Complete 32 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package
Review by Spriggel, Brett (Georgia USA) on Apr 03, 2014
Unpacking all this equipment is about a half a day's undertaking. But I'm telling you right now that if you have the capability to install a 32 camera package system like this yourself, YOU WILL SAVE THOUSANDS! I highly doubt you'll do it in a day or even two, but you will definitely save a boat load in installation fees. Everything you need is included in the package to install the system with the exception of the tools and something to hold down or attach any wires/cables to. As for the equipment, the 700TVL cameras work great! I can't believe the quality of the video image we get out of these and they do a fine job of giving us the monitoring cover age and protection we need. The DVR is even that much more amazing considering the fact that it is able to keep track of recording all 32 cameras at D1 resolution and 30 frames per second, plus playback, back up, and even handle simultaneous remote users from a variety of Internet ready devices. There's no need to worry about the quality of this equipment, as far as we are concerned it is the best. The technical support department at Security Camera King is top notch too and if you need any help they will be more than willing to give it. Good equipment. Good people. Good Company.

I’m an independent grocer and I recently relocated my business to a new building. I’m one of those “all hands on” type kind of businessmen and I do a lot, and I mean a lot of the work in my stores myself to save money and maintain my profit margins. That includes installing this new 32 channel Ultimate system. I upgraded my cameras to 700 TVL resolution and I have to say that I think my 700TVL cameras with D1 resolution recording is almost as good as 720p high definition video. Obviously, I am pleased with the performance and operation of my system. I have full and complete coverage of my entire store including inside and out, and I figure I probably saved at least $10,000 by installing it myself. I would highly recommend this package system, especially to do it yourself customers that require an extensive 32 camera security system. The DVR has so many functions that it really is my security headquarters instead of just a video recorder. With video and sound recording possible, two way audio, and alarm inputs and outputs, there is a lot that I have been able to do with this setup. I have no complaints about the equipment whatsoever. The instruction manuals are lacking somewhat, but I’ll give Security Camera King credit for making up for that by the information material they make available to you on this website. In addition, they do have a very “top-notch” technical support group that is very cordial, knows their equipment, and wants to help you with your problems. I would recommend this system and Security Camera King to both myy business and personal contacts in the future.

For some reason (according to the local news), New Year's brought more partying and more store burglaries with it this year (I have no idea why). But after reading the statistics n the news and seeing the reports I decided that it was about time I finally put one in my store. I have a monitored alarm system, but I am beginning to think that that is not enough. After getting soaked by the alarm installer I decided to give it a go at installing this system after seeing Security Camera Kings website. All I needed was a tall ladder but I have a forklift in the warehouse that has a "man cage" on it so I used that instead. I'm glad I ordered bulk wire and connectors because the plug and play cables wouldn't really have worked very well for me. I also upgraded my cameras to 700TVL, ordered multiple internal hard disk drives, and an internal DVD player. I figured with the money I was saving on installation I could afford those amenities.

Installation wasn't bad and I had a couple of the guys help me so it was even easier. The cameras work great and so does the DVR. I got fancy and used some of the options I wasn't sure I would be able to install correctly, but that went well too. I used the two way audio with one of my cameras between the warehouse and the office. I also used some of the alarms and tied them in with the cameras. I'm using all three video outputs (HDMI, VGA, and BNC) plus a spot. The DVR is plugged into the Internet and I get great remote access on my iPhone. I did need a little help during the setup process, although the On Screen Display itself is pretty easy to navigate. I contacted the Security Camera King support and they were more than willing to help; in fact they wouldn't let me off the hook until I assured them I was satisfied with everything. Excellent product and excellent service well deserving of five stars!

We had a few estimates from local companies on the cost of installing a 32 camera system similar to the one that Security Camera King offers here. The cost of the system and installation estimates were between $9,000 and $11,000 dollars. Not that it is not worth it because that is a lot of work, especially running the cable, but we have our own maintenance team that can do that work for us and save us the installation charges. So, at a recent staff meeting, I made the suggestion we install the system ourselves and save a lot of money. Thirty two camera video security systems are not easy to come by around here, I mean it's not like there are lots of Video Security Stores that you can just walk into and make the purchases you need from. We could have purchased the cameras from local installers but they were pushing hard sales for items we didn't need and we felt certain they were adding a serious mark up. So I did some research on the Internet and talked to several people and we settled on Security Camera King and this 32 channel Ultimate package system. The system inlcuded just about everything we needed and our guys did an excellent job installing it with Security Camera King's support staff's help. Considering the cost of the system and supplies and our employees' wages, I estimated that we saved at least $3,000 on this project. I'm happy to report that the system is up and running and it works great. If anyone is looking for a reference for Security Camera King and their products, I am h appy to oblige.

I've installed many of these 32 channel Ultimate system packages for my customers and they love them. I haven't had one complaint or failure in over three years. Security Camera King and the Internet have made ordering and stocking equipment a very easy task, but I will say one thing that purchasing from the Internet lacks--that is the ability to express or convey the quality of the equipment that is being purchased. Collectively you could easily find a cheaper 32 camera set up elsewhere and for a lesser price, but I must tell you that I don't think you find a 32 camera setup comparable to this one in QUALITY for a lesser price. This equipment is good sound electronics that does an excellent job and has many optional features (both physical and electronic) that make it very versatile in application. Whether you are a professional CCTV installer or a do it your selfer, Security Camera King has the best technical support department I have ever encountered and if they can't help you through an obstacle, I'm confident that it can't be done. Top rating from me.

Review by Bradley Gregory, Galaxy Independent Grocery Assoc. on Jul 24, 2013
I have worked in the retail grocery business for many years. I finally have the chance to realize my dream owning my own grocery store. As a manager with several years experience, I know that security and protection is important for maintaining my profit margin. So recently, I purchased the Security Camera King Complete 32 Channel DVR Ultimate Security Camera Package and installed the entire system myself. I feel that the price I paid for the system was reasonable, the quality of the equipment is superior, and you have a very helpful and knowledgeable technical support staff. I saved THOUSANDS of dollars installing the system myself in the late evenings and it wasn't very difficult.

I chose several upgrades or options for my system including extra internal hard drives, the internal DVD burner, upgraded all my cameras to the 700TVL varifocal 100 foot infrared range cameras, and ordered extra Siamese cable because I had several log cable runs. I read through the other reviews before maki9ng my selection and I decided to purchase a test monitor for setting up the cameras; am I glad I did! I figured with all the money I saved on installation the cost of the portable test monitor would be worth it and I could only imagine how frustrating it would have been running up and down ladders and back and forth to the DVR to adjust and aim all 32 cameras!

The installation went rather smoothly. Cabling was easy since my building is a steel frame construction with a drop ceiling so all I had to do was pull ceiling panels run all the cables and then replace the panels. I use all three external monitor options. I use the HDMI video output for the monitor in my office, the VGAS monitor output for the monitor for the employees that work behind the counter at the customer service desk, and the BNC monitor which is on display at the front of the store to let our patrons know we use a security camera system.

The D1 resolution recording is very clear and large and I have already burned DVDs for the police for two separate alleged shoplifting charges. The local police are impressed with the quality and clarity of the recordings. I am very satisfied with the overall performance of the system. Should you ever need to use me as a reference, please feel free to do so, you have my contact information.

I've been installing security camera systems in the St. Louis metropolitan area for about 15 years now. As of the past four years, I've been dealing almost solely with Security Camera King for most of my equipment and supplies. I've had many different customers ranging from single residential to large commercial accounts. As far as the large commercial accounts are concerned, I have probably installed at least 12 or more of these 32 channel Ultimate package systems and my customers have never had a complaint (that goes back a few years when the cameras included with this system were only 420 TVL resolution!). You really can't find a better deal anywhere that can match the quality and performance of this Security Camera King package system. Often times we'll find that a customer that is large enough to require a 32 camera system will also have special camera needs so it is convenient to be able to custom build the package in that regard. The cameras are easy to mount (if you can hang a picture frame you can install the cameras). Nine times out of ten the most difficult portion of the install is the cabling. The DVR is a digital powerhouse, packed with all kinds of features and options that can be tailor adjusted to fit each situation or customer's need. The multiple display option is very helpful. For example, I have a grocery store that has the DVR located within a lockbox in the main office which is directly off of the customer service counter. In addition to the main monitor with the DVR in the office, we have a video matrix display on a hanging monitor in the customer service area, in hopes of deterring any theft. The remote access is always a likeable feature and customers seem to use it regularly. The video recording produced by this system are clear, sharp, and color correct and our very smooth (we set the DVR to record at 30 frames per second in D1 resolution). I'm not sure how much more you could ask out of a system.

This Security Camera King 32 camera Ultimate Package system is a nice multi-camera “enterprise” level type package. If you install this system yourself, I bet you’ll save at least $5000 to $7000 minimum, versus paying to have it installed. (I think a more realistic figure would be around $10,000 to $20,000 but I was trying to be conservative). That being said, and at the risk of sounding like a salesman, I would recommend that you upgrade all of your cameras to the 700TVL varifocal lens cameras. You’ll like the details of the thigh resolution, especially when recorded at a D1 resolution, and the flexibility the varifocal lens and OSD (On Screen Display) menu give you. On the other hand, if you are going to install this system by yourself (alone) without a portable monitor, good luck! It’s pretty tiring and takes a long time to keep running up and down ladders and back and forth to adjust and aim the cameras without a portable monitor or at least a second person to help. The DVR unit works great. We record audio on a few channels and it d0es a good job maintaining quality video recording while integrating audio recording with it. These DVRs are actually designed so you can use them as “Security control Centers’ somewhat. They also have 16 alarm inputs and 5 channels of alarm outputs (12 VDC relay) and the alarms can be integrated with the camera operation or to initiate totally separate devices. Meanwhile, you are not confined to one main monitor either. In our case, we use all three monitor output options, HDMI, VGA, and BNC. The HDMI has the added convenience of carrying sound so if you have a monitor with speakers or a newer LCD TV/monitor you can watch the video and listen to the audio through the same device. The DVR unit itself is 2U rack mountable and is large enough to support additional internal hard drives and/or a DVD burner. It can also use external “eSATA” hard drives and that’s good because if you were to record all 32 cameras simultaneously and continuously, 24/7, it would take about 8 Terabytes of storage for seven days of recording. My big favorite (as I imagine is also the favorite of many that own this system) is the remote access you can gain by using the Internet. All you have to do is plug the DVR into an Internet connection using a CAT5E cable and then follow the set up instructions (or call Security Camera King’s support staff for help) so you can eventually set it up to be accessed by your smartphone or a personal computer. You can even set the DVR up to e-mail you if a camera detects motion so you can monitor it as soon as you receive the notification. Finally, I’m no professional CCTV installer (although I liked paying one for a few days considering all the money I saved) so I had a couple of stumbling points with the set up of our system. Security Camera King’s support department did an excellent job of addressing my needs and helped get me up and running fast. Those guys know their business, and I don’t think there is a security camera question that is too difficult for them. As you can tell, I’m a satisfied customer.

I own a large jewelry store in a large metropolitan area and I have recently leased additional space to expand the my store. My son takes care of all the construction and maintenance related jobs for me and agreed to install the a security system if I chose the one I wanted and purchased it. I need good coverage on my merchandise, my counters, my registers, front, back, and side entrances and my parking lot. By the time I considered where the cameras should be placed and how they should be placed It left me with no other choice than to purchase a 32 channel system. For me a DVD burner was a must so I ordered that and additional internal hard drives for storage as well. The cameras work well and they provide a good overview shot at each position. They do a good job of capturing a clear concise image in black and white under infrared conditions too. I believe after using this system for a few months I may order a few specialty cameras to use in place of a few of the standard domes. The DVR is like a computer, a very fast and efficient computer. It can handle the recording of all 32 cameras at D1 at 30 frames per second with no problem, and still carry on other tasks such as audio recording, alarms, displays, and so on. My son said that the system was easy to install, but did take some time with all 32 cameras and two monitors. I feel better about the system knowing that the DVR comes with a full 3 year warranty. I would recommend this system to friends and other people that would be interested in a 32 camera system. It works very well.
