IP cameras offer many benefits over standard CCTV cameras. Our IP network security cameras are capable of recording video at a much higher resolution than any CCTV security cameras currently available on the market. Megapixel IP security cameras are different from CCTV security cameras because they are network devices themselves. A Typical CCTV camera must be connected to a DVR and the DVR is the network device that allows remote access to the cameras. The size of the recorded image is therefore dependent upon the resources of the DVR. The best DVRs in the industry can record a maximum of D1 resolution in real time (Like our Ultimate Series DVR). D1 resolution is 720x480 pixels. This represents the maximum dimensions of the native image that is being recorded from your security cameras. Our Megapixel security cameras are capable of recording much larger native images than any DVR. A 3 megapixel security camera will record an image at 2048 x 1536 pixels which is actually 9 times larger than the highest resolution a standalone DVR can record. This means you will get 9 times more detail! There are several configurations you can set up with our Megapixel security cameras. They can connect through the network to our Hybrid Ultimate Series DVR, they can act as a standalone recorder by recording to an internal 32GB SD card, they can also record to our NVRs or to a PC using our PSS software. | ||
