't mean to be over critical but when you are a novice with security camera systems this may make some difference to you. Although the title says this system is a "complete" system it doesn't include a couple of things. First is the monitor, which it says up front so I have no qualms with that. But unless you have a special situation, I think you are going to need to fasten your cables to something somewhere eventually, to have a neat installation and the kit doesn't come with anything for that. In fact, I don't think Security Camera King even sells cable fasteners. I know they can be purchased at hardware stores or home stores but I was expecting to have a "Complete" system. Also, if you intend to record audio, you'll have to purchase microphones separately too. Although the DVR comes with alarm inputs and outputs if you want to use that feature you have to purchase the wire, triggers, and devices all separately as well. Now considering all that, I have been able to find other systems after I made my purchase that were a lot cheaper, but I have to admit I don't know if they stack up to the same quality as Security Camera King equipment (maybe the burn-out after 6 months or something). We'll see what happens. If my system continues to work without any hassles and I can remember, I may be back in a year or so to update my rating. For now, I'll give it three stars because it's not bad, but at this point I'm not overly impressed either.

The Security Camera King Elite DVR Security Camera Package is easy to install, and easy to operate. The 600 TVL cameras do a good job of producing a clear, sharp color video recording. I use several of the audio input channels with my cameras and record audio and video on those same channels. I have also utilized the alarm inputs/outputs feature and you can even set a camera for motion detection and if it detects, you can set of an alarm device (like a siren for example). I also use 3 different monitoring options using the HDMI, VGA, and the Video matrixing outputs. The DVR does a good job of recording D1 resolution on channels 1 and 9, which compared to many other systems, especially older ones, the picture is actually larger and finer in detail. The On Screen Display menu was a "new environment" for me but between using the manual and the intuitive interface I was able to find everything I needed to get set up. Later I played around with the menu settings just to see what some of them would do and this got me real familiar with the OSD. Finally, I use all the Internet related features too and they work great.
Security Camera King's Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package is a nice "package deal" price for the components that you need to set up your own 16 channel security camera system. I have two complaints about the system overall. I wanted to order 14 of the regular 600 TVL cameras and two different cameras (bullet cameras). As soon as you click on "Upgrade This Package" you are redirected to the Custom Built Security Camera System page where you must input all the components of your system, including all 16 cameras. That is a bit picky I know, but it is tedious. The other issue I have is that I would like to see some security camera package deals that include the monitor. Not every one has a spare monitor to use or doesn't use one at all and if I'm going to purchase the system and have it shipped to me I would prefer to get EVERYTHING at once. Also, Security Camera King's monitors seem a little pricey so I feel compelled to have to go out to a separate retailer (like Wal-Mart or Best Buy) and by the monitor. Other than that, I can't say enough good things about this system. There are so many features and options that it really is very versatile in use. Not only that but the additional features that come with the DVR are not easy to find on other different brands of equipment. The quality seems exceptional. Also, thank you for including the USB mouse and the infrared remote control with the DVR!
Security Camera King Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package - Comparisons

If you are doing some e-shopping and/or regular shopping for a 16 channel DVR system package that can record CIF resolution for all cameras at 30 frames per second (real time), let me save you some time. Buy this one. You'll find systems much, much cheaper than this, especially on the Internet, but if you examine them closely, you'll realize they really aren't the same in one or more aspects. For example I found some as low as about $500, but when I started to compare these cheaper package deals there were several differences like:
Security Camera King included:
1. Cable and wires; theirs' didn't
2. Camera with a 600 TVL color resolution; theirs' was often 420 or 480 TVL
3. Cameras with dual function day/night infrared with built in IR LEDs with a solid 60 to 100 foot range or more depending on the camera type; theirs' were less or didn't list the range
4. A DVR with plenty of storage capacity; often theirs' was fixed at 1 or 2 Terabytes, max.
5. A DVR with a three year warranty; theirs' with a 1 year, 90 day, or no warranty
6. A support team willing to help amateurs and professionals alike, theirs (what is a support team?)
7. A 16 channel system with 16 cameras; theirs' often only had eight cameras
8. A detailed description of the product as well as product specifications; theirs' one or two sentences about it
And there are many more. This system is a complete, high quality system. The only things you will need to complete the installation of this system is the standard tools and cable attachment hardware which varies from one situation to another and is easily obtained at a hardware or home improvement store. The cameras on my unit work great and so does the DVR. The quality is beyond anything I have seen displayed in department or electronic stores. Bottom dollar is know what you are buying (oh and if you haven't bought a system yet but still have questions about it, Security Camera King's support or sales people will be glad to help you and answer your questions). When I need anything else related to security cameras, as the saying goes, "I'll be back."
This System Can Help Prevent You From Falling Off Your Fiscal Cliff!

Review by Harvey Sloan on Dec 13, 2012
A couple of years from now, no one will probably understand what I'm talking about. However, right now the big news item is whether the government will "fall off the fiscal cliff." Well if you want a quality security camera system that includes just about everything you need but don't want it to "push you off the fiscal cliff" this is a good one to choose. I got a couple estimates from companies that sell and install 16 channel security camera systems and the prices were outrageous compared to the price of this system. So I decided to purchase this system and install it myself and save some money. It was easy to install although it took me about two days but I saved literally thousands of dollars! If you can operate a drill or screwdriver or change a light bulb, you should be able to install this system. This full size Elite DVR does an excellent job of recording all 16 cameras simultaneously at CIF resolution. Speaking of cameras, the 600 TVL cameras work well for the cost too. If you need a higher resolution camera or want a varifocal lens you will have to bump upgrade and bump up the price but the ones that come with the system do a pretty good job. They also automatically switch to infrared mode when there isn't enough light for normal operation. Enough can't be said about the DVR. There are so many features and options that I couldn't mention all of them here, but I can say the DVR records high quality color videos and it does it with ease. I've never had a lock up, crash, or had to reboot the system and it's been on continuously since I installed it. The full size Elite DVR has room for extra internal drives and/or a DVD burner so you may even want to adjust the recording settings to a larger resolution recording (D1!) by sacrificing frame rate. It's an excellent system and installing the system yourself can safe you a TON of money!
I Highly Recommend The Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package

I recently installed the Security Camera King Complete 16 Channel Elite DVR Security Camera Package in my relatively new store. The entire system was easy to install and the package included just about everything I needed to do the job except the tools. I also bought some extras from Security Camera King like four microphones, some tools, etc. They all arrived in one shipment on the same day just a couple of days after I placed the order. I immediately went to work installing the system and I have to admit, not only was it easy but it was actually rather enjoyable. If you are new to this kind of thing I can tell you that mounting the cameras is incredibly easy. However, adjusting the cameras and aiming them is a little more involved and depending on your situation, the real bulk of the job is running the cables/wires. If you need to make holes through walls, make sure you purchase a special long bit for your drill at your local home improvement store so you'll be ready when your system arrives. The Elite DVR records CIF resolution on every channel simultaneously with D1 capability on two channels, all at 30 frames per second (real time motion). We use the D1 channels in two areas where we feel the larger display would be appropriate for us. After setting up the system and getting used to it and the DVR menus, I also decided to purchase some wire and other items to set up an alarm system on the DVR as well. The DVR is capable of having a lot of storage capacity including 4 extra internal drives if you don't choose the DVD burner option (3 drives if you do). Not only can the DVR record 16 channels at once but it can also play back 16 channels at once too. I'm fully satisfied.
