I bought one of these alarms and I carry it in my purse. When I travel I use it in my hotel room window if I need it and anytime I am in crowded places I use the handbag function. (To use with your handbag you put on the wrist strap and connect the alarm strap to your handbag. If someone grabs it, the alarm clip is pulled out and the alarm immediately sounds.) It's small, but it works great and is very loud for its size.
