The specs online for this camera show 12V DC.  The manual on page 31 shows that AC24V is optional.  So will this camera accept either DC12V or AC24V?

No that camera is only available in 12V. The manual says optional because the factory can build them with either 12V DC or 24V AC. However, our VD-EF700IR100L2812-W is a dual voltage camera so you can power it with either 12V DC or 24V AC.

I supposed I could utilize a CV-24AC-12VDC at the camera also.  I may need to speak to someone prior to ordering hardware if I get the bid.  It's going to be tricky just because it is a very old building that is not friendly for running cable.  If placing a balun in a couple locations would work and be stable it could make it a lot easier.
