I purchased a 8 channel elite mini economy dvr. I installed a western digital wd800jd hard drive and it records perfectly well up until the hard drive becomes full. After that, the dvr continually restarts itself, seemingly unable to overwrite the hard drive. The only way I've been able to get it to record on the hard drive again is to format it through the menu. Is there anyway to get it to continually write on the drive? (the write setting is already set to overwrite).  Cry

Hello,

I seen this issue before, this is due to an incompatibility with the firmware in the Hard Drive Model. Unfortunately the only way to fix that is using a larger Hard Drive, i.e a 250GB or a 500GB.

Thanks

AYYEE... Quote messed up lol.  Thanks, that makes sense though. Nothing I did was able to make it overwrite. I guess that's what I get for cheaping out on the hard drive Confused.
